One of the best waterfalls and a great place for trekking in Kerala. We can have a decent trekking with friends and family here, also there is ropes which helps us to climb. Totally worth view when we are at the top. Elders & kids will get exhausted, if they want to experience the full view of falls u need walk down on a steep rocks which is tough for older people

A great place for trekking, even people who are not very active wouldn't find it very exhaustive. It's better to carry spare clothes in case you want to take a dip in the lake. Dressing rooms are also available. Vehicles are allowed from the entrance gate till the parking lot located inside, which is around 1km. The trek starts from that point, and ends at the waterfall.

A beautiful forest area with a waterfall and river. The entry fee is 30 rupees per head and for the car is also the same. But you can't go much longer with the vehicle. After the entrance, you should park the vehicle and must walk for about 2km to reach the waterfalls. They won't allow going near the waterfall, because it is a very dangerous area. But you can enter the river nearby. Good experience of walking through the forest by hearing the natural sounds. And beware of the leach when you enter inside.

In my opinion, if you are able to walk about 1km should go and explore this area.. that much cool and natural beauty is in here.. I reached there by 11 and return by 12:30 after walking up and down 2km... It’s a good experience to me to go there and explore it.. feel the cold water with your bare foot.. feel that spirit... you will not regret.. but only thing is to feel this you have to walk about 1km... I don’t even trust that in this Rocky Mountain condition how could even elephants came their to drink water... but it’s true we can see the traces... At last we reached at waterfall... due to some accidents occurred we are not permitted to step down to it.. only we can see fishes in that water fall......

Stunning natural beauty... It's situated deep inside in the woods nearly 2 kms from the main road. But that walk through the woods was fun like a small trek. But first time when we went we were a lil bit disappointed because we were not allowed for a dip in the water. But it is not safe to get into the water because of the strong water currents and also the slippery rocks. Very good site for nature snaps and family picnics.

A beautiful waterfall which is reachable after a 1km trek through the forest. There are resting points/shelters along the trekking path and guards if you need any help. We can spot so many big fishes here down the waterfall. It is guarded and it is not allowed to enter the water near the waterfalls. There are dedicated places for taking a dip. There are changing rooms and toilets , so don't worry about getting wet. Even in summer the waterfall is beautiful and have adequate water. There is parking inside and there are seperate entry fee for individuals as well as your vehicle. From the entrance we can take our own vehicle about 1km inside till the parking space and from there only we have to trek 1km to see the waterfall. The waterfall is not wheelchair accessible as it is uneven throughout and it involves a water crossing.

What started off as a subtle waterfall ended up in a disappointing neverending walk in utter vain. Strongly not recommended for the following reasons: 1) No proper parking facility. There's no tarred road for access and throughout the facility. It takes at least 0.5 KM for you to reach the parking spot. I repeat there is no road. The path is terrible for your vehicle. 2) Ticket Counter: They expect one of you to get out of your vehicle and go back all the way to the entrance to pay the entry fee. Why don't they collect before entry? God knows ! 3) Distance to walk upto the main waterfall: once you see the first bit of the water at its lowest level, it takes at least 2KM of rough uphill walk to reach the so called main waterfall. Two things about that: a) The way just doesn't justify the end. There is no path. Just sticks and stones and fallen trees. And uphill, steep uphill. b)The main waterfall is just something you can observe from a great distance. 4) No refreshments: After all this activity in the Sun( place closes at 5 pm), you can only find one store that stores some drinks : And that too without a fridge. Swell ! Bottom Line : Only go if you love endless time in nature and love gazing at ginormous trees. Else, Don't Go !

Meenmutty is one of the most beautiful hidden waterfall in Trivandrum, it was a great trekking spot too. You are looking for a place where you can trrck and enjoy the wilderness of nature it's the best place for you & it's not a hard-core trekking spot, Ponmudi is just a few kilometres away from Meenmutty, If you are visiting Meenmutty don't miss Ponmudi, You won't regret. It's a great place please visit least once. The best restaurant near Meenmutty is Pebbles restaurant, They offer good food at reasonable prices and they have a good ambiance too. Hope this review will help someone ✨

A stunning spot for leisure. You can travel upto half kilometre from entrance and park your vehicle there. From parking there is almost 1 kilometre to the waterfalls where you have to go on foots. Ways are filled with rocks and great landscape. You have to take extra care on slippery rocks all through the way. Keeping a bottle of water can keep you fresh and energetic because the path is filled with rocks, up and downs.

The place is breathtaking. It is enjoyable to visit the river with family or friends. The waterfall is more than 1 km from the river where you can actually get into. According to my personal experience, you cannot get into the water if your soul aim for visiting the waterfalls is to do so. You trek for kilometres merely to see a waterfall from a tower more than 50 metres away. However, if you prefer trucking in the wilderness, it can be enjoyable, but only if you are aware that the waterfall you will see will be a letdown.

