I ate Tandoori chicken for Rs.130 then suffered from food poison due to their usual rotten/dead chicken where they used to prepare and finally 4 days admitted in hospital spent around Rs.10,000+ not at all recommending to take food in this restaurant....

Honestly, a restaurant which offers great food. Quantity is excellent as well. Ordered the porotta and beef fry which was excellent. Would definitely visit again.

Apparently in a mediocre town like Chengannur this is considered as the best hotel available locally. It ain't bad, but compared to shops in other similar towns it fares behind. PS: Ate mutton curry today, really heavy, you can share it with 3 people and still it'll be there on plate, costs ₹220. Shavarma is kinda better at Thrissur bakers, price being the same. 😅

Nice economic restaurant in Chengannur. Decently maintained, clean and hygienic. A variety of dishes is available (Chinese, Arabic & Indian). Food is tasty and rates are reasonable. Offers takeaway too. Good customer service. Usually busy around evening time.

It a well kept secret in the market and deserves a lot more of consumers who want real Kerela flavours in non vegetarian and vegetarian foods they eat. Though looks like a small hotel from outside it's a spacious place inside. I was surprised. The front view can be revamped. Interior too is not family friendly but bachelor's would like this place. Food was nice. I visited around 10.30 pm. Staff didn't have an idea of what they had left at that time. Should be a good cook. Price for any non veg dish was 230+ INR which is very unusual other than a posh restaurant around nh. It's steal. I ordered a fish curry which had one piece, though it tasted quite nice and pretty mid travancore style. Porotta was nice too. But no beef. I recommend this place to ppl who are trying out random low profile hotels. Pros: Next to NH Good food They even have soft drinks and had quite a wide range of that. This hotel is now located at the place where Hotel Anu used to be earlier, opposite KSRTC bus stand. The interior has been renovated and now it's clean. There is a separate AC/Family room also. We had Masala Dosa and plain dosa for dinner. It was good with plenty of sambar and chutney. Have to try other items. Updated Aug 14 They now have a separate Vegetarian section at the entrance of the building with frontage to MC Road.
