I order in more than I dine in at Kafeehaus, their bacon and cheese sandwich is really good. I do often have to remind them to please add more cheese time to time ;) when we do dine-in I would recommend trying the cordon bleu Schnitzel if you are in the mood for some ham and cheese along with the standard schnitzel. The ambience once upon a time was super unique and gave the Swiss vibe strongly with wallpaper and the utensils. But no effort has been taken since to make the place look better or upbeat. This restaurant is super tucked away and is not a place someone would stumble upon randomly. There are no dedicated parking spots per se, one must park on the main road and hope that you wouldn’t contribute towards a traffic block. For this place to do really well, they need super charged staff which is not the case currently, they need to really up their coffee game, the cappuccinos are terrible, over roasted coffee with milk, no real thick foam or latte art. I am glad I stick to espressos and do not pave way to get disappointed. I hope this place really picks up again. I have also ordered their loaded fries, now I don’t the proportion is really off when you order this as a takeout. The pizza’s follow authentic naming - one would then assume it’s super Italian by the description but to dismay only uses their available ingredients and is typical to any local pizza you would buy in Trivandrum, no effort spent on researching the Italian way of making dough, sourcing the best ingredients like fresh mozzarella, burrata, Parmigiano, basil, cherry tomatoes, and excellent olive oil. It’s sad when people venture out thinking they are going to do something great but end up giving just ordinary food. Running an authentic restaurant is tough, if you are going to compromise down the line, don’t begin it in the first place. Hope Kafeehaus will have a new story to tell - one that’s going to put them on the map again.

Edited to Reply to the owner’s comments: They are just making excuses for their incompetence. We only ate what was served because we were starving, they already took a long time to serve the food and we don’t like to waste food. If customers have to make changes to each dish served they might as well make it at home. And them saying ‘however we served you something else’ is not an excuse. They could’ve just said they don’t have what we ordered. That was the last straw and we had to send that back. And they didn’t bill it because we told them not to. ______________ Probably one of the worst cafe experiences I’ve had. Considering they claim to be ‘Swiss’ you’d think the cold chocolate would at least taste like chocolate and not like milk with a hint of chocolate. The cordon bleu schnitzel didn’t have ham in it(they forgot), they also did not serve the sides mentioned on the menu. The least they can do is serve what they’ve described. The chicken with lemon sauce was way too lemony. Not worth it at all for the price they’re charging. Service was also very poor. Definitely need to improve the quality of their dishes and their service.

Great food and great service. They have section Kafeehaus specials in their menu. Tried couple of things from it and they were really good. Also tried their sandwich which was average, not that great. But their specials and hot chocolate was really good. The person who took the order was polite and friendly and explained to us about the their specials. The only things they could improve a little bit is the waiting time. It was bit on the higher side. Rest everything is perfect.

Small cafe in the heart of the city mostly banking on Swiss influences. Parking might be a hassle. Interiors are simple and hygienic. Rösti and it's variants are on point. Sandwiches are wholesome and filling. Breakfast platter options are another go-to on their menu. Coffee is good. Would've liked a better, smoother hot chocolate however. Staff were prompt.

We decided to have a quiet brunch this Easter and were not disappointed here at all. The bread was fresh and the sausages surprisingly tasty. Bacon and mushrooms on the side were good but the quantity served was too little. The ambience was informal and homely. The overall experience was good. We had french toast and their house special breakfast.

Tried hot chocolate and white sauce chicken pasta. Both my orders were disappointing in taste. Hot chocolate was hot but it coloured like cold coffee with very less chocolate flavour in it. It wasn't creamy and thick. Pasta also tasted chilly flakes and jeeraka, and the raw taste of pasta could still be tasted while chewing. Ambience is good. Parking space is less inside the compound but road side could be used depending on the traffic.

Nice ambience. Good food but for me, it really wasn't a wow yet when compared to other restaurants with the same price range. Tad pricey. Sandwich was different. They had a huge bread but it could be more exciting. The potato chips was just not the right add to the sandwich. Felt it wasn't matching. Parking is an issue on MP appan road but worth a visit once. I am yet to try the desserts. Was expecting the real chocolate instead of powder for the chocolate milk.

Food is excellent both in terms of taste and quality of ingredients. Not your typical steak/sizzler place with a good range of speciality items in the menu. Small but neat place. A tad expensive though.

It's one of my go to places in Thiruvananthapuram to eat if I have some money to spare. The Quail egg salad is one if my favorites. The coffee is always good and the chocolate is tasty if a little less in quantity.

Food is good not extra ordinary... But the way the guy deals (server) is not at all good... Has no clue about the menu...We ordered Pizza after half an hour later he said the flour is not good or so... We went to visit the place because of the ratings given by 1.5k people...we thought was excellent..but was not good for a 1.5k rating for sure....

i’ve ordered from this restaurant several times before and it used to be good. i used to be a big fan of their lasagna until today. they served me a dish with cheese and tons of onions with few to no meat. it feels like they’re deceiving their customers with their subpar dishes. truly disappointed.

Cozy eat out. A very relaxed and intimate dining experience. Masks are mandatory, temperature checks too. No contact delivery. A variety of drinks and beverages. Good for quick bites as well as main courses. Also offer takeaway services. Not very expensive, the cost is worth it. Recommemted.

I visited this place after two years and having given them a 5star rating then. But today I had to unfortunately edit that review and give one star (I would have given them no stars but google wouldnt allow me to do so) Ordered three dishes- a simple penne pasta, grilled chicken pasta and a pasta salad The salad was horrendous, veggies did not feel fresh, dressing was overdone and an extreme after taste of pepper Pasta was extremely bland with zero flavour Sandwich was the next disappointment where I felt it was soo badly done with just some cooked chicken, tomatoes and cucmber that any local bakery would do it better Everything was fine, but charging Such a premium price for dirty cutlery, dusty tables and rude staff is nothing but day light robbery It's appalling to see a good spot with a great legacy is going down the drain

I should have listened to the reviews, but I really wanted panna cotta and it's hard to find. I ONLY came here for panna cotta; they weren't even serving it or any other desserts. The service was bad. The waiter never checked us, we always had to call him or go look for him and there was no one even at the door when we came. The ambience inside is so bad and couldn't feel the AC. My bacon sandwich had hardly any bacon (see photo). The only thing good was the taste of the spaghetti but the portions are very small. The menus were also covered in grime.

Recently had lunch here, a beautiful place in the heart of the city. Quite and pleasant ambience with tasty lunch. My friend suggested they have other good meal options too. Will definitely try it again!

Had Pasta Chicken Marinara from Kaffehaus. Food was really good. But had to wait for a long time to get the food.
