The ancient temple is now managed by TTD. Very cleanly maintained. Lord Venkateshwara is facing East and in Abhaya Hasta posture. Can have a good and peaceful darshan. A devine temple. Padmavati thayar and Andal have separate shrines. Please see the Darshan timings in an enclosed photo. No afternoon break. Only During closure for puja or naivedya, a little crowd is there. Otherwise, no crowd. Parking is available. 9 km from Taduku railway station (on the way from Puttur to Tirupathi road), 11 km from Tiruchanur Padmavati temple, 16 km from Tirupathi. Very limited bus service is available. Hence, going by car or arranging taxi is advisable.

ஆங்கிலத்தில் எழுதுவதற்கு மன்னிக்கவும். dt 7/3/23 We will come back to the Kashi trip review later. After having a wonderful darshan in Sri Parasurameswara temple -- Gudimallam, we drove back the same route and then took the left near papanayidu pet village so that we could join the highway near Gajulamandyam. Crossed the highway now to the right and drove down as per google map and reached the temple. The road from the highway to the temple was really fantastic. Good spacious parking space is available, but not sure it can handle the rush on special occassion days. A temple we have been planning / eager to visit for many many years, due to a unique feature. Temple very rarely known to many people in Tamil Nadu. Temple is under the control of TTDC. One can see sign boards in many places not to take photograph, hence we didn't pull out our mobile phone. As we were driving towards the temple, people travelling with me were asking me what is the unique or special feature of this temple and i was literally searching for the answer, because i read about it many many years back and i was struggling to get my memory back, but as we entered the que which was practically empty with no one, and when i saw the first glance of the lord, i was simply blown away , simply stunned, in total shock. I just turned around and told them that the unique feature in this temple is the way the Lord's right hand is. It is pointed upward and not downward as in other temples. Not only me, the people travelling with me also felt the shock and were stunned when they saw the lord in such a beautiful decoration, just standing so majestically. They were asking did you bring us to Tirupathi or what ? .. i just smiled and said no no we are not in Tirupathi. Temple is facing east, lord faces east, Thaayar in separate sannadhi facing east too. Rajagopuram present, kodimaram present, temple pond is present in the eastern side of the temple. Area wise the temple is quiet small, but maintained very very clean due to TTDC i think. Even at 3 p.m. they were giving prasadham for all the devotees who were coming to the temple. Wonderful and fantastic temple to visit, don't miss it in your life. Before i finish my small review a stanza from nammazhwar Tiruvaimozhi...

We used to visit thaayar Temple first then Prasanna Venkateshwara Temple then Balaji. Their is a say that theiruma Balaji posture will be getting and prasanna Venkateswara is giving posture. Very well maintained temple, free dharshan always, if you want archana, have to get tickets for that. Very peaceful and little crowded temple only during afternoon. Keep the temple clean as always, their prasaad is so good.

Sri Prasanna Venkateshree Swamy Temple is located at Appalayagunta which is 16 kilometers away from Tirupati. One of the unique features of this temple is the presence of Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy in his 'Abhaya Hasta Posture', which is considered to be the ultimate blessing posture. It is believed God grants any wishes of his devotees here. Sri Venkata Perumalaraju Brahmadeva Maharaj, King of Karvetinagaram, built the temple in 1232AD. It was constructed to house the shrine of Lord Anjaneya Swamy, located just in front of the temple. There are also idols of Goddess Padmavathi and Goddess Andal Devi in the temple along with the idol of Lord Krishna. It is a spacious temple with a parking facility on the grounds. The temple is very well maintained. Temple Timings: 5:45 AM to 8:00 PM