Meenmutty trekking begins from Kallar river and you need to trek approximately 3 km to reach the waterfall there are steep upsides but at the end what you will see is one of the most beautifull waterfall. The view is just breathtaking. The trek to the waterfall is even more fun,We had a excellent day in this area! We wanted to see as much as possible,

Visited this place back in 2018, the waterfall was not in full intensity. The place was bustled with tourists despite a great hike, this place is accessible after 25-30 minutes of hike inside the forest. We had a good time and clicked some great photos and while return, we enjoyed the river water.

Very attractive tourist destination.. 1km walk through the forest to reach destination. Guards available at every 200m spot. Carry your food and water as we will be exhausted while climbing. Bathing allowed near the car park area. Enjoy the natural ice cold water.

Very nice place. For see the meenmutty waterfall, we need to walk about 1 km throug forest. That is very very awesome. There are small streams along the path. The water is very chilled. That gives us a refreshment. The water fall is very nice. There is a nice view point opposute to the watterfall. We can see the all surroundings of th waterfall from there. There are soo many big pits in the stream. Soo be carefull. Too many accidents are happend in meenmutty waterfall. Any way meenmutty is a place with full of green 💚.

Now, we can't cross the waterfalls as the way is damaged because of flood and rain. Those who love forest, trees and all can walk upto the top for them it will be nice but, for those who just to see the waterfalls from the top, it will be disappointing for them as we can see waterfalls only from a tower. And we need to move fast after taking pictures cause they won't allow many to stand there. Also its a small space.. we need to move for others.

It's a beautiful place to explore. The long walk through the forest is all worth it at the end where you are the waterfalls. The sound of water throughout the journey is just splendid. A good recommendation for people who like the sounds of nature and silence of the woods.

one of the refreshing place to visit. People who love trekking should visit this place at least one time. You need to walk atleast 45 to 60minz to reach the main falls...!! This place is a the foot of Ponmudi hills and this place will refresh you all the way till the main falls...!! water will be soo cold here and for bathing it will be a bit hard in the morning. After an hour walk when u reach the main falls the feel will be different and when u touch the cold running water from the falls if will comfort you and make you feel relaxed..!! there is parking space available at the entrance and you need park and start walking from there.

Beautiful place, situated inside the jungle. A bit crowded. Long and enjoyable trek to the falls. A memorable experience. I suggest you visit here near noon and climb to ponmudi after 3:30.

Nice place to visit onwards poonmudi. The way of water falls too difficult for aged people's and heart patients. Water was crystal clear nice place to enjoy with family or friends. We can't take bath in falls but we can take bath from running water. Very thrilling place because elephants marks are there.

The waterfalls fall down from a height of 300 meters. To reach the waterfalls, you can do a trekking for about 2 kilometers through the thick jungles from the Wayanad-Ooty Road. It becomes very dangerous during monsoon and rainy seasons. The gushing waterfalls are located near the Neyyar Reservoir area.

  • 5/5 Anto P. 2 years ago on Google
Good location, beautiful waterfalls, kind of adventure trekking experience. You can enjoy the day with family. Toilet and dress changing facilities available for ladies.

  • 5/5 Vaishak V. 2 years ago on Google
Thrilling experience.Must visit place in wayanad. You can do a challenging trek in reaching the top view point from bottom. Experienced guards are there who will guide you properly. There is another walkway by which you can come down. People have made parking lots in their compounds for parking and charge 40 rs .Dont park your vehicle in the first available space. There is parking space in the top nearby the ticket counter . If you park in the bottom you have to climb the road and will get tired before trekking.

  • 4/5 JJRonn 2 years ago on Google
Visited the place in November 2021. A calm, quiet and serence place to be. You can see and feel crystal clear water. The place is plastic free and the authorities have done a good job to keep the location as such. At the entrance, you have to take a ticket- separate tickets for individuals, vehicles n camera. If you plan to take your four wheeler, make sure it has sufficient ground clearance as the parking lot is around 500m from the entrance. The offroading trail involves negotiating through a small stream with large rocks. People who venture into the river should be extra careful not to slip as the river bed is full of rocks. Worth a visit!

A good place for a one day trip, we can plan for ponmudi & Meenmutty falls on same day itself.. To view the Falls need to walk for 1.5 kms in the forest.. Currently they are not allowing near to the falls since the amount of water flow is high. We can the see falls from some distance.. Bathing is allowed at the entrance itself. Securities will be guiding on the same.

Beautiful place. But 0.5km off-road driving from the entrance is quite difficult. Less parking facility. Bathing is possible in stream.

