Very nice luxury hotel near city center. Outstanding breakfasts. Delicious food. Friendly staff. The hotel has very interesting design. There is little outdoor terrace inside a hotel. Room was very clean. Bed was comfortable. The only small disadvantage is that you need to go 15 minutes to be at the sea promenade (the hotel has a sea view but there is a big industrial Harbour right in front a hotel so you need to go around it). I enjoyed my stay very much.

Super noisy, far from anything and an industrial smell from the harbour. We had a group of teenagers occupying the floors and they were super noisy. The management didn’t really care! They also wanted to charge a stupid price for charging the car: 7€/hour. Can’t recommend

Very nice, upscale hotel. Staff here is FANTASTIC, they went out of their way to ensure we had a nice stay. The restaurant in the hotel is very good, we ate at it multiple times. The heart of Thessaloniki where all of the best restaurants and bars is a short cab ride away or about a 25 minute walk.

The hotel definitely was below my expectations (and I'm usually not a very critical reviewer). At best, I would consider this a 2nd tier 5 star hotel in need of renovation. It starts by no one offering their help with the luggage. The check-in took some time because the clerk got distracted by another call mid procedure. My room was difficult to find as there are absolutely no signs as to where which room number is and it's not a small hotel. Same happened on the way to the pool where I, and another guest, got lost because there are no signs on anything, not even in the elevators (of which only one can take you up to the pool but not the other). The pool towels have seen their best days and have huge "Diesel" brand logos on them, as if someone purchased them in bulk at a cheap beach souvenir shop. The pool chairs are/look also rather used up. There is no shower (which I consider a bit unsanitary. UPDATE: as the hotels response says, there seem to be pool showers, so I wrongfully assumed there no showers since they are "open air". My mistake). One waiter and the pool bar was very slow, the other one also seemed annoyed by her work. Definitely not professionals. The lifeguard, handling the towels, in contrast was very friendly! The rooms need renovation. The furniture is used up, with scratches everywhere, even on the old tv set screen. The rooms still look nice from a distance and the bed is very comfortable. The harbour view (for which you pay slightly extra) is okay-ish. The toilet paper is super thin and after my first shower, the shower sink started smelling rather badly until the end of my stay (only one night). Breakfast is good. Omelette "a la carte". The organe juice was very very bad though (artificial taste) and again, the staff seems "untrained" (cutting people off, not holding doors), but somewhat friendly. What I really liked was that it was very generous and easy to get a later check-out. The check-out staff was also very friendly and very eager to help me with the taxi and everything. The very last moments were actually by far the most pleasant. Maybe on some things I was just unlucky. All in all, it's okay to stay here but definitely not the typical 5 star experience. A week earlier I stayed at a 5 star boutique hotel in Thessaloniki which doesn't have the same amount of facilities but everything else (rooms, food, service and staff) was easily 2 levels above the met and the room was the same price.

The hotel is large and definitely set out to be high end. It is let down in part by being in a partly industrial area but with a short walk you can be in the touristy area. Beds are comfy but there is a lot of noise leakage, particularly if your door looks into the multi-floor atrium. The food is ok but didn't seem to have much local. There was a large event going on when I arrived and the whole place was busy, and no rooms were available for early check-in.

Clean and neat, professional and friendly staff. Location is a little far from the center if you aren’t a fan of walking.

An absolutely amazing hotel. The rooms are spacious. Sadly the balconies are quite small and don't have any tables or sitting so you can enjoy a coffee outside but that's fine by me. The services were amazing and quick. The staff are always kind and helpful. The location of the hotel is a very good one it's near a lot of shops restaurants and coffee shops. The hotel has an amazing selection of food and drinks both for breakfast and dinner and I enjoyed both meals very much. In general I would strongly recommend this hotel if you ever visit the town of Thesalloniki.

If I could give zero stars I would. This hotel is so nasty and filthy with poor customer service. I booked this hotel for two nights, upon checking in they told me they didn’t see my reservation. But still gave me the key to the room. When I got to the room I noticed it was bugs every where. I am allergic to ants it was a lot of them by the window. I let the hotel know I wouldn’t be staying and would be leaving they don’t wanna issue me a refund for not staying on top of their poor customer service. Stay away from their. Worst experience traveling to Greece

Really modern and well designed hotel 👏🏻 If you love to chill in lounge areas, this hotel has like 10 of them. Great hospitality, putting it as my go to hotel in Thessaloniki 📈

Beautiful luxury hotel just outside city centre. Great roof top pool. The spa facilities are excellent. Service excellent. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful hotel. Up there with one of the best 5 star hotels iv stayed in across the world. The customer service was spot on. The design of the hotel, rooms & facilities are brilliant. The buffet breakfast is absolutely amazing. The shuttle service to the main square on the hr is a bonus. It's about a 20 min stroll if you want to walk. 👌👏

Top-notch service and overall lovely facilities but realistically the location leaves something to be desired being a solid 35’ walk away from the center. The hotel offers a free shuttle that runs hourly but within a rather limited window so getting a cab is often necessary. Considering the location the and the fact that it’s Thessaloníki the room prices are a little up there. The breakfast buffet was well worth including it as part of the booking (it gets much more expensive if purchased after the fact) and the fact that they offer table service coffees and someone to constantly refill your water is a rare boon. All in all my only grievance was the inconvenient location but apart from that the place was stellar.

