I was on a trip to Thessaloniki with some friends and I definitely recommend this place. The staff are super quick and friendly. They handed us English menu's when they saw us struggle to translate the Greek one. They also helped us rearrange some tables so all 8 of us could sit together. The food is very good, we came back to eat here a second time the next day and we received some dessert for free! It has more of a takeaway vibe than a long sit-down kind of thing. But that was perfect, since that was exactly what we were looking for. So if you're looking for a quick, reasonably priced, good meal in Thessaloniki, this is the place! We came here out if curiosity following the food reviews, we order a bavarian hot dog and thessabun burger, well very disappointed, the sausages seems like the one from lidl, the patty burger had very strange flavor, perhaps we were unlucky with the selection, but based on this experience i won't recommend. We bought it to the stranded dogs. Price a bit high compare to the quality, self service.

So, to start with, I was a bit hesitant to try bao 包子 again and that's mainly because most places I ve tried out bao buns at, they were serving them with 90% bread 10% filling, meat, veggies or w/e and on top of that they were pricey as f..k So, not only was I pleasantly surprised by the fresh and warm bao, the one with panseta (pork strips) I tried was friggin awesome... From the moment I held it into my hands(much like a baby), the smell, the texture, the taste...I can easily describe it with 3 words... Tears, mouth-watering, DELICIOUS! I got to taste the one with "Panseta" (Abt 3.5 euros) and the other with "Pulled pork" (Abt 4.5 euros)both of which were amazing, the portions are good enough even if you eat one, the filling is really generous and on top of that you can ask them to exclude anything you don't like in it. Can't wait to try them all !

Little gem in Thessaloniki city center! Bao buns were fluffy and super delicious, don't forget to check out the day's plates! Bougatsa and banoffee sweet fried bao buns surprising but very tasty!

Delicious homemade bao buns! Their bread is fresh and very fluffy! We tried the pulled pork bao bun with black beer and honey which was excellent! A place to visit again and again!

Mouthwatering baobuns and amazing greek potatoes!! Good pricing too, 2 bao buns with potatoes and 2 drinks costed us 12€.

Exceptional and worth every penny. I would recommend spicy shrimp with sriracha and greek style patatoes with pesto sauce. Open a bottle of beer and enjoy the street view.

Awesome delicious bao bans, good prices and nice fillings. The location is nothing special but it's worth it because of the taste and variety. We tried the Pulled Pork with black beer and honey and liked it very much (4,10€). Self service, there are outside some stand tables (three/four tables) and inside you can find only a long table with a few barstools.

Highly recommended street food style restaurant. Great cooking meat , high quality , and tasty. Bao buns at their best. Location is at the center of Thessaloniki city, with many parking lots in the area . Staff is multilingual and very helpful with the order. Great experience at all.

Great casual street food near the ladadika area in the port of thessaloniki. Variety of bao buns both for meat eaters and vegan people. Fast service cool soft drinks. You should definitely try the potato side dish with truffle oil and fries egg!!!

I had high expectations. But it turned out not that interesting, not that good and expensive. I ll say that my mother in law is from the Philippines and BAO is something that I eat regularly. So I was not impressed. Small portion and acceptable taste but not great

An unimaginable variety of delicious choices offered by really friendly and helpful stuff. All products are moderately priced especially given the high quality of all the ingredients they use.

The boa burgers are absolutely amazing - all ingredients are perfectly balanced and the bao buns are the real star of the show. We ordered some simple fries for sides and got some dips for free.. thank you. The boutiques team is super friendly - keep it going ✊

Really creative twist of the traditional Chinese bao buns! Everything was delicious, the prices really good and the stuff friendly and helpful. A very satisfying experience. I totally recommend this place!

The combination of tastes, spices and textures is wonderful and you can feel the passion, creativity and thoughtfulness that went into making these products from the very first bite. High quality gourmet junk food, or simply fine street food! I had the courage and strength to exagerate over lunch and tasted the peking duck, the bbq pork, the chicken curry and the chinatown shrimp... It was a food crime! It was mind-blowing! Even tried their fried bao mpougatsa! New Town favourite! Great food presentation and service by the kitchen team!

Best street food I’ve ever had ! Perfectly done! Is a mix between Greek with Asian, or how I called it: next level of “gyros”. I highly recommend it to have a quick bite there or take away. For tourists and for locals, really good!

Very tasty burgers / bao buns. The salad was big and also very tasty. Potatoes with egg and truffle mayo, very nice. Definitely a must visit place for a brunch when in Thessaloniki. Reasonable price for the quantity. We came back a second time.

The food excited my expectations! They serve exactly what they advertise: “Fine street food” and let me tell you Fine Street Food it is. Everything is placed within a Bao, a Chinese type of bread which tastes awesome by the way. “What you see us what you get” is an understatement in this place, because the food tastes even better from what it looks. If you are visiting Thessaloniki, “ThessBao” is a MUST visit. You will not be disappointed!

The best bao bun in town (not to say in country)!! So big variety on vegetarian bao buns I haven’t seen even in Athens!!😳 And every option is so interesting and yummy that every time I don’t know what to choose.
Last time I also tried the Crushed Potatoes and they also were delicious. The simple not so much but the info soo soo much. 🤤 The desserts are satisfactorily but if you need to chose only one dish try a savoury one.
