To be honest, the only word I have to describe this place is: sad. This was obviously once a well-meaning and interesting cultural landmark, but it is equally obvious that the place has fallen prey to neglect and disrepair. The two saving graces at this place are the high-tide waves on the shore and the cafe with refreshing and flavorful ginger drinks.

Cosy space where you can take nice pictures. There’s a woman museum nearby. I recommend checking it. It costs 1000 XOF.

Lovely outdoor space where you can stroll for a nice view. Lovely structure of the African map too. Would recommend for a peaceful walk after brunch at Radisson.

It was terribly hot the day we went, and it was not very active as a result of the holiday. But the views of the Dakar coast are very beautiful, and there are interesting murals.

Went to visit the Art Gallery. Everyone looks sleepy. Nobody was around to assist. Finally I needed to go to the toilet, I will regret this my whole life. Really disgusting!

Nice place with monuments related to Africa and suitable for a nice walk or walking by the sea yet I felt it was neglected and old

Interesting architecture, takes one on a great tour of great African and Black minds. The rocky beach nearby is just perfect.

Was there for Yousou Ndour show. I didn't have a chance to visit the site but the show was awesome. Site is easily accessible by the way.

This is one place not to miss when visiting Dakar. The vast esplanade leading to the beach is to be seen: vast, beautiful and ending with an open view of the sea. Greek looking "palaces" hostinh an amphitheater and a spectacle room as well as wall portraits of Senegal renowned authors and intellectual, such as Sembème Ousmane and other authors remind you the place is about cultural heritage of Senegal. If you pass through Dakar, this is a must see.

Been here twice. First to watch a ticketed concert and then an open market for Senegalese craft. The concert started way too late (not a surprise).

Great place to chill from the (sometimes) apokaliptika Dakar.. It feels to western in terms of environment and arquitecture but the frequent events happening here makes this place an interesting refuge.. But not to get to know local food and drinks and lifestyle.. Spend some time here but not too much..
