Fake reviews, place is promoted by Travancore island resort. I've walked from Kovalam to this place which was around 9km. Walk was good but there was almost nothing, only a village with local house. It's not a touristy spot! Better avoid going there.

Is in the truest sense a get away for holiday makers, peace seekers and tired nerves. No concrete buildings, and absolutely no blaring of horns of vehicles - just pure salubrious fresh air and silence. The tea stalls, reminiscent of rural Kerala, dots the island. The island, spread over two square kilometres in length and a width of half-a-kilometre, is complete with a temple, "kavu" and church. The festivals at these places of worship can also be witnessed by the tourist. For the spiritually bend, the ancient Parasurama temple situated on the bank of Karamana river at Thiruvallom can be an attraction. Edayar is just a five minute walk from Thiruvallom near the Trivandrum-Kovalam bypass. Visitors can either ferry to the island or can opt to use the narrow iron bridge near Thiruvallom to walk into the island.

It's not actually a tourist spot by definition. Also not recommended if you are coming with your family. There's no road to reach the spot by vehicles. You have to treck a little through a private property where they offer horse riding trianing.

The island is located a scenic 5-minute walk away from Thiruvallam and for the spiritually minded, there is an ancient Parasurama temple located on the banks of the Karamana River in Thriuvallam that is an added attraction. A day spent on this unspoiled island is sure to revive those craving for calm and serenity, a need to rest and rejuvenate from the demands of urban living. Itโ€™s a place where you can reconnect with your inner self or spend quality time with your loved ones away from the intrusions of modern living.

This island is situated in Poonthura village in Trivandrum. In this place you get nice view of the sunset. And it's a peaceful place where you can spend time in the evening. This is one the place where sea and the river meets together thus makes the place so calm and beautiful.

Nothing great to watch. When we reach a beach through the island, the view is disastrous. No development out there in that island. People are not using toilets, but sea shores for their needs...๐Ÿ˜ฉ๐Ÿ˜ต๐Ÿ˜ซ

A completely inhospitable looking area for an outsider. Not accessible by car or bike or even bicycle. Might be scenic but doesn't look very welcoming. I might want to get away but don't want to get stranded. Some reasonable amount of infrastructure desperately needed.

Wonderful unspoiled landscape. Afraid of West side boundary with rough Sea is dredging the land heavily. Govt needs to consider making a proper seawall.

Unbelievable! A small island in Thiruvananthapuram with rustic background, but so sorry it's all pollution surrounding the island.
