This hotel used to be my favorite in Trivandrum. Looks like they are no more part of the fortune group of hotels. Whoever has taken over doesn't seem to know the business or he/she isn't interested in this business. The service is pathetic. The majority of the team doesn't know the meaning if hospitality. They don't even have the basic discipline to ask an excuse while they cross us if we are on the way. The team in the restaurant doesn't have the courtesy to inform us that the requested food isn't available until we ask them the next time. The bar- they aren't maintaining proper stocks. The complimentary dishes given are better in local bars. On the whole, this beautiful awesome place is getting into a big mess. Probably they will soon ruin the quality of the rooms too. I wouldn't recommend this place any further

This isn’t a five star hotel as I would recognise it. Rooms are dated and in dire need of repair. Our room didn’t have a fridge (just the empty cabinet ). The room cupboards smelt a bit musty and some of the furnishings were stained. WiFi was patchy at best and it wasn’t possible to connect more than 2 devices in a room at a time ( even a family room with kids). Power backup did not apply to all rooms apparently. Restaurant was okay at best. The only thing that stops this hotel from being abysmal was the staff. They were extremely helpful, courteous and kind. They deserve to work in a better set up than this hotel.

With the rate you charge, the facilities provided by your hotel is marvelous. Rooms are cleanly maintained. Timely complementary break fast with lots of varities. Staff courtesy is excellent. More over the Bars are properly maintained and almost all varieties of liquors are available. The best thing what I really love is 24 hours check out instead of noon check out. Over all review is no doubt excellent

Amazing hotel. I liked the room at very first entry. Rooms are very spacious. Very mild and soothing interior and lights which doesn’t harm sight. Every nook and corners are well cleaned and mirror finish. And very importantly, they have installed manual AC controller. Restaurant which they have is also very good. A varieties of breakfast menu, taste of the food, presentation and hygiene was excellent.

Stayed for one night. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Food served at the restaurant was good. Service was excellent. Wouldn't classify this hotel as luxurious or upscale. It's more of a "value for money 3*accommodation" close to the city centre. -Statue, Palayam just a small walk away.

Excellent hotel at the heart of trivandrum. Easy to approach from airport. The staffs are very supportive and co-operative. The hotel has a very good pool and gym. Poornima madam was very supportive and provided good discounts for our stay as we had come on business trip. Breakfast is complementary and delicious with a wide variety to choose from. I recommend this hotel

Had gone to South Park's bar. Poor ambience, service was not upto the mark, no music, not so great food and very expensive. Hence, it is a place perfect for official discussion over drinks. I didn't get parking as I was only visiting the bar. South Park used to be one of the most famous hotels in Trivandrum once. However, you can find much better places at cheaper rates now in town for having a drink.

The hotel pub had outrageously expensive prices for food, water, beverages, and more, making it an incredibly poor value for money. Additionally, the pub was practically empty, lacking any vibrant atmosphere or sense of liveliness. Please don’t go to this place! Save your time.

Amazing food experience. A reasonable buffet. I liked the welcoming of the guests. The front office were very amicable and with good hospitality. I loved the ambience. The chef surprised us with a chef's special dish. That was a great gesture. Located at a prime place with good parking space.

This is an iconic hotel in the city. The hotel itself has a big heritage. They have some amazing restaurants and the service is really good. At some times they do host some events also which is very entertaining. Ample parking. Is there . A must try hotel inside Trivandrum

First of all, location wise best.The staff welcomed us and properly guided to the room. Every single request was attended immediately. The food was very delicious and have a wide spread. It is a well maintained property. They have DJ party every Saturday night which give very much relaxation to our busy life. I would recommend my friends when they plan to visit trivandrum. The rooms are excellent. South park is one of the oldest hotels in Trivandrum preferred by Celebrities and politicians. The food too is great. The room service used to be fine, but could be improved a lot more. The hotel is located in the middle of the city, and is easily accessible too.

I had a memorable stay at The Southpark Hotel. I stayed there for some official work and my goodness I got this peaceful place to work without any disturbance.. All staffs are very kind and polite. Especially reception staff are very attentive.. I will definitely refer this hotel to my family and friends too.

