I have dined in great restaurants all over the world including Michelin. A great restaurant isn’t just about food but rather service and customer experience. I have been astonished by the rudeness of the staff and how stuck up they are! Don’t confuse this place with Heston Blumenthal’s Fat Duck because it isn’t - not even close. Thessaloníki has an amazing food scene with astonishing street food choices and traditional flavours known for their popularity all over Greece and internationally. It is also known for their hospitality. I would avoid this restaurant if you are looking for a value for money experience (and it is expensive).

Bad service, mediocre food. It used to be a good place but not anymore. Good appetizers, bad main dishes, long time between transition from starters to mains. Unexpectedly loud music. Restaurant is cold, we got seated by the window and had to dine wearing jackets!! Common, for this price per head you have to do better. No reason to visit.

This is only the 2nd restaurant in this city which I have found to be flawless in all departments. It's not posh or pretentious, everything is cooked to perfection and you get an honest, top quality treatment in a restaurant so discretely familiar, it almost feels like you've been going there forever. There is no way to describe the dishes, which are 100% as you would expect them to be. I honestly don't feel I should judge the food they serve in any way, it would be unfair. Everything we ordered was absolutely perfect, and clearly better than most dishes we've had elsewhere in the past. Order anything from the menu, you won't regret it. Staff are also flawless: Eager to explain and suggest alternatives, polite and efficient, and absolutely discrete. You get the added bonus of a nice, quiet garden. Not over-decorated, but also not left to chance. We felt it was the perfect setting for a great meal. The highlight of this place might be the kitchen. It's not just an "open" kitchen, staff are actually cooking in the same space where you dine, just a few steps away from your table. If you're worried about noise from the kitchen, there's none. You actually often forget that people are cooking next to you. This is hands down the best restaurant experience I've ever had. We paid around €100 for two main dishes, one appetizer, a salad, two desserts and a bottle of wine. I would be happy paying 150, and it would still be cheap for the overall experience and the quality of food that you get.

Came here for a wedding dinner. Everything we tried was absolutely amazing. The salads, appetisers and meats all of the highest quality. The ambience is also excellent. I would highly recommend trying this restaurant. It’s not cheap but it is worth it.

Overall a nice restaurant to enjoy your dinner here! We enjoyed differnt types of dishes and the portions are quite big i have to say which is good! Atmosphere is also good and food is also really good. Service generally was good but there were 2 things for improvement; it took 30 minutes for the main course to arrive and also the orzo was not very well cooked, although very tasty. Overall worth coming!

Nice place, good food , but not as it used to be .. the addition to the mediocre food now they serve cold red wine !!! Like literally from the fridge!! When we asked for an explanation they said the weather was cold (with temperatures around 20 degrees Celsius) , they also added that they have only three reds that they serve in the correct temperature.. ( sounds kinda stupid) , and rude waiters except for one that was probably new … anyway .. not planning on revisiting in the near future .. take care of your business guys

It's one of these cases where you can't actually spot something wrong but there is nothing to make you happy there. Personell was polite but seemed kinda bored. Food was ok but nothing special. Prices a bit on the upper side. There is no personality in that place

Disappointing experience. Average food. Not expensive considering the huge portions. But disappointing nonetheless. The service was disgusting. Very snobby and inattentive. We had to ask more than a few occasions to refill our wine glasses. We would do so ourselves but they kept the wine away from us! If you aspire to offer quality service hire more waiters so you can do so. Waiters were borderline rude when we asked what desserts are available. Only plus was the cosy vibes of the decoration. Plus the excellent valet service. Hence, the two stars. I would avoid. Not for the prices but for the lack of culinary excitement and absent service.

Amazing place for food!!! Cozy area with very friendly and professional staff. Big variety of wines. Food is served in perfection. Loved the beef fillet!!! Food is cooked in front of you.

