This place is more of a place for nostalgia for me , I have been visiting this establishment when I was 3/4 years old and even now I remember going to this place to buy parotta and peas curry . Even after all these years the place remains the same , the food, even the menu remains the same .. the hotel definitely have its merit and demerits . But it is without doubt one of the most affordable take away center in Trivandrum

What to say...pure and simple bad food.how to run a hotel when no one in the crew has any interest inthe job...example of it can be seen here.uncooked chicken served and nobody bothers if there is a complaint. It's good once in a while to see so little professionalism..well I stand corrected to expect more.

Surya fast food offers decent quality food stuffs round the clock, starting from scrumptious breakfasts to smoky dinner & late night foods. The hotel serves the main course of breakfast items like: Dosa, Idly, Appam, Idiyappam with Veg stew, Green peas etc. Lunch hours witness huge rush on working days especially for its savory Biriyani & meals with its classic fish items. Chicken/ Beef/ egg biriyani have decent quantity & quality for its price (pricing is well economical too). Night time servings are well popular. Every Keralite would seek the perfect combination of Porotta with a smoky Chicken deep fry, which is not just delicious, but marks the signature of the hotel too. Night time servings: Porotta, Chappathi, Dosa, Appam with the popular Chicken fry (medium price range), Tomato, Green peas, Egg curry, Mutton chops/ curry are inevitable combos. Good place for a morning hot tea and some quick bites.Hot puttu and payar,idli sambar,idiyappam sambar before 6 am.During early morning this is the only place in Trivandrum except railway canteen to have some hot ,fresh tea and breakfast.Why I am not giving full marks? They are not supplying all items I like -papad, rasavada etc during morning time.But still you can expect a piping hot tea,coffee and my favorite cattan.Visit if you are an early morning bird traveling through this way

Old taste is not there. Restaurant is not hygienic. Different kinds of insects flying here and there. Service is also bad. No parking. They don't accept cards or online payment.

Surya hotel is famed for its biriyani I would say. It's really cost effective and the food here is also good. The service here is also a factor which will take us back to this place again and again. Parking facility might be a factor in case or three of four wheelers....

Excellent food experience. You will get non vegetarian food over here. This is the one of the best food destination in Trivandrum.

Good food. No compromise in taste, quantity or quality. 👌🏻 Downside is the long wait for pre-order also. Multiple times I had to wait till 1pm to get large orders ready.

We had dinner from here. Ordered chili chicken, Pothu roast, and chicken fried rice from here. The chilly chicken and chicken fried rice were good. The pothu roast barely had any pieces. It is really crowded during evening hours and the service is not the greatest. They accept Gpay and cash.

Average food. Cold chicken fry... not so tasty.. porotta is also not so good.. kottuporota gud

worst food.. biriyani was dry no taste..iam shocked once a great hotel now serves this low level standard foods 😭.. Please improve your food quality. Old surya is a good place. Now it's nowhere near that.. worst experience