The services were amazing and quick. The staff are always kind and helpful. The location of the hotel is a very good one it's near a lot of shops restaurants and coffee shops. Such a beautiful modern design and very clean. The staff were incredible and catered to your every need, always friendly and helpful. The rooftop pool was very nice, the rooms were impressive considering the price.

I stayed at this hotel whilst travelling on business. Maria Agathaggelidou, the rooms division director, was incredibly responsive to feedback and ensured my stay was very comfortable. I am grateful for her help and prompt action.

Great hotel but a bit outside the city. Rooms clean and probably the most comfortable room I ever booked. Breakfast has a lot of variety and staff are always friendly and helpful

  • 5/5 Sabrina L. 7 months ago on Google
The hotel is highly modern and has a lot to offer. The whole staff is wonderful and very courteous! One disadvantage: the pool and the rooftop are only open between 10am to 6pm which is a pity because you cannot swim outside before or after work. :(

My stay at The Met Hotel was truly exceptional. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction. The hotel's sleek and modern design created a sophisticated atmosphere that instantly made me feel at home. The rooms were spacious, beautifully appointed, and equipped with all the amenities I could ask for. The panoramic views of the city from my room were breathtaking. The hotel's attention to detail extended to its dining options as well. I had the pleasure of enjoying a delicious meal at their onsite restaurant, where the culinary creations were a perfect blend of innovation and traditional flavors. The Met Hotel also boasts impressive leisure facilities, including a well-equipped fitness center and a stunning rooftop pool with a panoramic view. The location was convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and transportation. Overall, my experience at The Met Hotel was nothing short of exceptional, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a luxurious and unforgettable stay in Thessaloniki.

The best full service hotel with a terrific and friendly helpful staff.Has everything you want. Restaurant. Bar. Buffet breakfast. Rooftop pool and terrace.Valet Parking. Shuttle to city center or taxi can be called.Located in a rough, worn port neighborhood. Not recommended walking around. The hotel has black paneling so it's dark inside. Rooms have enough light switches to rival a 747 cockpit. They're unmarked so you need to toggle them to figure out what works what. Overall a great place to stay. Highly recommend it.

Using pool on 7 floor with 360 view on beautiful Thessaloniki was definitely very disappointed. Not enough umbrella for customers even we payed 90e just for entrance. Food menu very poor, not rubbish bin around and because of windy weather everywhere was dirty. They don't deserve 5 stars ✨️!!!

Amazing design hotel, super friendly staff and delicious breakfast! Rooftop pool is great for chilling! Will definately come back to this hotel - don’t be bothered that it’s not city center - taxi is 5€ to the main square!

I recently had the pleasure of attending a conference at the Met Hotel and the experience was outstanding. The staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating, the facilities were top-notch, and the food was delicious. The conference itself was well-organized and the presentations were insightful and engaging. I would highly recommend the Met Hotel for any conference or event.

THE Thessaloniki residence. A bit more distant, yet excellent service in a modern cosy setting. Perfect business and weekend lodging, value for money too.

Very beautiful hotel, with classy and minimalistic design. The view from our room was magnificent. Very clean, tasty food and the breakfast included everything one might wanted. Last but not least, (and the reason I am writing this post) is the kindness and helpfulness of the staff. I would like to thank them once more. We arrived late at night and they offered us a crib, for our 2month baby boy, free of charge, without a pre-order.

We wanted to stay at the 5 stars hotel and found this. This hotel looked beautiful in the pictures on the internet. We were very disappointed when arrived. Hotel deserves maximum 3 stars and the photographer an award. It looked like a communist factory. All is dark with carpets from ‘90, furniture is old. The only good things are - renovated bathroom and breakfast.

Great rooms and quick check-in. But decor is very gloomy. Everything is black or dark wenge'..!..You get the sense it's the Adams Family Hotel ..!

I have stayed in many 5 star hotels around Europe and US. The problem with this hotel is that it tries to be posh without offering anything special. Our executive room didn't even have a hairdryer...

Very good 5star hotel... probably the best in the city. Although in the city location not near city center and that is why I do not give 5 stars.

We decided to splash out for 2 days during our 10 weeks of travelling and chose to stay at the Met Hotel mainly for the roof swimming pool. Both days here the pool area was full and the only seating was at the bar, not sure if this was due to functions both days but no tables or chairs to sit at, just the deck chairs round the pool which are taken up by reserved towels right from the start, very disappointing. Our room was great however it was at the end of the hall next to the cleaners room so we had 2 cleaning trolleys and a grubby old cleaning room outside our door on both days, not what you would expect from a 5 star hotel. Breakfast was included in the booking and was good but only luke warm. The bed was super comfy so we had 2 great night sleeps, a table and chairs on the balcony would have been nice.

A very well designed hotel with the air of a Bond Villain's lair. You can tell someone put a lot of thought, care, and attention into the concept. The room was great, the food was delicious, the rooftop bar and swimming pool made it a very fun experience.

