Nice shiva temple. Believed to be a old temple surrounded by greenery . Mountain fruits were available. Nearby falls is there but it’s too long distance to climb back so we avoided. Nice Dharshan .

They even sell the powder so that you can make it at home. The skills also sell a lot of local produce of fruits which can be enjoyed as well.

Arapaleeswarar temple, Kolli Malai, is a Siva temple in Kolli Hills in Namakkal District, Tamilnadu. 5km far from Kolli Town. The temple is open from 7.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. and 2.30 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. During the festival days, the temple is open from 6.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m. Lord Shiva is a swayambumurthi. A scar on the head of the Shivalinga is visible caused by a hit of a plough. The construction of the shrine is such that a devotee could enjoy the darshan of Lord Arappaleeswarar, Mother Thayammai, Lord Vinayaka and Lord Muruga standing from a single spot. You can enjoy the most beautiful 70 hair pin bend road while visiting this temple. Bus service also available till temple. The most beautiful Aghaya Ganga waterfall also near to this temple.

This beautiful Arapalli Eswarar / Arappaleeswarar temple is located in Arapalli, where the king ruled “Valvil Ori” and where sage Kalangi first performed penance for eighteen Siddhas. Scholars believe the temple was built/reconstructed during the Chola period...

This is one of the oldest temples in Tamil Nadu and a must visit spot in Kolli hills. Once you reach this place, you will find sitraruvi , just outside the temple, where you can take bath in a set up like pond. There’s also a falls inside which flows to aagaya gangai. Surrounding this temple is the entry point for aagaya gangai water falls. You will also find small shops selling natural spices, fruits and other eateries. The soup sold here is very good.

I had an unforgettable visit to the beautiful temple nestled in the serene landscapes of Kolli Malai. The architecture is mesmerizing, and the road to the temple is smooth. Ample parking space adds to the convenience. A must-visit for a tranquil and spiritually enriching experience. Can't wait to return!

This Sivan place is located in Kolli malai, in the upper side of the hills there s lady god, who is originated from this local place as a saviour of local people, she is named after this place. Her name is Kolli pavai, means Kolli girl. There is a falls also located, but this is only falls so far I know you have climb down 1000+ steps to see the same. You can bath if the water flow is good. Around this place you can get spices like pepper, clove, garlic etc at a very good price. Who ever comes over here, they purchase the same without failure

This place and Agasa water falls entrance are close to each other. This is lord shivà temple and not much crowded anytime during the day. It opens in the morning around 7 am and close by 1 pm and opens from 2.30 pm and close by 7 pm. One of the famous and ancient temple to visit in kolli hills. Not much options for lunch outside this temple. Only veg small hotels available, that too like veg meals, cauli flower or mushroom fried rice, but u can get other things like spices, soup powder, home made chocolates and other house hold useful things

Arapaleeswarar Temple is largely believed to have been constructed in the 1st or 2nd century AD by Valvil Ori during his rule, and it is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Located at Periakoviloor, it is in the vicinity of the splendid Akasa Gangai waterfall. Inscriptions dating back to the Chola period have been found at the temple according to experts in the field. Another important historical monument unearthed here is a megalithic burial site. A secret path to the Lord Shiva temple at Rasipuram is thought to exist at Arapaleeswarar Temple. The Shivalinga in the temple was found by a farmer, according to legend. While ploughing, the farmer accidently hit the Shivalinga, and the structure started to bleed. The temple is 17 kms from Solakkadu junction. This temple hosts main deity as Lord Shiva . The temple is quite old with some history attached to it. The temple is said to be built by King Valvil Ori. The temple timings are 7 AM to 1 PM and 2:30 PM to 7 PM. There are lot of eateries around the premises of the temple and all are pure vegetarian. Vegetarians, please ensure you have some food here, without which there are no pure veg restaurants in anywhere in Kollimalai. The place has lot of parking around the temple and shops to buy forest agro products like honey, pepper and lots of condiments Old Temple with Shiva and Parvathi as main deities , all Sidhars sculpture are affixed on the walls of Temple . Nice temple , it has a big bell which children try to pull and its fun for them . Lot of shops are available near the temple which sells local agriculture products . Aagaya Gangai falls and Mini Falls are adjacent to this temple . Government Buses wait here and board passengers . Those who cant go down to Aagaya gangai can try Mini falls which is situated behind the temple , its actually a stream and not falls.

Pure bliss. We were lucky to visit the temple on the day of Diwali. Surprisingly the temple was quite empty. Heard from a local that the temple is 1000 years old. Well maintained. The lingam darshanam is a pure bliss and peace. The kurukals were very polite and warm. There is a huge bell for the devotees to try. Oh man, the sound it generates is a lots of positive energy. The place the surrounded by mountains. Opp to the temple is Akash Ganga waterfalls and side ways is siru aruvi. Scenic beauty. We were so happy and blessed to darshan eswaran. Om namashivaya. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
