Ticket rate is 50 per person and another 50 Rs if coming by car. Have to wait for about 15 minutes to get to the bus that drops u to the main destination which is about 1.5 km inside the forest area. The water wall is a wonderful treat to the eyes. Entry to the fall is blocked . But you can have a bath at the baby fall that comes from the main fall. Security guards are available at every point to ensure safety and regulating the crowd. Theres is dress changing facility available for ladies. Lots of monkeys were roaming in the area.ara is clean and doest allow you to carry any plastic bottles.

Palaruvi Falls is a waterfall located in Kollam district in the Indian state of Kerala. It is the 32nd highest waterfall in India.Ticket cost for Adult - ₹50, children - ₹25 per head , parking charges are also same. Private vehicle is only allowed till the parking area near ticket counter. Have to wait for about 15 minutes to get to the bus provided by them that drops you near the waterfall which is about 1.5 km inside the forest area. The bus ride lasts about 10 mins followed by a 5 min walk. Now bathing near the main fall is not allowed . But you can enjoy bathing at the subfalls from the main one. Dress changing facilities are available for ladies. Visiting time : 8am to 4pm

Falls in the middle of Kerala forest is well maintained and clean, strict rules are enforced about not throwing plastic and waste about, which is a good initiative. Few pointers 1. You need to take only the local forest bus up to the falls so you need to buy tickets. During the day, queues can be quite long. So go early or ensure one person from your group stands in line before another buys the tickets 2. There is a small cafe where the bus drops you off near the falls. Limited items available. You may have a long wait before you are able to actually get what you paid for. 3. The walk up to the falls and even down to the bathing area is very uneven and slippery at times, so be careful while walking. 4. The view point at the top is beautiful, although a very steep walk ahead 5. There is a changing room for the women, which is a huge plus point. 6. If visiting during day, advised to carry enough water and small snacks while you wait to get on the bus. 7. Treat people with respect! And don’t be a nuisance! Beautiful views, nice memories to create 😀 worth the visit if you’re up to quite a hike.

This is one of the best waterfall I have seen in South India. Ample of parking space available that to inside the jungle. You have to take the entry ticket and then you have to get inside the government bus which will take you to the waterfall which is approximately 3-4 km from parking. When we went there there was heavy water flow which was mesmerizing. but the bathing area is little small so that in case of heavy crowd they will allow only for 1 hour for one group.. beware of the monkees out there..

Always Kerala is way better than other states in tourism. They have best management in staff and hygiene. Roads and parking are great. They arranged transport from parking area to water falls. They have great staff they keen on tourist safe and secured. Pros: staff and nature Cons: water level is depend on season

To get the best experience check for the rainy season. Please note that last entry is at 4.30pm. Private vehicles are not allowed inside. We need to get the forest bus pass which is available at the counter. 15 minutes bus drive and later a 10 minute trek uphill will help you reach the falls. Changing rooms are available hence enjoy the natural shower.

Palaruvi is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the Kollam district. I reached around 3 pm, the place was pretty crowded because of the holiday. The view from the top of the small rock cascade is serene and the water is so cool. You can bathe under the waterfall if the water level is low. The rock in the down can be a bit slippery as well. To reach here, you can use, public transportation or a Pvt vehicle. The ticket will cost around 75 rs per person. Palaruvi is located 4km from the ticket counter, so they offer a small bus ride, inside the forest, that's wonderful to go through. The best time of the season is after the monsoons and avoid dry seasons. If you want to bathe, consider taking towels because I didn't see many souvenir places around.

The waterfalls happens to be very beautiful and is a serene place to visit. As of now (COVID times), the officials do not allow people to take bath under the falls and you will only have to stay behind the railings and watch the falls. You are also not allowed to drive your car to the spot and will have to buy a ticket for the bus (Kerala Forest Department) that will carry you to the spot.

Palaruvi waterfalls tourist spot is open now, it's open from last 3 weeks said a volunteer. Those who wish to visit this site can come between 8AM - 4PM and must take a ticket of Rs. 50 ( half ticket for children above 5 years) from the Administrative block. Visitors are asked to park their vehicles near the administrative block and after checking the ticket they are taken to the waterfall site in their bus ( to and fro). Wash rooms are available at the parking lot itself. Volunteers need to avoid crowding in the bus, which I felt is necessary in this situation. Bathing is not allowed here, earlier we were allowed to visit the site in our vehicles, but now it's not.

A nice location to chill!!! But probably it will be crowded. A bus will take us to to the waterfall. Ticket cost is ₹50 per head, parking charges also same. It has some steps to climb to get to get a close view. The bathing/swimming location is not near the waterfall, its currently on renovation. Place is still restarting after pandemic.

