A place you have to visit! Not only serbs have to see this, everyone should see for what the people fought in the WW1, especially at the Solun Front - peace and freedom! We met grandpa Djordje, who told us about the history and that he is for over 60 years the keeper over all the fallen soldiers who left their lives for our future. A big thank you and respect to him and the soldiers who found their peace there.

Whenever in Thessaloniki, I visit Zejtinlik, the Serbian graveyard! Thousands of Serbian soldiers burried there. And I always think of my uncles I hadn't had the chance to meet because of the Wars. And always pay respect to all killed In Wars...

(Translated by Google) A new guard unworthy of the former. Uncle Djordje always greeted us with some warmth, reciting songs by Milutin Bojic, stories about our heroes and this one now tells how he turned the interior and arranged the stones around the graves. (Original) Novi cuvar nedostojan bivseg . Cika Djordje nas je uvek docekivao sa nekom toplinom, recitovanjem pesama Milutina Bojica, pricama o nasim junacima a ovaj sada prica kako je okrecio unutrasnjost i sredio kamencice oko grobova.

Zejtinlik is very important for Serbia. Been several times, always met Serbian tourists. For this reason, I think that this place, that is, the complex, should not be forgotten by the countries of Italy, Russia, Britain and France, since their soldiers rest here. Even though old Djordje is no longer with us, the lady who continued to share the story of Zejtinlik explains the importance of this complex in a very pleasant and beautiful way, and it was very interesting to listen to her. Son was pleasantly surprised by the tone and words she chose to explain the place to the children. We're coming for some more answers. S.
