THE RESTAURANT OWNER'S SON IS AN UNKIND FELLOW. As somebody who studied an lived in TVM, compared to other food places, the memory of this place remains painful always. We (group of students from College of Agriculture, Vellayani) always used to dine at Rahath, Manacaud. It was very familiar and the go to place for us for good fast food. There is a mosque nearby, on fasting season too I used to eat from here. Sometime between 2012-2014, one particular day I was supposed to catch bus back to COA Vellayani from EastFort and I was FAMISHED and EXHAUSTED. Rahath being closed by.and familiar I walked to the place to eat something. I realised I had exactly 36Rs to spare that time. An appam costs Rs 6 and I won't be able to order any curries so I thought I will make do with the their free gravy that comes with the breads. Three appams in and still hungry I ordered two more. But the gravy was over. I requested the waiter for little for gravy for the two appams but he didn't seem to nudge. Then I noticed the owners adult son who was at the cash counter that day signalling the waiter not to give me anymore gravy and he passed a comment looking at me with contempt "Ivide gravy kachodam illa". Already tired and hungry, now humiliated and embarrassed I got up and washed my hands leaving those two freshly ordered appams. What surprised me was that this same guy used to take our orders and serve us when we used to go regularly for dinners there as a group. That day is etched in my mind and I am reminded of it whenever I see people/news of people starving. Maybe that guy did not know any better not to pass that harsh comment publically at a customer who was only ordering what he could afford unfortunately coz he had only less money in his pockets that day. I always wanted to come there and tell this experience to the shop owner directly but never got the chance since I had moved to Bangalore. After that me and some of my friends stopped going there. I am not sure the management is the same or not today. Some basic decency and kindness goes a long way even in the restaurant business. Or atleast not being an a*****e to customers.

The food here is very tasty and fresh. Visited the place with family. various cuisine available like Malabar, North Indian, Tandoori, Arabic, Chinese and Thai. Except for Thai we tried all the cuisine. Every dish was one better than the other. This is a very good place if you are staying in one of the many resorts in Kovalam and you feel like having a drive out and tasting the local food. The staff were very courteous. The rates were very reasonable. Overall very tasty food and value for money.

Once upon a time, Raahat was famous & if you visit with the old stand, you will regret for sure. No taste at all. Same masala using for Perat, Roast & curry. Only thing you get good is beef, that even sometime. Dont buy beef afternoon. Only at eve. Recently ordered Mutton roast (full of fat & onion not at all boiled & chicken curry like flooded, no space for adding water & pieces not at all marinated. This hotel is like transit one. Very near Vizhinjam fry was available, for a change i tried, raahat. Messed up man. Its not about negative of cooking. Its all about wasting food. I regret. Very bad

Hotel Raahath is a restaurant that serves a variety of Indian dishes, with a focus on Kerala cuisine. The restaurant is located in Manacaud, opposite Union Bank, and near the East Fort and the Padmanabhaswamy Temple¹². The restaurant has a simple and neat ambience, with a common dining area and a family AC dining area¹. The menu offers a range of dishes, from vegetarian options like appam, idiyappam, and puttu, to non-vegetarian specialties like chicken biryani, beef dry fry, and mutton roast¹³. The restaurant also serves a variety of beverages, including traditional Indian drinks like sambharam and sulaimani, and international favorites like Pepsi and Sprite². The paneer chicken, porotta, and pathiri are some of the most popular items on the menu. The paneer chicken is a dish made with cottage cheese cubes cooked in a rich and creamy gravy with spices. The porotta is a flaky and soft flatbread that goes well with any curry. The pathiri is a thin and soft rice flour pancake that is also a good accompaniment for any dish. The dishes are served with onion salad and pickle for extra flavor. The paneer chicken, porotta, and pathiri are delicious and filling meals that will make you want to come back for more. The service at Hotel Raahath is fast and friendly. The staff is attentive and courteous, and they ensure that the customers have a pleasant dining experience. The restaurant also offers home delivery and catering services for special occasions². The prices are reasonable and affordable, and the restaurant accepts various modes of payment, such as cash, cards, and online wallets². Hotel Raahath is the perfect place to enjoy a tasty meal with your family or friends. It is also a good option for takeaways or home deliveries. Hotel Raahath is a place where you can taste the authentic flavors of Kerala and have a fun time. Hotel Raahath is a place that will make you say "It's finger lickin' good!"

They used to my favourite place for the best beef fry (beef double fry) and awesome porotta. Once stale food was captured from there, I completely avoided this place. Their porotta was big, but well cooked and the crispness was amazing. Their beef fry was deep fried and it was simply one of the best in Trivandrum. They have chicken fry which has big pieces. Another speciality was their yummy appams. I used to be a regular customer, not anymore.

Once the restaurant was quite famous for it's tasty fast food dishes . But now, it seems like almost every dish has the same masala and the taste is also not really good. The quality of food has declined over the years.

Finding tasty vegetarian food in a typical non-vegetarian hotel is a difficult thing. Raahat is kind of surprising. I have eaten fresh and tasty vegetarian food from here. The dishes are simple but the cooks really know what they are doing.

Nice place and courteous staff. Quick service. Tasty food and affordable prices. Parking is a problem. It happens to be right near to a busy bus stop with no parking space available.

The former favorite restaurant went downhill in food quality. But the aesthetic and the interior of the newly renovated restaurant is very nice. The service is actually fair enough. But one curry we ordered wasn't near the actual chicken Chettinad. The chicken used was improperly cleaned and smelled like blood. If I get a chance, I should make a nice Chettinad chicken and have the cooks taste it. The waiter immediately picked up the dish and got another portion, but it was very far from Chettinad. Parotta and BDF were pretty great.
