I had meals and each one of the dishes were sumptuous. Though it might seem to be expensive compared to other hotels and home kitchen. The food is worth every penny and even more than what we pay. The fish fry and beef roast was my favourites. Second visit was same to same enchanting food and exemplary service

Negative review - We went there for chatti chor and they served Chatti chor in a normal plate with many items missing. We had to wait really long time to get the dishes on table. If anything needed, had to ask all the waiters there and after a long time if you are lucky, someone will serve you. Bamboo biriyani is like biriyani served in bamboo other than plate nothing special in there. Taste is just okay okay.

We ordered non-veg meals for three persons and one biriyani as take away today. Rs140 per 1 person for that unsavoury meal. Bad experience for us. Totally a bland taste for all curries except pickle. Some items are missing in one parcel too. To the management, please be responsible for the amount you have received from customers and give some priority for quality of the food too. Thankyou.

Yesterday (25-12-2022) We seven friends visited there and we ordered Beef roast, porotta, Dosha.. etc. Firstly the food was awesome. There service was very friendly. The atmosphere and the interior also good.

Came here to write a review about bad service and saw that this place is filled with bad reviews about service some of which are a year old so it seems the management is not taking notice or doi g it's part to improve. I visited this place for lunch and I was seated very close to the entrance. The amount of time I had to wait for a meals to served was unreal. Then I ordered a fish fry to the person who was serving rice. He said OK and left and he was no where to be found so I got hold of another person and inquired about the fry ordered. He again asked me which fry and left hastily. So I stopped eating lunch and started my wait for my fish fry after another 10 minutes the first guy returned from somewhere and I asked him for the fry for which he had no clue. So in all there is no coordination or a supervisor to check patrons needs and serve on time. The food served was good hence 3 stars but the entire dining experience was pathetic.

Went to have biryani..which was fine..but the way the staff managed was pathetic. They kept one of my friend waiting and had to have a meal without any curry. The person who are serving should learn from other hotels that have much more crowd than theirs. Serve ur customers properly otherwise just do what you can do .

The worst food which i had ever tasted in my life and the service was very cheap... Price of food is very costly and quality of food is very very cheap..# Not Recommended😡

I had vegetarian meals from this place. Food tasted fine. It could have been a better experience if they can include Moru curry too with Sambar. Staff were friendly. The parking area is very limited. Security chettan is very active with a smiling face.

Negative review They charge 180 for chicken curry which is not worth it, would've Parotta was 15 rs which was small size on top of that they add GST and the total amount becomes ₹289+ for 1 chicken curry and 5 parotta Taste was average Quantity was very low

The food is good, the tables could have been better managed. The rooftop arrangements could come with unexpected heat in the noon time. Though it's almost an open ventilation. The people who manage the hotel is customer friendly. They will take enough time to check with you about your experience. I consider that a very good gesture even if it's a marketing process they do. Not everyone hear you for what you wanna say. Apart from the above mentioned table issue the serving and everything is neat and clean. Wah area needs a bit more of an improvement. Hope to get it better anytime soon.

I faced very bad experience from here .I waited almost 1 hr for meals,and they provided rice without Currys,after 15 mts they gave only 3 Currys and charged 120 rs..total waste of money😡

We ordered chicken curry from here. They charged 170 rs for a plate of chicken curry. We bought it as parcel. Such a nightmare . It was full of oil. I have uploaded the picture. We couldn't complete the curry since it was too heavy and oily. Omg !! I think they charged 170 rs for the oil contained in it. Worst experience.. taste also very average.. I don't know how they chareg 170 for a curry coz the restaurant is not 5 star or doesnt have any good ambience to give 170 for a curry !!

Bad Experience 😡 we ordered biriyani and non veg meal. This is the first time I have eaten chicken biryani like this🤮 (taste of pineapple essence only) non veg meal condition also pathetic. The attitude of waiters was very bad😞. They are not ready to serve their customers properly.And the cost is very expensive I'm very much sad to give even a single star. we lost today's happiness becz of this Poomaram.. Finally reached near cashier .... I think he is the owner of this shop nd asked how was the lunch.. feeling pavam to him. How much money is spending for this business and paying a big amount to that idiots in kitchen and hotel... Anyway sorry chetta to say that.... It's a thepp.... Katta thepp.🤯

Very bad food. Today 25/12/2023 i ordered chicken biriyani. In my life I haven't eaten this type of waste biriyani in my life.😡🤮. And this biriyani is 189 ₹ ✨

I don't know why others given 3 or 4 stars. But my experience to frank, this hotel doesn't deserve even 1 star. Had most pathetic lunch ever in my Life. Literally not even a single item in the meals felt good. The "mathi fry" felt like previous day's preparation right from its look has charged Rs. 100/- which could be a record price n this case. It wasn't worth try a taste. Overall, this hotel spoiled our lunch expectations and our day itself who came from Alleppey to enjoy a one day trip in Tvm.