Palaruvi literally means milk - waterfall due to the white appearance of the water. The falls move on from here to Shenbagadevi falls and then to Courtrallam falls. The water is supposed to be medicinal in nature. It is about 80 km from Kollam and takes about 2 hours by car. It opens at 9 AM but the buses which take you from the vehicle drop off point till the falls don't ply unless there are at least 10 to 15 passengers. The entrance fee is Rs 100 and Rs 50 for any car parking. There is a toilet at the entrance before boarding the bus. The guards warn you about carrying any food item as there are plenty of monkeys there. The bus ride lasts about 10 mins followed by a 5 min walk. There is only a ladies changing room. The falls itself are not to large and can fit about 4 or 5 adults, side by side. There is a another smaller one which can accommodate 2 adults. The water is cold as is to be expected. As there is no usage of soap or oil, it is fairly clean. On the side, there is a path to a view point - about 40 or 50 steps. You can get a really good view from there. The bus departs in exactly an hour from when it leaves. You will have roughly 45 mins to bathe and go up to the viewpoint. All in all it is a great experience. It is currently open without any major restrictions. Try and go early in the morning before the place gets crowded.

Overall a great experience and recommended place to visit. The water fall is amazing and can go to top to have a watch to view point. Also we can goo beneath to falls but pathway was damages when I visited. The only bad experience here is the waiting shed of bus which is made of glass and very hot to stand there. There are 4 buses taking to the water falls. The entry fee is Rs 50 per person and parking cost Rs 50 for car. Overall great experience and good place to visit.

The water flows milky as mentioned in the name Palaruvi (Translated as 'The Milky Stream'). Since the visit was post monsoon fall was healthy and met my expectations. The Forest Department and the Tourism Department did a fantastic job in managing the area well. In order to prevent the area from being a hectic traffic jam, they kept a huge car parking lot in an area 3–4 km away from the fall and arranged transportation in buses. The bus departs as soon as the seats are occupied and it runs as a shuttle service to and fro of the falls. There is also a bathing spot for those willing to bath in the fall and there is a good changing room and toilet facilities near the fall. Overall a good experience.

Palaruvi Falls (Malayalam: പാലരുവി വെള്ളച്ചാട്ടം) is a waterfall located in Kollam district in the Indian state of Kerala. It is the 32nd highest waterfall in India. Palaruvi (literally "stream of milk") falls from a height of 300 feet (91 m) and is situated at Aryankavu in the Kollam district of the south Indian state of Kerala. One of the most famous and most visited waterfalls in south Kerala is Palaruvi the “Stream of Milk” situated in Thenmala region. Here, water falls from a height of 300 feet and provides you with facilities to swim and enjoy. Located within the evergreen forest, there is the historical Kalmandapam made by Travancore Rajas. The quaint place is a perfect picnic spot to have a relaxed day. With the lush green that surrounds and the melodies tunes of the birds, the place creates an ideal ambience for travellers. The best time to visit this beauty is during June – January.

Beautiful experience, the Forest Marshall's there are very friendly too, one must take a bus to the the waterfall and then must walk a flight of stairs to see the falls clearly, although halfway through, there's a point where you can see the falls clearly. Adult tickets cost 50rs per head and children are 25rs per head. The bus service is also comfortable and the bus only leaves after 10 personnel have boarded the bus.

Wow! Very Nice place and Waterfalls. Palaruvi gave us such a good experience that we thought we had not been here for so many days. Looking at this place it seemed that the Kerala tourism department has maintained it in a very beautiful way. When we went, the water was rushing very fast in the waterfall. It is a very beautiful moment.. It is a very beautiful place to see and enjoy..We came as friends and decided that next time we should bring everyone with family..Only one hour is allowed. However, isn't an hour enough in that beautiful place? That is the only minor disappointment but everything else is very beautiful..

Check between June and mid-October for the finest experience. Please take note that admittance closes at 4.30 p.m. There is no parking for personal automobiles inside. The forest bus pass, which is accessible at the counter, must be obtained, taking a 15–minute bus ride. You can obtain a close look of the falls by walking upward for 5–10 minutes Enjoy the natural shower because there are changing rooms accessible. The swimming and bathing area is under restoration and is not close to the waterfall.

Milk flowing from up the sky, palaruvi waterfalls literally give this feel. From the ticket counter to the waterfall it's 4 km distance. Only 4 buses operated by the forest department commutes the visitors to and fro the waterfalls located at a pretty good height up in the mountains. 70 rupees per head is the charge plus 60 rupees for car parking. Keeping water bottles handy will be useful. There is only one small tea and snacks cafe operated by the Kerala Forest department staffs which is crowded usually and takes time to fetch a small cup of tea or banana fry like snacks. Those who come prepared to take a shower in the waters flowing from the falls can enjoy amidst the crowds. The falls go fully functional only during steady rainy season. It takes minimum 1hr 20 minutes to just see take pictures and come back from, including the waiting time to board the bus.

