During our visit there was a Thessaloniki Bienale of contemporary art and on the last floor, the Costakis collection/20th century Russian paintings/ but small part of it!

I like it a lot! It's in a very nice old building. The exhibition is also managed very well. It's a surprise for the day.

Every time I am in Thessaloniki, I am trying to visit the George Costakis collection. Every six months there are different items on display. It is a must for people that love and appreciate modern art. Thessaloniki is blessed to house such a unique collection of world fame.

This gallery have 2 floors and you can see collection of George Costacis. He collected paintings of Russian Avant - garde. Whole place have special charm of hidden history of people affected by october revolution.

We've visited the museum to see Kostakis' collection. The place is well organized and the way the paintings were presented was nice and imaginative.

Okay for fans of modern art I guess.

Well, there is nothing to say for a place like this! Just visit and you will be surprised by its quality and the quality of the exhibitions!

A good museum of contemporary art. Hosts temporary exhibitions and the great Kostakis collection of Russian avant guard. One of the biggest collections of the kind. When visited (1/2018) hosted the 6th bienalle.

Great Exhibition of Russian Avante Garde art

One of the richests collections of Russian Avant-Garde, properly preserved and exhibited. Very nice place, a few steps from Thessaloniki's center. Do not hesitate to plan a visit - Many thanks for the guide and info provided by museum's personnel

The subject of the Costakis collection is the avant-garde art of Russia and the early Sovjet Union. The current exhibition is "50+1 Stories from the Costakis Collection". It has pieces from the collection coupled with parts of the diaries of Costakis and is very interesting. All the pieces are very good presented and there is a lot to read. So much to read, that a bought the catalog to read everything later at home. It is from 8 june till 12 november 2023.

Beautiful museum with friendly and accomdating staff.

I ve been following this musreum since the early 00s and its one of the most exciting institutions in the city. It hosts shirt term exhibitions mostly of contemporary art and new media. I strongly recommend it

I loved all of the MoMus. I think I visited four of them total, this one was very interesting.

The best collection of Russian avant-garde

Absolutely brilliant collection of Russian avant-garde art which was well worth the long(ish) walk from city centre. Excellent documentary helps to explain the journey taken by the artists, as well as the role played by Costakis as collector. Fascinating.