Stay was comfortable, you could feel the warmth and class everywhere. Complementary breakfast was impressive. Rooms were fine in terms of size and all, but is not sound proof. Also, bathroom we had had a sliding door, which awkwardly was having view inside.

Average Rooms. Floor tiles are old , dusty and need replacement. No minibar. Electric supply went off 4 times. Washroom is neat but No showergel filled in the hander and soap also not provided. Food is tasty but expensive for small portion. The Location is good.The staff was courteous, hard-working and prompt trying to address check in issue I faced due to their system issue. Overall cant imagine this as a 5 star hotel. If it is a 3 star, then acceptable.

Fantastic hotel with great location. Centrally located . Walkable distance to major shopping centre, railway station and bus stand. Very good food and service. Buffet breakfast with lot of local and continental dishes. Polite and pleasant staff . Security staffs are very courteous and helping.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT A FIVE-STAR HOTEL! Pros: The staff was courteous, hard-working and prompt...trying to address maintenance issues constantly. I felt sorry for them...the hotel doesn't match their work ethic (needs renovation desperately). The location is excellent. The linens and bathrooms are clean. The AC is very efficient. They give you plenty of drinking water in glass bottles which is nicer than plastic. Cons: This is an aging property...they desperately need to renovate it. I think the owners are just taking all the money out of it, and putting very little back. The hallway carpet is old and cruddy, woodwork is stained, elevator once had no lights in it!, room upholstery shows significant wear and tear, mini-bar was missing/non-functioning, keycards timed out every day and need re-validation, WiFi password changes/drops, safe failed twice in 4 night stay and I finally gave up. One room needed to be changed because of lack of safe and general dreariness. Oh, and the towel rack broke and dropped when one of us hung up a wet towel! It was a comedy of errors...like things broke or fell apart or didn't function every day of our 4-night stay! Decor is dated and depressing...not a single picture on the walls of the rooms. The included breakfast buffet is adequate but stodgy...not particularly great food.

Disappointing Stay at The South Park, Trivandrum!! While the word "luxury" is often associated with five-star hotels, my recent stay at The South Park in Trivandrum left me feeling anything but luxurious. From the underwhelming design to the lackluster service, several aspects of the hotel fell short of expectations. The hotel's interior design felt outdated and uninspired. The lobby, lacked space, warmth and personality. The rooms themselves were neither particularly decorated, refreshing nor inviting. The furniture felt outdated, old and generic, and the overall impression was of a hotel stuck in a time warp. The food at The South Park was a major disappointment. The breakfast buffet banquet was uninspired. The lunch menu was overpriced and the food itself was bland and unmemorable. The portions were small, chicken was badly smelled and the overall dining experience was far below the standard expected of a five-star hotel. Overall Disappointment: While The South Park is not a dreadful hotel, its mediocrity is what truly disappoints. For the price tag attached to a five-star experience, one expects an exceptional stay in every aspect. Unfortunately, The South Park fails to deliver on this promise of 5 star hotel, leaving guests with a sense of disappointment and a feeling that their money could have been better spent elsewhere.

Honestly, I think this is the worst hotel I've ever been to. I don't even know where to begin... So, it pretend to be a 5 stars hotel... But: 1/ they won't book a restaurant for you because they have their own (we wanted to go to a fancy restaurant for our honeymoon) 2/ the wifi barely works, up need to reboot it every 5 min and don't expect to video call 3/ they organize a party for new year's eve. Fine. Except it was a foam party with house music... In a 5 stars hotel full of families and romantic couples. The walls of the hotel were shaking with loud music until 3 am... Fly away, this is not at all a 5 stars hotel. Merely an hostel for teenagers

I went south park hotel to book a hall for my son 1st birthday. everything was done professionally Choice of food was prefect.great hospitality Mr.thomas help us very well to make the day prefect.his suggestion was good for the selection of food. Food was really tasty.(fish curry and chicken curry especially)

The rooms here are pretty decent. The lift sometimes makes dangerous noise, but it's part of the theme. We had breakfast, which was complimentary, and it was too good. We faced an issue with hot water, but we had managed with cold water as it was pretty humid when we visited. Their regular check in time is 10 am and check out time is 12pm which are both not very friendly. Their service was good and took good care of the customers. This is situated around 2kms from the Central Railway Station.

