As a Greek living in Spain, I am happy the average Greek restaurant is way better than the Spanish. Porta anihti confirmed my statement. My Spanish partner really enjoyed the food too. Other than the food, the personell was very attentive and the service was really quick.

Salty experience Found it through tripadvisor.com. It is not a 5 star rated restaurant. Even though the stuff is very friendly and the place is nice, the food was not ok especially for dinner because something goes wrong with the salt. 3 out of 4 plates had not the correct amount of salt. The pork steaks were bearly edible and felt like they put salt twice! When we informed them, the answer was some people like it like that, others find it saltless!!! Anyways, it is not recommended for now but I will give it a try again in few weeks. It was also a bit expensive. More than 20/person with beer as a drink

Nive taverna/restaurant with a variety of choices. From traditional Greek to more contemporary choices. We really like the atmosphere and decoration!! Definitely worths a visit for a casual lunch or dinner. I got a medium rare steak which was really juicy. I didn't like the butter potatoes but that was a personal taste. The steak came with 3 different interesting salt mixes! The stuff is polite and nice.

Visited Porta Anihti with friends. It is located in the charming part of western Thessaloniki near a fantastic "forgotten" museum and a theater. Porta Anihti has a modern and fresh interior but reflects the soul of the neigbourhood. With an outdoor serving area and the entire front of the restaurant opening up to the square in good weather it really lives up to its name "open door" (if my Greek is not failing me). The service was very good and the staff spoke English. We had a variety of dishes and they were all fantastic. Well prepared and with flavours that makes your mouth water for more. The menu has many vegetarian choices as well as fish and meat. We are definitely coming back to try the rest of the menu.

Very nice and cozy! We found it by chance and decided to give it a try since we are staying nearby. It was an excellent choice. The food was very tasty and we loved it! We ordered chicken and pork and it was properly cooked, which is not that common in restaurants! Reasonably priced and with a nice atmosphere, modern and urban! All in all, we loved it and definitely recommend it!

This is a nice place, with a kind and helpful staff. Its major shortcoming is the food. The staff recommended the T-bone steak which was either not fresh and/or poorly prepared. The most unfortunate part of the dish was the accompanying potatoes which must have been prepared three or more days in advance. Such a mistake for this place to offer this side dish. The spinach salad was interesting but with an overpowering use of garlic in the zucchini, unnecessary, to say the least. The baked vegetables were prebaked, left aside and reheated. And here is the question: why does a cook feel the need to do that? The place was empty, there was enough time to prep and cook everything and serve it to us freshly made warm and delicious. Finally, we had a nicely coated and deep-fried cheese with honey which compared to the rest of the meal was decent. On a friendly note, this is a place where someone could do so much more if food wise they stick to the basics. Simple and fresh is always the best.

Amazing delicious kitchen. We stayed at lazard hotel and this restaurant is nearby. Friendly service and quality prepared diner, delicious dessert and a liquor to top it off, we recommend highly.

Great restaurant with lots of delicious meals. Our child has celiac and the restaurant prepared special dishes for him although its not in the english menu and it was good.

Hugely impressed with this local business, food was varied but packed with amazing local flavours. Mushroom risotto was my favourite, looking forward to going back soon.

Their 3 course meal is great. The vegetables salads 👌. Great pork, grilled Chicken and an insanely huge T-bone. Very good staff too.

We went out here for dinner, the chicken fillet was great and the fresh orange juice was amazing, when we ordered it we saw someone holding the oranges and the prawn dishes were delicious

An excellent restaurant in the western suburbs of Thessaloniki. The service was impeccable and the plates were very tasteful. I believe that the the chef in this restaurant is just great. I would definitely recommend this!

A very pleasant surprise! We visited the place just to try it without having any reference. It was more of a success! The plates were excellent and the staff very professional and pleasant. We liked the home wine as well! Also the outdoor patio was very nicely decorated and generally provides a nice atmosphere. We will definitely visit again. Highly recommended!

What a dinner!!! The most tasteful and beautiful food. Fantastic staff which made the evening perfect. We will most definitely come back and will highly recommend it!
