They have many branches but Vazhuthacaud Azad is awesome I must say that .Tasty food.It's famous for its tasty biriyani both chicken & mutton biriyani, quantity & its quality wise☺️.Shakes and Falooda are available my favourites..Chai Chai known for its evening snacks.There's a special parcel counter available,good service and well mannered too, which makes it easier to buy ,but parking over here ,it's very difficult esp peak time no way !!Recently had a take away from the restaurant,osm food and packaging was just superb.The Vazhuthacaud Azad restaurant is renovated too,will try that soon .Now Azad has its own APP "MyAzad" home delivery service ,where we can order whatever you need- which includes from its restaurant, bread factory,chai chai ,I did try it ,happy with its service 👍.

Azad is a core part of a Trivandrumian's memory and culture. Azad star with their unique menu doesn't disappoint. Their thali meals is sumptuous and wholesome. They have the right thing for every course for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. I love their lemon and coriander soup, something I repetitively order via their online app. Friendly and welcoming staff and great ambience makes you go there again..

I will be writing in detail about my experience in the restuarant. So, at the end of it, you'll come to know why I rated 2 star. Azad restaurant is famous across the district for its taste and tradition. The restaurant was started in 1940. Inside, they have parcel service, a/c and non-a/c sections I have ordered a chicken biryani and honestly it was so tasty. This must be one of the tastiest CBs available in the city. I'm sure most of their makings would be very nice. Employees are very good, cooperative and generous. I liked their 'menu-card'. It was simple and handy. When it comes to the overall service, this is where the mood changes. In my opinion, the restuarant is too expensive as compared to the service it provide. All the items are extra monied. Yeah, I understand the taste and tradition. But, this is too much! And the amenities they provide for this money is nothing. I chose non a/c section, and I didn't had enough space to sit and have food in peace. Rush and associated conjestion, running staffs, lack of adequate space, untidy wash-basins are all took a star from me. They are literally charging for just the food and not the overall service! Biriyani I had charged Rs. 210 (non a/c). And apart from all that, i got additional 10 rs as GST. WHAT THE HELL! Here in this year, they are still charging GST for having food. It took the second star from me. I won't recommend this restaurant even if they provide tasty food. A good restuarant should also cultivate good manners

One of the oldest and best restaurants, still keeping it up, in Trivandrum for classic chicken and mutton biriyani and a whole lot of other scrumptious dishes. MUST VISIT PLACE! If you are a localite, you already know how good the place is. If you're a tourist or traveller or in the remote chance you haven't eaten here yet, then this is one of the best restaurants in town beyond any doubts for great Non Veg food. Radically transformed their interiors and ambience to match the trending audience but however the age old tradition and taste remains to be the same.

Azad hotel is our childhood go to place On our vacation from Dubai yesterday I took my family to Azad hotel However was left disappointed as the person who took the order said whatever we ordered was not available Finally we ended up ordering parotta mutton chaps chicken biryani Everything was served cold, Moreover the service was not upto the mark. The server was indeed in a hurry to leave and we both left at the same time. Taking into consideration the legacy of Azad hotel the management needs to look into recruiting more efficient staff and providing warm food to continue the legacy of Azad hotel.

Food was not that much tasty as its less flavoured (good for health😃). Compared to other restaurants, Quantity of the food is very low. Restuarant is neat and clean. Service also good. Vehicle parking facility is available but maximum 5 to 6 car.

A true culinary delight with excellent service and good food, with decent seating capacity and limited parking, (need to wait for 10 to 20 mins during weekends) azad is a part of trivians memory and famous for mutton dishes. As a regular customer i had Tried almost every dishes from their menu not every dish gives you the perfect vibe. Mutton soup and honey glazed chicken was exceptional. Cleanliness and behaviours of staffs are excellent. Will visit again and try out more dishes.

Had chicken biryani for lunch. Good ambience with average parking space. However the taste of biriyani looks the same from the Chennai street biriyani... The flavour of biriyani is missing. But the portion size is big enough with two big pieces of chicken. I think they add at least 2 tomatoes for 1 biriyani. Have an egg and a big chunk of pineapple. Never expect the feeling of biriyani.

Recently I have bought wheat paratha..but they give me the old one, spread with dirty oil... My stomach starting to bla bla.... I used to buy wheat parathas...it's first time from them.... Really disappointed 😢😥😥

Tried Veg Noodles, Mutton Curry, Parotta, Roti, Paneet Butter Masala and Mixed Fried Rice. All were very good. Recommended for families. Seating arrangements were very good. Parking space is there for four wheelers just infront of the restaurant. Good TAT is maintained by them after receiving the order.

Of the 2 Azads at Vazuthakaud near the Women's College the smaller one closer to the junction serve food that has the old Azad taste.

Their dine in and take away at Vazhuthacaud are really good. We order Parotta and Chicken, Mutton and Beef from them most of the time. Their take away centre at Vazhuthacaud has payasam also. The only problem with the Vazhuthacaud take away is the lack of parking space. Parking is there for the dine in restaurant at Vazhuthacaud. Good place to go for a lunch and take away. Affordable too.

Their chicken fry is one of the best in the city. Try going before peak hours to get the most out of their menu as the items get over during peak hours. Tried their passion fruit lemonade, pineapple juice, nemeen noodle soup, palak paneer and Ceylon Paratha. The taste was okay but not great except the chicken and soup.

Not every dish gives you the same vibe. Naan, kulcha and custard caramel were fine but nasi goreng went bad!! Peri peri chicken was beyond expectations . Gobi Manchurian , Mixed fried rice was nice while their lime tea again went down. Quantity was low compared to normal serve. Bit overpriced but maintains a quality ( nasi goreng not included)

Amazing and simple ambience. Love the filter coffee. I have tried Kerala parota mutton fry and chicken roast. Taste was amazing. The chef there has 30 to 35 years of experience with the same restaurant. It is a must place to visit in Trivandrum. You get authentic Kerala food.

The seats were almost full when we visited. We had chicken biriyani which was really good. The way the rice cooked was really good. Chicken pieces were of small size and tasted bland. The Pappads they served us was also of top quality. The service were not up to the other standards. Hope it happened due to the rush. Food is expensive just like other hotels in the area.

Food is also nice. Tried appam and mutton korma. Mutton korma was very good but appam didn't come as like in their over bridge branch perfection.

Azad Restaurant has been one of my favourite place for the best Parathas and Garlic chicken. The chicken dish is usually a bit sweet, but a great kick of garlic. The Parathas are so crspu on the outside and fluffy on the inside, prepared in Kerala style. One flaw of the outlet is the courtesy of the waiters. They could be a bit rude at times and forget the common mannerisms towards customers. They even have a small snack outlet facing the road.