Wonderful place to spend time with your loved ones for those who loves trekking, it's just 1km walk. The only regret is you cannot go near the waterfall, you can just watch it from the view point. But there are areas to enjoy in water along the way.

  • 5/5 prajeesh p. 1 year ago on Google
The waterfall looks nice, trekking from parking to the waterfall looks really nice, the structure of the rocks and small areas where we can sit and relax makes this place unique. A small ticket charge is there to enter. We can bath in one area where there is no danger. But bathing in the waterfall is strictly prohibited. Really a beautiful waterfall and nature around it.

This place has the most relaxing atmosphere ever. It's about a one and a half hours frome the erstwhile capital of Kerala,The city of Thiruvananthapuram.price ranges are ₹20 for children and ₹40for adults.prices are ₹100 for foreigners. This place is an amazing bathing spot. It has cool water of the kallar river. The waterfall is a one and a half kilometres trek to the waterfall. This includes a river crossing of fast flowing river. There are certain dangers as the river has slippery rocks. But as you reach the waterfall your mind will be blown. The beauty of the falls are so astonishing. The view is magnificent. The waterfall is powerfull and large. There are multiple resorts, hotels, and restaurants in the town of kallar, where the falls are situated. If you had come to Thiruvananthapuram for a relaxing vacation, this is a must visit. I also recommend visiting ponmudi which is nearby

Hardly any crowds... a small trek takes you to the waterfall.. getting into the waters is not allowed... but in the stream before the waterfall... by some very strange logic.. the authorities allow only families to get into the water

One of the beautiful tourist destinations in Trivandrum district located 45km far from Trivandrum city in Kerala State.Entrance fee is ₹30 per person. To reach the water falls u need to walk approximately 3km from the entrance but have a car or bike that can go 1km from the entrance.cannot possible for bath in waterfalls but can do it in 1km distance from the waterfalls. There have toilet and dress changing rooms.

  • 5/5 Arjith H. 1 year ago on Google
The most interesting is the trekking of 1kms through the forest to reach the waterfalls. If you are lucky you can experience a water crossing.

  • 5/5 Adarsh A R. 5 months ago on Google
This waterfall is located in Trivandrum. If you can walk morethan 1km through the forest, then you can experience this beautiful waterfall.. Please avoid travel here in heavy rainy seasons. This place may be closed if there is heavy rains. You can walk to the bottom of the waterfall in sunny seasons. But in rainy seasons they don't allow river cross.. so you will only get a long vew of waterfall from a view point. It is moderately hard Trekking to view this waterfall. So please take water to drink and plan based on that. The main negative point is even it is a tourist place, they Don't provide a better toilet facility. The toilets are in very bad condition 😕

  • 5/5 Abhilash B. 6 months ago on Google
Was such a mesmerizing experience to visit this waterfall. To see the waterfall there is almost a 1 km hike through the jungle. Worth visiting. There is also a place beneath for people to have a bath in the river.

The trek to the waterfalls is a real good one if u like trekking. More than 1km to walk with lots of climbs and slopes. The waterfall is beautiful too. Only problem is the road till the trek. If ur car doesn't have enough ground clearance l, the rocks will definitely give u a hard time. The 0.5km road tomill the bathing area is in very poor condition.

Half kilometer off road till the car parking space from the main entrance and around 1.5km walking through the forest to reach the waterfall. On the way there are few spots available to take rest. Some eyecatching giant rocks and safe spots to take bath are the main attraction. Guards are friendly and helpful. Toilet facilities available. Children's play area available near parking.

This place is situated on the way to ponmudi. People who visit ponmudi also visit this place. It has an entry ticket. The falls is situated a long way away from the starting point. It feels like a trekking before you reach the main falls. We were not allowed to take bath in the main falls though.

Way to waterfall Apt for family trekking. Everyone will enjoy River crossing on the way. Plenty of parking.space. If you see the road from the ticket counter to the waterfall direction you may think that it's a jeep road, but don't worry drive slowly till you see the parking space or end of the road. You can also bath in the river. It will be good if you choose the spot where guards can see you. Waterfall view point It's just a close view point. You can't swim or bath below water fall. Totally the way to water fall is worthy.

Located around 45 km from the city of Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of Kerala, India, Meenmutty Falls gives a glimpse of natural beauty surrounded by the mountain ranges of Western Ghats. The waterfall is located upriver the Neyyar reservoir area and travellers, have to trek through the dense forests to reach the falls. It took 2 hours travel from Thiruvananthapuram. It was drizzling often but enjoyable. A small trekking can be made in the forest to reach the main waterfalls which is about 1 KM from the Parking Zone.In stream near parking zone, people are allowed to enter and few deep pools too available. It was quite chilly in this month so get ready to experience an icy swim in the stream. This place is well maintained because it is less crowded.