One of the best hotels I would suggest to drop for having traditional keralite lunch. They also have mouthwatering 4 to 5 fish items. Both fish fry and fish curry items are super tasty. They also have variety of biriyanis. Bamboo biriyani is one of the highlighted item here. Almost I love all the dishes because of the way they are prepared. Cash and card payments are available. They don't have dedicated parking facility but ample parking available in front of the restaurant and along the service road. The staff are friendly and courteous. Overall we will get a good eating experience with a good ambience.

Food shokkam aanu...only hotel apperance was good.. Tried puttu,fishfry,chicken roast...horrible...

The food is a bit expensive as per my opinion. I had 3 porottas and a beef roast which amouted to 257. The beef roast quantity was a bit less. However the taste was pretty good. They provide good customer service and there are a lot of seats available to sit. The restaurant is maintained neat and tidy as well.

Poomaram is extremely crowded and it is hard to grab a seat when all the waitrons are running their feet off. But the food is great. They serve the local meal with immense panache. A tiny stair in the restaurant leads to the first floor. The stair opens up into the large dining hall on the first floor which is a turmoil of attendants and customers swarming the floor. Obviously, it’s the delicious food that pulls in the swarm.

Liked the place, as a tourist its not a fine dining restaurant, its is basic kerala style (100%) restaurant. Food quality is good and the good service. Remember thwy serve only red rice 😊

Went there after 3 pm for having biriyani, they said the biriyani is finished, since i had no option i opted for meals, i got meals with 1 thoran 1 pickle sambar and pulisseri and they billed it for 140 rs, will never go again🙏🙏

Very crowded as it is opposite to lulu.. i visited there during lunch hours..due to crowd extra food availability is not assured as workers will be buisy serving..kerala oonu at 120 was not worth...no nonveg,no pickle items,no pulissery, no parippu instead they serve payarcurry,sambaar was very watery... In the case of biriyanu 180 rs..it was tasty but quantity is very low and extra rice availabilty is not assured.. if u have time try to reach city ...if u need food only to reduce hunger.poomaram is good..

Congested space and stairs. Food below average. Ordered meals with prawn fry and chicken biryani. Around 2 pm food was served cold. Prawns fry was cold and not at all tasty. Prawns are always not properly cleaned in this restaurant ( have read similar experience from other review) . Chicken biryani too much spicy and gravy filled. 2/5

Excellent authentic Kerala food. Meals, Prawns, kadal chor are popular. Good homely taste. If I were to rate lunch service & dinner service separately, lunch time service is good. Dinner time, mostly the customers are ignored at the table & have to wait for at least 20min to get the attention. Overall a must visit for lunch. Gpay, card accepted.

The food didn't meet our expectation at all. The fish items and beef roast were all spicy. Prawns didn't have any taste and was not even cleaned properly. The only good thing is owner was ready to hear us out. Hope they will be better if we ever go back.

Food was pretty good. Meals were fine with affordable rates. They don't run out off food even at odd hours. It can be maintained a bit more clean.

Last day i had dinner at Poomaram restaurant with my family. Chappathi, Chicken roast and Gobi Manchurian were the dishes we had. Really enjoyed the traditional taste of Kerala. Service also was so good. Thank you

One of the worst food quality I've experienced. Some of the negative reviews here pretty much clears up the same. Pathetic and rude service for dinner, to top it up uncooked food and fancy bill for the pathetic food items, left the place in 5 min after receiving the food. It's a rip-off serving obnoxious food. I'll stay away and would never recommend to anyone looking to try ethnic dishes, honestly it's a disastrous place. To the owner/management: Just a kind piece of advice, employ the right people for the job you are hiring for, train them and then leave the place with the staff to run , if not your business won't be successful on a longer run with these kind of poor staff and terrible food quality.

Poomaram was a nice restaurant earlier, but now it is bad, not able to enjoy food with family, totally conjested inside, not a tasty food. I had a chatti choru it is very bad and there was stone in rice, there is only 3 curry and I asked them to get pappadam. They served me un-tasty food and i paid a high bill. I am giving 2 star because of good experience and good food earlier other wise only 1 star.

The best restaurant in town where you get all the sea food varities and other non veg at the reasonable rates. The quality and taste of food is unbeatable. Highly recommended for tvm folks.😊

Been to restaurant twice. The food is really good and service is best. It would have been better to aircondition upstairs as it's difficult during lunchtime.
