Was on top of my to-go places in Varakala and it didn't disappoint me at all! A perfect close to nature retreat for book lovers and foodies, nested in North Cliff Promenade. The food, hospitality, ambience and the sea view is soothing for the soul. They have a huge variety on their menu and everything that we ordered was just perfect. I tried chicken Sandwich, Alfredo Pasta, Cold Coffee and a slice of Carrot cake. Food is par expectations. A MUST visit place when in Varkala.

It's a great spot, v had - Lemon cake Apple crumble Carrot cake and Chocolate cake ( all the cakes were yummy, but my personal favourite was the lemon cake, really moist and soft in texture. I was able to enjoy the taste of the lemon in every bite. Then v ordered Chicken salami pizza- 10/10 ( no words) and chicken wings (super quantity and yummy too) had one of the perfect mint lime and chocolate+peanut butter+ coconut milk smoothie 🥳 Finally my Hot chocolate 😍 Definitely going back again 🥰 It's pocket friendly and I am pretty satisfied with the customer service too.

Very tasty food and great service .You can enjoy your food with a sea view. Has both vegetarian and non vegetarian options also the staff is really very nice. Does not serve alcohol, but mocktails are great 👍

Stumbled upon this gem. Owners and staff were all very kind and friendly. Food was delicious. Views are superb! Place is a very laid back beach restaurant. Our group tried steam veg momos, grilled garlic butter pepper squid, deep fried prawns, Popeye pizza, fries, brownie with ice cream and cheese cake. Got only one pic though since we were so hungry! Go try it!!

Located in the Varkala Cliff. Takes a short walk along the strip. Offers a good view of the ocean. Provides a wide variety of menu. Tasted good.

Very tasty food and ambience. Veg: loved their veg roll sandwich and pancake. Both tasted exquisite. Non veg: Friends tried their American brekfast and chicken sandwich. The hasbrown tasted a bit desi but was good

Good food, we tried steak and pasta and taste was amazing. Had a waiting time of half an hour, but if you get a place with good view time flies. Milkshakes were ok. Tried a cocktail in which the alcohol content was more. When asked, the staff said they get complaints for not adding enough alcohol in the cocktail and they make it in a way where the taste dominates. So be sure to mention the quantity of liquor to be added. Place was not very clean but not bad as well. And a bit expensive too.

We had lunch here and the food quality was just exceptional. We had fried fish with Kerala spices (starter), rice, butter naan, prawn curry and lime soda. Everything tasted awesome and quantity and quality is excellent. I just loved the food. It's food is comparatively much better than the nearby God's country kitchen food joint.

One of the best cafes on Varkala cliff. Great menu options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We went there two times and enjoyed every bit. The food is great, the coffee is amazing and the view is to die for. Ordered avacado on toast and Del mar breakfast, both turned out to be good choices. The staff is patient and understands English and Hindi. Want to chill in Varkala, this is the place! Car park will be at the helipad.

We went to this casual dining restaurant on 21 Nov 2023 for lunch. We had reached by 1400 hrs and there was no waiting period rather it was kind of deserted at that time. Restaurant 2 floors. There is no separate parking but parking is available in general for visitors of Varkala beach and is plentiful. Ambience wise place has a basic decor and second floor is open with a awesome view of the sea beach. (7/10). It has adequate seating and can accommodate good number of people , and very importantly does not appear congested (8/10). Restaurant Staff is courteous, polite and well behaved, and were pleasant to interact with (8/10). Menu is limited. (8/10). Service was prompt and My orders arrived hot and in reasonable amount of time. (7/10). Price of dishes is fine. During this visit we tried Seafood Thupka, Bruschetta, fish curry, plain basmati rice and orange juice. Taste wise they were fine. Quantity wise they were filling for two - three persons.(8/10). washroom was clean. All payment options were available. Overall a very fine experience (8/10).

Great place it's got food Chinese, Indian,Italian and continental good ambience,great view and also music if you ever come to varkala north cliff check this place out.

Wonderful view! Food is quite good. The bread is what is worth appreciating! Quite soft , thick slices of bread which is a pleasure compared to regular store bread! We tried the kerela eggs and beans with bread which is good.. Avocado veg sandwich okay Dessert needs improvement...

One of my favourite cafe in Varkala. I use to visit it at-least once every alternate days. Have the best options for breakfast, lunch, dinner and have massive coffees which I loved the most. My personal favourites were the breakfast meal, any kind of coffee, pizza. Also here there are many vegetarian options available compared to other cafes on the cliff.

Located in the North Cliff. You Need to walk a bit to reach there. Vehicles are not allowed inside. I was there for my breakfast. Ordered for Café del Mar Special Breakfast. Very average. Not very tasty. Just the veggies, mushroom and cheese. Bland taste. Comes with one piece of bread, butter and fruit juice. Next I ordered a Spinach mushroom omelette with cheese which comes with one piece of bread and butter. I expected better quality food from here after seeing good reviews. But I was totally disappointed. May be a bad day for me. The only thing I liked was the Coffee and the ambiance. Almost all the cafes in the cliff you get more or less the same view. The service was extremely slow and breakfast experience was a let down 👎🏻 May be much hyped.

