Edaneram brings the time-honored dishes of Kerala to the table, but is hardly tempting for a second visit. They have certain signature dishes such as chattichoru (rice with buttermilk, veggies, beef dry fry, anchovies and pappadam) for Rs 210- bluntly overpriced. The presentation is fancily done in an earthen pot, but fails in taste. Their regular vegetarian meal is also not worth the price for a very ordinary palate. The β€˜mother’s veg plaza’ and 'Athithi Devo', just a few yards away, serves enjoyable sadya for a budget price. Edaneram does not stand a competition to those. The menu is beautifully arranged, listing all the traditional dishes, but what is the point if the food is not impressive. The dΓ©cor of the place is the sole impressiveness in the restaurant. The wooden, brick and thatch surfaces add to the countryside mood. Posters of classic scenes from the immortal Malayalam movies is appealing. Some traditional sweets have been adorably set in jars on a podium. The diner can seat just about 20 people. The menu is not overly elaborate. They have enough waitrons to attend to the customers. They have brought a great idea of serving the cherished age-old food. Now all they need to do is serve good food worth the price, but they have failed.

Nice ambience. Tasty food. The achayan's sadhya wasn't available when I went there so I tried the Chattichoru it was tasty and layered with anchovies, beef curry, fish curry gravy, omelet, curd rice all in a nice clay pot.

Comfortable and cozy place which is reliable in the sense that whatever dishes they offer, it tastes above average. I once had they appam (later came to know that it was kallappam) which was the best I had in a long time. I got to taste the best and freshest prawn fry although they give in very meager quantity (for 200 inr) πŸ˜‘πŸ˜‘ as shown in the picture. Overall, these guys know how to cook delicious food. Kudos and keep up the great work but serve more generously.

Pretty decent experiance. Delicious dishes. My favourite was ofcourse the pazhankanji (Non-veg costed Rs.80), the side dishes was pretty amazing. No parking slot. Washroom and Toilet was kept clean. Overall ambience was cool. I really did like here. Price was reasonable I guess.

One of the best restaurants in town. This place will attract you in every possible way. You will become a regular customer after one trip. Staff: Very friendly and polite staff. There is a saying that the taste of food is in the hand of the person who serve it. It is evident that a smile while serving can enhance the taste of food. The staff here know it perfectly. His attitude was so nice. It made us feel right at home. Very helpful. Food: Very delicious. Excellent. Treat to the tongue and heart. Each and every item were delicious. They offer different special dishes at different days of week. So the experience will be different and I'm sure everyone would enjoy it. A lot of finger licking dishes waiting to be experienced. There are only a very few restaurants in town who can match the taste. Sumptuous meal. Ambiance: Warm and pleasant. Neatly arranged, well maintained and tactfully decorated. You naturally feel hungry by the look of the place. And they provide a collection of books for you to read. There is a slight radio music. Very pleasant ambiance. Price: Slight more than average hotels in town. But for the taste food, the ambiance they have arranged and the way they serve the food, the price is very fair. And it is affordable. Parking area is limited. There is usually a bit of rush. Because good food is a very attractive factor. Don't let these stop you, this place is worth the wait. Very impressed about everything of this restaurant. I will visit again, and sure will recommend to others.

One of the best pothichoru which I had in Trivandrum. Taste of all side dishes are very good and pothichoru contains egg omlet, chammanthi, thoran, achar, one side curry and rice packed in banana leaf. One thing I loved about them is they didn't add sambar with that pothichoru + beef fry combo. They added beef curry and that I liked much. Only one drawback is there is no pappadam and moru/rasam with that. Other than that a wonderful lunch with them.

Good place for mid-day and evening snacks. The assortment is good; staff amiable. We had "Kozhi Pidi" in picture, which was exquisite! Recommended. It is open till 11 PM. Ambience is good too, though we didn't spend much time there. It is placed on a one way, do parking may be an issue. Be mindful of you are taking your car with you.

A restaurant with a good ambience. Found the dosas a bit dry. The beef was on the spicier side. A good place to chill out with friends. The yellow lighting with the general set up gives it an authentic look in a modern setting.

The ambience is really nice and interiors are rendered in a very contemporary decor. The food is available in a range of prices with some interesting dishes like powdered rice cakes (puttu) stuffed with chicken or beef.

Excellent lounge. I would say much better than the Delhi and Bangalore international lounge. Lots of food options. They keep re-filling food. The staff are really nice and helpful.. A big thumbs up.

Pricey AF. The chattichor was above average, but β‚Ή242 is pure daylight robbery

Had Appam & Chicken stew today. Appam was good and stew was not upto the mark. It was sweet (contrary to what we expected) and did not have the characteristic pepper flavour of stew (literally no spices added). Also too much time waited to get the dish served.