about 14 kms from Tirupathi in the village Appalayanagunta we visited the temple of Lord Sri Prasanna (Peaceful pr in happy mood) Venkateswaraswami where it is said that after wedding of Lord Sri Venkateswara with Padmavathi, Sri Siddeswara and other sages approached Him for His grace and they were blessed by the divine couple un this place. Hence it has a sacred and mythological importance. According to sthala Purana (history of the place) Rajas of Karvetinagar constructed this temple. It also consists of a shrine for Anjaneyaswamy ( also known as wind god to say that he is the son of Vayudeva) whom the devotees is worship for relief from chronic diseases. The idols of Goddess Padmavathi and Sri Andal here are beautiful and attractive. Normally the idol of Lord Venkateswara is seemingly holding the right hand down. But as an exception to this rule He is seen here in Abhaya Hastha pose. He has raised His right hand and blessing the devotees. The Lord is bathed (Abhishekam) once in a week on Fridays which is witnessed by large number of pilgrims with a desire to get their dreamed desires fulfilled. Because of this special Abhishekam devotees come here on Fridays to offer their special prayers. Here my sympathy goes with the Lord because His devotees take bath every day, whereas the Lord whom they worship is restricted to bathe once in a week. Neither the temple authorities nor the devotees seem to have worried about arranging for daily Abhishekam of their Lord, probably because their desired are not yet satisfied. Some desires may not be satisfied in this birth at all. One may pray for anything and everything limitlessly bit God will grant only that much as each individual deserves according to one’s karmas. Any way man made God cannot ask for any extra facility than what is provided to Him by His own devotees.

This place is around 20 kms from Tirupati. Here Srinivasa is with Abhayahasta and Dhyanamudra. The Moolavar is beautiful as well as enchanting. Temple is old and maintained well. Legend goes that Abhayahasta Srinivasa will fulfil l all our good wishes and provides protection.

Shri Prasanna Venkateshwara Swamy temple in Appalayagunta is about 16 kms from Tirupati towards Tiruttani. Special feature of the Lord Venkateshwara in the sanctum is the Abhaya mudra of the right hand. This 13th century temple is well maintained with spacious car parking. Seperate sannidhis for Shri Padmavathi and Shri Andal (Kothai Nachiyar). Shri Anjaneya Swamy in a small separate temple slightly away, in front of main temple.

Peaceful place, you will get same feel as TIRUMALA balaji. But you need a private taxi to visit this temple. I haven't found any bus service from tirupathi.

Peaceful temple to visit, no much crowd so you can pray peacefully. Need to take a private taxi or have to go by your own car. Very well and neatly maintained temple. Visited during the evening crowd is very less, tickets are available for archana at very less price.

Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Appalayagunta opens at 10 AM. It's situated in a serene and calm location, offering a peaceful darshan experience. The temple is neatly maintained, and there are very few visitors, creating a tranquil atmosphere. Conveniently located near Padmavati Ammavari Temple in Thiruchanoor.

Speciality of this Temple is Lord is in Abhaya Hasta posture. In Abhaya Hasta Mudra, the hand is shown with fingers pointing up. It looks like the God is asking if the devotee is doing okay.

Very well maintained temple by TTD. Here we can have the blessings of Balaji and Ammavaru similar to tirumala and Tiruchanoor. Very pleasant place and has all facilities. This is a crowd less and peaceful version on tirumala and Tiruchanur temples.

The specialty of this temple is that the Lord Venkateshwara is with the Abhaya mudra (right hand is in the abhaya mudra posture unlike all the idols) posture. Do visit the temple which is hardly 1hr drive from the Tirupati city. You can also make a detour while going to the airport. We took a private cab as it was summer and temperatures were touching 38°C. I didn't come across the State transport buses and auto-rickshaws... The temple is almost similar to the Srinivasa Mangapuram temple and the environment also resembles the same. Devotees offer the Tulasi maala's (garland) to the deity like at the Srinivasa Mangapuram. There aren't much options for the Lunch but you can get snacks and beverages right in front of the temple main gate.

Such a Quaint little temple in appalayaguta. The God has the same grandeur as the Tirumala temple without the rush. It is believed that doing 108 (12 per week for 9 weeks) pradhakshanams yields desired results during times of distress. So peaceful and serene. Lot of parking around the temple. Plenty of place to sit and meditate.

Very good and pleasant experience. This temple is famous for God granting our wishes come true. For that you have to do pradakshina on odd numbers like 9,11,21,27,55,101 etc. And the same you have to do after your wish comes true.
