It was a nice experience going there. The atmosphere is very calm and you can enjoy your evenings ๐ŸŒƒ there if you are stressed. They also have boating ๐Ÿ›ฅ and a train ๐Ÿš‰ makes a round around the beach ๐Ÿ–. They also have horse riding ๐Ÿด and some game stalls. There is a park ๐Ÿž for children. It is a good place for sight-seeing. It also has a small pond which contains lot of turtle ๐Ÿข. It also has a floating bridge ๐ŸŒ‰. Overall it is a nice place if you want to spend your evenings.

Peaceful and calm. Best places to enjoy view and not so crowded with visitors, can also enjoy even if you're alone. But there is no shade and it is littered with waste which reduce the beauty of the beach. If you go there don't throw waste there please!!

Nature at its best. The most beautiful and serene beach. There's enough parking space for four wheelers. Some plastic waste is heaped near to the beach. Authorities must take up a cleaning drive. Good to go with family.

A popular tourist spot in Thiruvananthapuram that lies sandwiched between the Arabian Sea and Veli Lake is Veli Beach. Veli tourist village associated with the beach offers boating facilities. A separate Childrenโ€™s Park and Floating Cafe run by Kerala Tourism Development Corporation (KTDC) are added incentives to visit this unique village. Timing: Open 09:00 - 18:00 hrs

Good beach. Entry fee should be paid here. I will add the payment details in my photos please check and plan accordingly also It has a wonderful lake and sea view. There is a miniature train around the place but temporary train service not available due to some engine repair. It has parks, a garden and a children's play area they should enjoy a lot...

A calm atmosphere in the evenings ! "Sit peacefully and listen the music of waves in blue.." ๐Ÿ’™ There is a children's park behind the beach..lots of fun activities like trains, boat surfing, horse riding makes the evening more scenic.. Note: If you park your vehicle and entering from the beach side.. please note that the entrance from the beach side has a small wooden bridge which closes exactly at 6:00pm.. strictly no one is allowed through the small bridge after 6pm ..after that you walk around the park ~1.5 to 2kms to reach the beach parking.. kindly do exit before the time if you're enter from the beach side

It's a good place to spend time, to relax. Amazing place.... You can roam the full veli park by the train inside it. The park is very good. Neat and clean premises. Parking will be difficult on Fridays and Sundays. You have to come and spend time as a family.

I think one of the best beach in Trivandrum district. The one and only beach which government doing something to preserve as a tourist destination for future generations. There are so many works on progress hope that all are finish along 2023-24 time. Currently there is a train track for enjoyment and also floating restaurants. The beach located around 1km from the parking yard, so the walking side views can enjoy a lot. Seashore currently seams to be typical Kerala seashore without any cleaning. But seashore area well protected by guards, so safely point of view itโ€™s good. There are some food stalls and activity centres for chilling. Horse riding is possible on this beach. Best time to visit is after 5 o clock. The sunset view from this beach is fantastic.

Nice beach to spend time with family. Less crowded compared to other beaches. There's a children's park and tourist village near to this beach. St. Thomas Church is very close to this beach. This beach is easily accessible from the city. Enough parking facilities also available. There was no nearby shops for refreshments.

Vellayi Beach is an absolute gem on the Kerala coastline. I recently visited this tranquil paradise, and I was completely mesmerized by its beauty. The beach boasts soft golden sands that stretch for miles, merging with the turquoise waters of the Arabian Sea. What struck me the most about Vellayi Beach was its peaceful atmosphere. Unlike the crowded tourist spots, this beach offered a serene escape. The gentle sound of the waves, the soothing sea breeze, and the absence of noisy crowds created a perfect setting for relaxation and introspection. The cleanliness of Vellayi Beach is commendable. The local authorities have done an excellent job of maintaining its pristine condition. I noticed the efforts made to keep the beach free from litter and the presence of clean restroom facilities nearby. Another highlight of Vellayi Beach is the stunning sunsets. I was fortunate enough to witness the sky turning into a vibrant palette of colors as the sun dipped below the horizon. It was a breathtaking sight that I will cherish forever.

