Careful, bedbugs! Our stay was an absolute disaster. We had bedbugs in the entire room, the jetpak team did not at all help us with that, as we were not even allowed to use their washing machine, even though it was in the middle of the night. The German couple who owns the place promised us a refund, which we never got. After we got back home we emailed them repeatedly but they responded that it’s not their problem. Thessaloniki is lovely but stay as far away as possible from this place:)

Terrible experience. Our entire room was infested with bed bugs- for quite some time, judging from the smell and marks on the matresses. The owners promised us a refund. To this day (months later) we have not received any money despite many reminders and emails. Would not recommed to stay here if you can avoid.

Great hostel, very safe and central. The owner opened the hostel 2 weeks before my stay, so only 4 other people were staying. I spent 2 nights there and it was a great way to chill and rest after a long day of transportation / discovery of the city. The rooms are really nice, and the staff is super friendly. I also met amazing people there. This hostel is a great trustable project, and we should support it. Jetpack Alternative deserve way more guest and success. I definitely recommend it!

Highly recommend this hostel! One of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed at. It’s a beautiful building with spacious rooms, high ceilings and unique tiles. The bed is very big, comfortable and there’s a lot of floor space to pack your bags. The location is perfect as it’s near all the main attractions, food places and bus stops. The showers, floors and beds are very clean. The first floor lounge is nice and homely, with some fresh fruits and jams available - such an very inviting space to chill and eat. Most notably, the owner is very hospitable and sweet. She provides all guests with free coffee from her espresso machine and is very attentive when guests need help. Shout out to Sofia for being so friendly and helpful as well! This hostel was honestly the highlight of our trip to Thessaloniki. Thank you Jetpak Alternative for this amazing experience :)

Highly recommend. Lovely hostel, the owner was delightful and helpful in recommending places around Thessaloniki. The room was lovely. Big bed and personal area. I find in hostels I don’t have much space to spread out. It was not the case at jetpak. Very relaxing to be able to spread out and repack my bag.

I've been to many hostels, but Jetpak Alternative is definitely one of the best ones ever! The hostel itself is great - it is located in the "hotspot" area of Thessaloniki, where all the young people are coming. It has very comfy beds and amazing bathrooms with great showers. It is so clean, that I've felt like being in a pharmacy at some point. The hostel has a lounge area with a kitchen (and free breakfast). It also has a rooftop where you can chill out and meet other folks, which is a very cool thing to have in hostels! The owner, Neil, is such a great guy. He helped me so much, and he even showed me around the hostel, which I have never experienced before. I have really enjoyed having a great conversation with Neil, and I am very grateful for everything. Overall, Jetpak Alternative is an excellent hostel

Worth the extra few euros. It was refreshing to stay in such a big hostel with such comfortable beds and awesome bathrooms. The staff is sweet too!

Racist people. Wanted to book a bed for a friend in person for one night as there weren't any more rooms available in our hotel. The woman at the reception rejected us very rudely after asking where my friend was from, despite the fact that we had enough money and passports on hand and that there were rooms available.

The hostel is very well located and staff is friendly. Unfortunately I had two horrible night there. Beds are made out of memory foam and pillows are entirely flat, so it personally felt like sleeping on a rock. The second night (Friday night) was the worst. I hadn’t realised that there was a club that closes at 6am just below the hostel so I ended up not closing the eyes the entire night as the music was extremely loud and disturbing my sleep. Even with earplugs the bases were irritating and the vibrations quite agressive to the ears. When checkout is before 11 the next day… it isn’t pleasant at all. Also, the WiFi doesn’t quite reach the private room so altogether not the best first nights in Thessaloniki sorry.

We booked a room for few hours as we had a late flight. The chap there was very friendly, gave us some tips about the area, including bus route and fares. The room and bathrooms were ever so clean, and just served the purpose! As we are a couple in our 30s we wouldn't book for an extended stay as we became rather fussy and like a bit of comfort, however, for emergencies and late flights, we d definitely re book

One of the best hostels I’ve stayed at comfortable beds and amazing bathrooms especially the showers. The building has a vet high ceiling which lends it a spacious feeling. The Rooms are also beautiful. Almost like a hotel instead of a hostel. Spittle more expensive, but j Wwould definitely recommend booking.

One of the best hostel i have ever been, without a doubt, with a lot of space, huge and comfortable bed and also the toilet, super clean and with a lot of space. And at the reception the girl is kind a nice! A suggestion for everyone that’s wants to spend few days close to the Centre of Thessaloniki

Great stay. Clean, organised, friendly atmosphere in the heart of Thessaloniki. Best showers I’ve used in a hostel. Hans Grohe shower heads, need to say more? Neil, the owner. Helpful and very knowledgeable about what to do, what/where to eat, simply just a great guy strike up a conversation with.

Very cool hostel, Gūl is super helpful with all your needs and wants in Thessaloniki. Beds are in custom crafted pods, so privacy in upper bunks, in this beautiful old building. Common area with fast WiFi, but no cooking facilities.

Great stay at the heart of the Thessaloniki! Next to everything! Very clean and comfortable! And the nicest people in the city!

Everything was nice. New hostel, so all is brand new. Friendly staff , nice breakfast, nice roof top. All nice.

On top of the prime location next to where all the cool stuff is and walking distance from the must places. The host is both a pro and real person that made everything great for us during our stay. Best place to land in, and home to come back to before heading out.

This is a great place to stay! I ended up staying for two nights instead of one. I met some awesome travellers, and the host, Neil, who was accomodating and knew all about the happenings in town. The rooms amd bathrooms were clean, comfortable, and pleasantly designed. I highly recommend staying here ☺

Rooms were super spacious, I loved being on the top bunk as it felt quite private, plenty of room around the actual mattress so you could easily keep bags etc.. there are two powerpoints and a light at every bed, fantastic! The bathrooms are super nice too! Free breakfast is reasonable. Location is really good, close to lots of shops and waterfront. Definitely would stay again! Only downside is there was only two lockers in the room for 8 people and there were two big windows/doors with no curtains so sleeping in was hard. Overall it was really good!