Probably one of the oldest hotels known to me and the first choice for most of the people to have a good and cozy stay. But I felt the service is not up to the mark compared to how it used to be and the rooms aren’t maintained to the expected standards. Has room for lot of improvement!

We stayed as a couple here for 3 nights. The location of the place is good. Ambience is well done. The rooms are clean and spacious. The welcome that we got at the reception was cold. Not very helpful either. The restaurant is decent and food quality is average. Not many items in the breakfast buffet but whatever they served was good. Room service was prompt. Wifi service is highly unstable and poor ,as a result I had to use my phone connection for my work. We had to leave on Saturday morning at 7 and asked if we will get any breakfast before that . The reply was a blatant No. Zero customer service and definitely not a 5 star from any angle. Definitely not recommended.

Hotel located in the heart of the city. Very spacious room. Very neat and clean. Facilities and comfort are really good. They maintained rest room very well. But the customer service was not satisfactory. They provide only with breakfast and it too costly. Better they can skip it. No outside food allowed inside the hotel. No spacious car parking available.

Fantastic service, beautiful decor, excellent views. Would happily stay here again! The only complaint was that our room smelled like someone had smoked cigarettes in it and we had booked a non-smoking room. The smell dissipated but that was the only complaint we had.

We had our wedding guest’s accommodation booked at The South Park, Trivandrum for a few days. The location is central and close to airport as well as the railway station. The rooms are very spacious for the price we pay. Some of the rooms are a bit old but they have renovated a few floors and all those rooms are great. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would like to specifically praise Poornima as she was the one running behind everyone and making sure our guests have a comfortable stay. She is very accommodating and had catered happily to all our requests. It was only because of her commitment we had booked this hotel and we are glad that we chose them.

On our way from Kanyakumari to Alleppy we spent a night at South Park Tavandram. A very pleasant experience. The reception staff made us feel welcome. The rooms were immaculate. The restaurant staff were very friendly and accommodating. A few days after we left, my Husband realized that he had left his Jacket behind. We contacted our agent and she arranged for the Jacket to be sent to Mumbai , our last stop. When we arrived in Mumbai a week later our Jacket was there. What amazing service from honest staff. We hosted our wedding guests and also ourselves at South Park earlier this month. The stay was comfortable. Some of the rooms are old and needed maintenance, but many already went under renovation and felt okay. Especially we should thank Poornima who made sure that we and our guests got the best rooms at the hotel. The hotel is very centrally located, the food is great, but please be aware that Fridays can be a bit noisy due to parties hosted by the hotel at their terrace, where even outsiders are allowed. In short, we definitely had a pleasant stay and again, a big thank you to Poornima who worked hard to accommodate our requests. We would definitely come back to the hotel.

Large rooms not so well maintained. Comfortable bed. Reading lights above the bed are totally dangerous enough to break your head. washrooms are old but neat. Staffs are OK. Food is OK.

The entrance area might look nice and well maintained but unfortunately the rooms are the total opposite of it. They are full of fungous and so dark and the furnitures are old and dirty. The staff is also not at all helpful. If you face any problems, they won't even try to help you, but ignore you, such a miserable service. The rooms and guests are also so loud, so that it was impossible to sleep there. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a nice and quiet stay in Trivandrum.

The rooms are very old and the chairs are ugly and bugs cannot sit. Washrooms have no air circulation and still they are keeping five flags in the gate. Until early morning noise and the band sounds unable to sleep with piece of mind. The continental breakfast is a big joke. Only staffs are cooperative within their limitations.

The rooms are spacious & clean and the breakfast buffet is great. However, there was some construction activity in the room above and it was a real disturbance for us and the baby. Also, the AC did not work in the night leading to a sleepless night.