It is a beautiful beach with a park near to it. The Veli tourist village joins the Veli beach by a floating bridge. There is a sand bar that separates the sea from the Veli Lake. It is a pleasure to take a walk through these sand bars.

Veli Beach in Thiruvananthapuram is a picturesque coastal destination that showcases the natural beauty of Kerala. With its soft sands, clear blue waters, and lush greenery, it provides a serene and peaceful environment for visitors. The beach offers a range of activities, from boating and water sports to cycling and picnicking. The well-maintained facilities, including clean restrooms and eateries, enhance the overall experience. The iconic floating bridge adds a unique charm to the beach, allowing visitors to explore the adjoining island. Veli Beach is a must-visit destination for those seeking relaxation, natural beauty, and a touch of adventure.

Over the years, this beach has undergone a significant decline from its previous glory. I remember this place being a fantastic hangout spot two decades ago, offering enjoyable activities like boating. However, during my recent visit, I was disappointed to learn that boating has been discontinued, depriving visitors of an exciting experience. One aspect that hasn't changed is the beach's popularity, particularly on weekends. Unfortunately, the heavy crowds can detract from the overall enjoyment, as finding a peaceful spot or having ample personal space becomes quite challenging. It's perplexing why this place continues to attract a large number of people when there isn't much to do here. When compared to its former glory, the beach now lacks significant attractions or engaging activities. The limited options available make it difficult to spend quality time and enjoy a fulfilling experience. It's disheartening to see a place that was once vibrant and lively lose its appeal over time. Despite the lack of substantial activities, it's worth noting that the natural beauty of the beach and its surroundings remain intact. The scenic views and the calming sound of the waves crashing against the shore can still provide a serene atmosphere for those seeking relaxation. However, for individuals seeking more excitement or a diverse range of recreational options, this beach may not meet their expectations. In conclusion, while this beach may have been a fantastic hangout spot in the past, it has since lost its charm. Discontinuing boating, the lack of engaging activities, and the overcrowded weekends make it a less desirable destination. Visitors looking for a vibrant and diverse beach experience may find themselves disappointed with the limited options available.

Calm and beautiful beach during weekdays. The stretch behind St Thomas church is not usually crowded, so you can consider this place if youโ€™re not too fond of Shankhumugam- and Kovalam-level crowds. I would suggest to bring your snacks, but please donโ€™t litter. The church is also a beautiful and calm place in case you want a short spiritual getaway.

Veli Beach is a serene and picturesque location that offers stunning views of the Arabian Sea and the backwaters. It is situated at the confluence of the Veli Lake and the Arabian Sea and is known for its scenic beauty, lush greenery, and peaceful surroundings. The beach is also home to a beautiful park, which is perfect for a relaxing stroll or a picnic with family and friends. One of the main attractions of Veli Beach is the Veli Tourist Village, which offers a range of activities and attractions for visitors. The village includes a floating bridge, pedal boats, and motorboats that can be hired for a ride on the backwaters. There is also a children's park, a mini zoo, and a well-maintained garden with a variety of plants and trees. The beach also has several restaurants and food stalls that offer a range of delicious local delicacies, making it a great place to sample the local cuisine. Overall, Veli Beach is a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to Thiruvananthapuram. Its scenic beauty, peaceful surroundings, and range of activities make it a great place to relax and unwind with family and friends. Whether you want to take a boat ride on the backwaters, enjoy a picnic in the park, or simply soak up the sun on the beach, Veli Beach has something for everyone.

Really good place for kids and families. There are small food joints and a good restaurant. The tender coconut is a must while you visit veli tourist village. There are good water sports too which you can enjoy. You can visit the whole tourist visit by the toy train service. You are not allowed to enter the beach as it is a risky area and the waves are harsh.