The breakfast is the only thing I would say that is value for money at this hotel. It has by far the worst illumination and lights of ever seen, no woman can do her make up in these rooms. The location is far from the center . Minimal but boring too

Me (29) and my (24) girlfriend have just come back from a lovely stay at The Met in Thessaloniki. Upon arrival the concierge take your bags for you and direct you towards reception. All the staff at the hotel, from reception to the bar, restaurant, pool, house keeping are fantastic. They are always happy to help such positive lovely people. Arriving at the room I would say the pictures online are a good representation of what your actually staying in. The air conditioning is great, the bed is comfy, the shower is fantastic. We were even left with some beautiful Greek bakery treats as a welcome token. Breakfast really was very good, it could get quite busy at times with a mix of holiday makers and business men. It had everything we wanted and more, I’d read previous reviews of people saying it was boring. I’d strongly disagree. There was fresh fruit, various versions of Greek yogurts, honeys, choc spreads, nuts, seeds, chocolate. A fantastic omelette station in the middle of the hotel food and the cold meats/cheeses. The hot food had Greek eggs, scrambled eggs, fried eggs, grilled tomatoes, bacon, mini sausages, spiced potatoes, feta pie, spinach pie. The list goes on, also a fantastic bakery section with focaccia, olive bread, pan au chocolate, seeded breads ect. Loads of sweet treats as well like cakes and brownies ect. The pool - Gorgeous design roof garden, it really was very stylish. Never had any issues with sun loungers, it would tend to get randomly busier after about 3. It was clear that none residents of the hotel were paying just to come and use the pool, but it was never an issue. It had a fantastic bar and restaurant service, the staff were so attentive bringing water and snacks with every drink you ordered. The food - it really never disappointed us. We tried everything from the Greek salads, mini burgers, Thai curry and spaghetti bolognese. All so tasty! Especially when the upstairs roof garden doubles as the restaurant at night with a lovely view of the city and the port. The location - I have to say that staying in multiple hotels all over the world this location for this style or hotel was strange. It’s a very modern hotel with a real business luxury feel throughout! But the location isn’t brilliant if I’m being honest, the view from the balcony was countless abandoned graffiti ridden factories. It didn’t change my overall view of the holiday but it’s worth remembering that if you just want a beautiful view, I doubt you’ll find it. It was roughly a 25 min direct walk into the city, a 4 euro taxi ride or the hotel offers a transfer bus system that would usually be every hour. But there would be random days it wouldn’t be on or finish and different times. Odd? Overall I’d come back, the city is brilliant. It has brilliant bars and restaurants. There is parking at The Met so hiring a car and exploring is easy. Whether it’s for business or a holiday I’d come back! We had a great time. Thank you

A very good hotel near the center with exceptional staff. The breakfast has a lot of options with high quality. We will definitely stay here again

Pros: The rooftop pool and bar is amazing and like the music they play as not too loud so you can still have a chat: however on one of the days the rooftop pool was closed and when we asked why they said due to weather but it was sunny outside and then later in the day quite a few hours later when it was windy and raining the pool was open.. Comfy bed and quiet surroundings so slept very well Friendly staff always on hand to help with any questions or requests Breakfast variety was very good something for everyone : however Hot items in breakfast always cold or luke warm made certain things unpleasant to eat like fried eggs. Late check out available Hotel shuttle bus to town centre: although we were a little annoyed as no one told us about this service when we checked in so ended up spending a small fortune on taxis as we didn't know about it until our last day Cons: Coridor very dark couldn't see where to put key card in when we first arrived at the room Not enough lighting in room Balcony covered with big metal bits ruined it a bit as couldn't really sunbathe on the balcony and would have been nice to have a table and chairs on the balcony No full length mirror in room which is minor detail but nice to have in any hotel room and an essential in my view In a five star hotel i would expect for them to offer dairy alternative milk for people with allergies and intolerances Roof top bar very expensive €6.50 for a plate of fries with some mayonnaise and €8 for a fruit plate Location of the hotel is not nice at all graffiti, rubbish everywhere and pretty much desserted area and about 30 min walk to harbour would not feel safe walking back at night

  • 5/5 Gurdip A. 1 year ago on Google
The hotel provides a shuttle bus to the town centre frequently throughout the day. They also pick you up at a fixed location and bring you back to he hotel... and its free. Food is also nice, and the roof top bar has some really good views.

Has style, it’s classy, big rooms with big restrooms nice lighting . Roof garden with nice vibe , very nice view of the port and nice pool. I didn’t like the breakfast though , everything was almost cold. Very basic things to eat for breakfast..

One of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Such a beautiful modern design and very clean. The staff were incredible and catered to your every need, always friendly and helpful. The rooftop pool was very nice, the rooms were impressive considering the price and the free shuttle to “downtown” was very convenient.

Very nice and contemporary design. Delicious food and very nice breakfast. Location is not its main advantage. Interestingly, I do like the view to Thessaloniki from the pool on the last floor as well as the cranes on the port during sunset. Very nice scenery.