I visited Palaruvi Waterfalls recently, and it was a truly breathtaking experience. The natural beauty and serene ambiance of this place left me spellbound. The cascading waters, surrounded by lush greenery, create a picturesque setting that's perfect for nature lovers and adventure seekers. The trek to reach the waterfalls was an adventure in itself, with well-maintained trails and an opportunity to immerse oneself in the dense forest. The sound of the falling water and the cool mist in the air added to the overall tranquility of the place. The Palaruvi Waterfalls are not just a sight to behold but also an excellent spot for a refreshing dip in the crystal-clear pool beneath. The water is refreshingly cold and invigorating, making it an ideal spot to cool off on a hot day. The local vendors offer delicious snacks and beverages, adding to the overall experience. The combination of natural beauty, accessibility, and the warmth of the local people make Palaruvi Waterfalls a must-visit destination. I can't recommend it enough for anyone looking for a peaceful escape into the heart of nature.

What a breathtaking experience!Located along the route from Thenmala to Arayankavu, this beautiful waterfall looks like a stream of milk giving justice to its name. The water falls from a height of almost 90 meters. The cold water that falls from the rocks are a delight to watch. People are required to park their cars at the parking area provided near the entrance as personal vehicles aren't allowed.Ample parking space is provided.Parking fee is Rs 50( for car).Toilet facilities are also provided near the parking area. Forest dept provides bus services to and from the waterfalls and are available every 10-15 mins.Ticket charge for the waterfalls is Rs 50/head. Its almost a 10 min journey in the bus through narrow forest road.Carry enough water with you as no such facilities are available near the waterfalls.Beware of your belongings as lots of monkeys hang around the waterfalls. Due the covid 19 pandemic, bathing is currently restricted, which otherwise could have brought the experience a whole lot better.A watch tower like structure is also provided to experience it from a different angle. The cold drizzling water, the gentle breeze and the splendid nature is a delight for any nature lover.😇Do not spoil the experience by littering waste items near the waterfalls.🙏

Palaruvi waterfalls is really amazing. Sitting very close to the waterfall gives you the tiny spray of water splashing on your face is really awesome. There is enough car parking space available but cars are not allowed near the waterfall location instead there is Forest bus which takes passengers from the car parking area to the waterfall location. There is toilet facilities for ladies and gents. Due to Corona now there is restriction for bathing. Another issue which I noticed is that the bus which takes us from the Car Parking to the waterfall location will take time. The ticket fare for a single person is 50 rupees.

It’s a good one. Completely into nature. Good that private vehicles are not allowed deep inside the forest. Bathing is not allowed. Restaurants or eateries closed on weekday. Not sure if it’s temporary. So plan accordingly.

Good place to enjoy some natural beauty here. Sadly they have prohibited bathing here due to covid-19. You can just go there for an hour and click some pics. Enjoy for a while and come back. Thats all you can do as of now. Not sure when they'll open it again for bathing.

Good visit.Worth visiting. Only thing is that you have to park your vehicle inside near the ticket counter and go with forest vehicle.adult 50 per head and Rs.25 for kids above 5. I would suggest not to visit with kids at this time especially with the habit of throwing mask. You will see many people without masks...

Palaruvi or stream of milk is a waterfalls in the thenmala eco tourism area. It is in quilon district. From the entrance, a bus of tourism and forest department takes you to the waterfalls. Its a beautiful place to visit. Kids will enjoy playing in the water at the bottom of the falls.

It was a pleasant visiting such a natural water fall. All good services but can't take the bath at the time I visit as water stream was so high. We have to wait for the ticket counter for assemble near to 10 people to visit the fall can't self drive near to fall, park your vehicle at ticket counter parking and they will take you in a mini-bus. Enjoy the nature and please don't litter and spoil the nature...😊

Quite natural spot, but for the pandemic and safety measures taking bath under the waterfall is restricted. If you are a mother nature lover I suggest you will love it too. If you are keen to take a shower postpone your plan until pandemic gets over.

Great 😃. Cool Water. Enjoying Place With Family. I visited on 21/03/2023. We can not go there with our vehicle. There is Forest department Bus for us to transport to Palaruvi. That Bus ride is also enjoyable (Off Road)

Palaruvi waterfalls is one of my favorite tourist spot. I had been to the place with my family and we all loved the place. We stayed near by and backflow of the water, the hill view and the climate was just amazing and I fell in love the place as it is. It was during the rainy season we visited and everything was stunning. We need to take tickets pass and go by the bus arranged by them so make sure to arrange all the necessary. Wherever tourist place you visit its ur sole responsibility to keep the place clean and safe as it is, so don't throw away anything.
