Five adults and a child enjoyed a filling hot meal in a relaxed, spacious, indoor environment for a fair price. The Kuku Bahati and Sauté Potatoes were plenty and tasty with a variety of vegetables and chicken. After a planned interval, we enjoyed the Grilled Marinated Goat Meat, which was excellent; it was really delicious. The vanilla ice cream was also enjoyed, although other flavours were not available. There's lots of car parking and the grounds are attractive with some lovely trees. Facilities for hand-washing are good. The toilets were clean, but staff need to check that all toilet doors could be locked and all soap dispensers contain soap.

Right after going past their gates, you might be disappointed due to the undone parking. But disappointments end there. Their is plenty and we'll paved parking and walkways as you proceed further in. The place is really huge with numerous orderly, well kept and with well manicured grounds. The food is good and well prepared, ambience is fine and the place is very child friendly. Best of all, the prices are just right👍

Serine and calm as you'd like. It's location is in a very cool and calm place, away from the busy movements of the cities. You'll love the garden set up, which makes it stand out from the normal get away places. The way the gardens are kept, ooh, lovely. It's ideal for kids day out, photoshoot, wedding, party or events or just a quite cool time with your loved one. The parking, a whole village can literally park at this place and still have more room, and it's safe and secure. Kids options, many..from the huge swing to the free bouncing castle. Services, superb, professionally presented and the food is great too. One visit will not be enough!!

Very nice place with a swimming pool and a big kids play area with a huge variety. I loved their service too. No delays, food was good and staff were courteous. My kids really enjoyed. Can't wait for another Sunday to visit.

Well. I would have wished to give this resort a five star but hell no. The management needs a team that clearly grasps Hospitality Management and what it takes to create repeat customers.

Dope grounds, lots of gardens for team building, sports, and what have you. There's a pool on site with a kiddie pool. Facility has more than enough conference rooms and the accommodation was adequate, spread over 4 storeys. There's lift access. A kid's playground is on site with a variety of supervised rides. The food portions were generous and well made. The staff were friendly and prompt to act on requests. The drinks menu is also extensive and well priced. No ice cream is served here though, milkshakes available though. There's large, secure parking all over the hotel.

Good place to take kids to play. Services very poor, food took so long to come, the waiter serving us left work without alerting us so we had to look for another waiter after some time. The food! we were served kuku bahati, the waiters recommendedation. That food is just mashakula, terrible recommendation! Didn't like it! The pool is not well secured a hazard to small kids.

I visited the place.. its on another level.. just drive in and see by yourself. Staff members they call each other nugu hahaha very interesting and very admirable.

Great swimming pool and large play area with swings and slides. Sometimes, they have bouncing castles, which the child can access at a charge-200kshs. Service has improved as they have more waiters now but order early to eat on time.

A cool place where one can go to refresh themselves. There's ample parking space, an awesome swimming pool, quality conference halls, rooms and awesome food. You need a get away, you gat it.

A hidden gem in Thika offering you a wide scenery,ambience and food. I loved the pool and plan to go back when the weather is favourable. If you are a photographer and filmmaker like me,this place offers the perfect background for your shoots and has man made falls/water fountain. Will definitely visit again

The place is beautiful and spacious, but the services do not match the standards of the hotel!! Do not dare host an event in Sunstar, and if you do, do it at your own peril!!! The executive marketing manager is HORRIBLE to say the least. Food is no longer well cooked, especially when it's being done for a group of people or an event. Yaaani!!! I think I can cook better to be honest. I rest my case

Sun star resort is a beautiful serene and secluded place that is wonderful for a family getaway. They have a pool beautiful gardens and amazing food They are also pet friendly.

They have a very big outdoor open grounds, swimming pool, nyama Choma place and gazebos. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The meals were sumptuous. They serve both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. It's ideal for holding private/ outdoor events as the grounds are segmented . They also have a children's play area. I however did not get inside to see the indoors.