As we tasted many dishes from the menu, we can easily conclude that the food is mediocre to poor . Specifically, one of our main dishes was that of the beef tagliata,which was extremely salty, and that of the ravioli, which was mediocre. Our starters were the burrata and the sea scallop, making both mediocre too(especially when you ask 7 euro for each piece). Finally ,to be fair, the fish soup was tasty and the atmosphere was nice. Further improvements suggested to the service too.

Nice food, atmosphere and service with unexpected and without reason high prices. 40-50 euro/person (without bottle of wine) is considered too much for what they offer. Maybe they need to reconsider their prices.

Mediocre experience, too expensive for what it offers. Food was OK, other than the meat which is not cooked properly. Especially the wagyu should never be this thin and is a joke priced at 60€. Would have been 2-3 stars of it weren't for the staff allowing a party to smoke despite our complaints.

Food was good enough. Risotto was delicious. Ravioli with beef was very tasty but the salad had a little bit more salt than it should. The atmosphere was pleasant. Would go again.

We were a party of 8, and had a wonderful evening. The restaurant is beautiful, service efficient and attentive and the food was excellent. We shared a ton of appetizers, and the octopus was the best I’ve had - tender, perfectly prepared, delicately but lovingly spiced served on a bed of chard. Exceptional. Great wine list too.

Second time. Obviously not nearly enough. Visiting Thessaloniki from Athens for business, and what a better idea to enjoy Thessaloniki's finest than with one of my most adorable friends at the most hospitable environment you can possibly imagine. Kudos on the ambience, the food, the service, the Chef. And what a Chef. She's is a diamond in the rough. Hands down the most value for money place. Least pretentious ever. Can't wait to come back. Unfortunately after summer since they will be relocating to Σχοινουσα. Lucky islanders.....

It is definitely a very exquisite and very unique restaurant to visit with its open kitchen. The hospitality of the owner Ioanna is very welcoming. The food is a classic Greek menu that is very delicious. We will definitely visit again!!!

I was in Thessaloniki for bussiness and have had a late lunch here. Did go for the fish options and everything was delicious! The dishes look and taste great! This restaurant will be the reason to visit Thessaloniki again.

Very bad service! I wait a long time for water. There was 2 children with me… the waiters were passing by my table and don’t pay attention. (We were 9 people). Only the food is OK as always.

We’ve been here more than once. To be honest I was disappointed on both occasions but for totally different reasons. The most recent experience was bitterly unpleasant. It was raining heavily, parking valet was nowhere to be seen and a young gentleman came out who was very rude and abrupt. We asked for help parking and he rudely waved us to other side of road and walked away. He could have been politer or offered an umbrella for my wife or tried to be helpful. InsteAd he wanted us to go. 2 minutes later we saw two cars with a big group went inside and parked without any complaint or moving cars after, we suspected it’s because we are foreign or he thought we were tourists. No manners or education, just rudeness and arrogance. We went to Electra palace roof top restaurant after and I suggest the owners of this restaurant visit to understand how their staff should be trained in etiquette. My wife and I have been in Michelin star and 5* restaurants all over greece and Europe and for a place which pertains to be this level, the attitude and service was disgusting and not close. We suspect the higher reviews here were from locals who came once or twice and have little understanding and compared to a village taverna- then it would be five stars by comparison. The previous time we came we were treated better although most of the waiters were still a little arrogant and rude. We noticed washed up middle age bazouki singers and pretentious clients but the food was not at the level one would expect. I ordered the 65 euro wagyu beef steak but when it arrived I was disappointed with lack of marbling of fat of which wagyu is famous for. We could have been very regular clients but the last experience and arrogance put us off forever. I give 2 stars as the starters and salad were fine.

The Duck of Thessaloniki is a small restaurant at the outskirts of the city. The decor and experience is nice but nothing outstanding. The food is good, mainly meat but also seafood. Prices are high as expected. Wine list is one of the highlights with extensive selection of Greek and international wines. Overall a nice experience.

Best and lovely place for lunch and dinner. Salads are delicious , big portion and fresh. The meal with fagri fish is amazing
