Kenyatta University (KU) is a public research university with its main campus in Nairobi County, Kenya. It acquired the status of university in 1985, being the third university after University of Nairobi  (1970) and Moi University (1984). As of October 2014, it was one of 23 public universities in the country. ::History:: In 1965, the British government handed over the Templar Barracks in Kahawa, to the newly formed government of Kenya. The barracks were then converted into a college called Kenyatta College. In 1970, Kenyatta College became a constituent college of the University of Nairobi, and its name changed to Kenyatta University College, following an Act of Parliament. In 1985, it was granted full university status and was renamed Kenyatta University

I'm a student at Kenyatta university and I can boldly say,it's an explicit place to study. Security is a top notch as compared to all other universities around. Restaurants in all the class shades, we call them food outlets.clean food with friendly chefs. A consideration for the disabled is one thing very much observed . It's basically the best place to be

Environment is superb and very welcoming. Good people and proper procedure put in place. Ample parking. Has special access for people with special needs. Several amenities available such as lecture halls. Hostels. Tuck shops and atm booths. Swimming pool also available and specious grounds

Expansive infrastructure for learning, teaching and research Art Complex. Business and Student Centre hosts bank ATMs. School of Engineering. School of Economics. School of Education to mention a few. Virtual Learning Centre. Computer labs.

In my 3rd year at this uni and honestly, it is one of my best choices in life. The school is like a village or a self contained city (banks, hospital, gyms, shopping centres, studios, swimming pools, training centres, gardens, outlets...name it, its there! Now, I'm probably biased because I love it but its so big and places are scattered all over. You will need a guide, a map, and strength to walk around the place lol.

Kenyatta University is one of the major public university in Kenya. The university is located along Thinks Road and offers a variety of courses for students. It offers a great ambience study and socialisation. Students can study courses from certificate, Diploma, Undergraduate, Masters, Doctorate UpTo PHD Level.

Kenyatta university is a nice place and a home away from home from the hostels to the lacturehalls to the mess and staff quarters with an everv clean environment and nature all around.the trees and monkeys also make the place look lively

The University has a great state of the art Library, which is however only open to students of the University. There are several places to relax, notably the Arboretum and the Campanile park

We visited the KU Funeral Home to pick the body of a kin for burial today. In terms of preserving bodies, the home is excellent...