What an amazing place and food. I just can't stop raving about the food. Grilled fish, grilled prawn, excellent smoothies, amazing chicken with keral traditional ground spices gravy.. Excellent service every order is prepared fresh. The food would really surprise you in a very pleasant way. Topping it all is an excellent view of Arabian sea. One of the best dining experience

The watermelon juice was not that great but the scrambled eggs with veggies were so good. The coffee was the best part of it. Must try if you are visiting varkala.

The best place in varkala to have the best continental breakfast. The beef omlette and tuna burgers are just a treat to your taste buds. We even tried their mushroom roll and it was just wow. The portion size is huge and can almost serve 2 people. A must visit place in Varkala

A must try restraunt on the cliff and food is delicious. Have tried Kerala chicken fry, and sea food pizza both are very good. Staff are helpful and prices are slightly on a higher end when compared with other restraunts on the cliff but still worth a Visit.

What a great place to sit and relax! Fairly good food, nice service and amazing view. Definitely recommended. Wish it was a bit more cleaner though. The table clothes could use a wash:’) My favourite from here is the Bombay Toast.

The rooftop has an amazing view. Definitely recommend it for a sunset coffee spot. The beed steal was really delicious and juicy so was their lasagna, just perfect! Tried a mango smoothie too which was too sour. They've got a wide variety of foods. Must visit cafe in Varkala

When I went there,I initially thought " Meh, what's gonna be so different about it" . But damn the food and sea view totally made up for it! Takes a bit of time but well worth it. And portions are great!

One of the best cafe located in Varkala cliff. Nice 180 degree view of seashore from the seats and well maintained facilities. Nice food , nice services. Rate is also acceptable. Little delay on food delivery,but it's ok with their standard. Hungry people who will arrive at cliff should definitely try..☺️

The ambience is very nice, we went more than 4 times to this cafe. Taste is very good and i loved the service. We ordered so many items 1. Masala omlet - very good 2. Continental breakfast - cornflakes with cold milk and fried egg with toast, one juice. It was so good 3. Fit n healthy breakfast combo - Muesli with fruits, honey and cold milk, toast and juice. Lovely view from the first floor. Cafe food is above average. Fish fry is yummy. Not crowded. Service is above par. As tourist place food is costly. You have to pay minimum 700-1000 bucks for two people decent food. Restaurant is on the cliff it make place worth visit. Just sit and enjoy the beauty of varakala beach with hot Tea. This place sits at perfect location on the top of varkala cliff. The food is amazing, music is amazing and it has got perfect ambience. Though it's a bit expensive place but you'll have the best cliff cafe experience here.

Pretty decent place for dine-in. Faces the beach and the menu is pretty elaborate! I ordered veg lasagna and chicken soup, and this was my very first time I'm actually seeing a lasagna. Was kinda disappointed by the texture as it was very gluey and cheesy. Found it hard to eat! The taste was unbeleivably good though!

One of the best cafes on the cliff. Personally recommended because this place is quite good. The variety of foods, vast options of drinks, beautiful sea view and the main thing to be highlighted is quantity and quality of food. Don't look at the price because anything ordered is pretty much for 2 people. Please expect a delay of 30-45 minutes.

From the very first time i had breakfast there i came back many times for dinner and more breakfasts, and they never failed to impress. Friendly and efficient staff, great food and drinks. good wifi, usually playing fine tunes and very good views.Special compliment to their coffee During my time in Varkala i hardly went anywhere else

In the cliff so the view is always good! The restaurant upstairs needs improvement, but the food was fine! The best part of the restaurant is the view, so they need to really renovate the upstairs space. Good vegan options.

I was really looking forward to eating at this restaurant on our trip to Varkala. We had mostly starters here. In hindsight, I would have preferred to order biriyani or something else rice based. We were understandably looking to try seafood. We had Fish and Chips first and then a Kerala Fish Fry . We also had Calamari Flutter. I liked the first Fish and Chips and the Fish Fry quite a bit but wasn't a fan of the Calamari Flutter. We wanted to try prawns or something else as well but there was no other seafood available which was quite disappointing and unexpected considering the location. The service was very slow. We were told upfront that food would take around 40 mins which was also surprising since the restaurant wasn't particularly crowded. The waiter lacked any energy and seemed disinterested. Not sure why. The place also seemed unmderstaffed. Overall, my experience here was relatively disappointing. Not sure if that was just a function of that day and the dishes we ordered.

This is my absolute favorite restaurant in varkala. The food is always fantastic and no matter what I order I am always delighted with my meal! Servers are also great and always efficient, happy and polite., especially Ali,he was very polite and I like his customer service,Can’t wait to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat in varkala cliff, having a beautiful view

This was my first time visiting Cafe Del Mar in Varkala, and I enjoyed my meals here. They have comfortable seating which overlooks the beach. The staff is courteous and professional, the food is worth the money. I had dinner here with my family - we had tiger prawns, kombucha tea, apple pie, orange juice, ice tea, scrambled eggs and fish curry with paranthas. Their food is delicious and I would recommend people coming here with their friends and family.

We went here for breakfast. The ambience and location of the restaurant is beautiful. We ordered sulaimani tea + some chicken sandwich + triple cheese omelet. Food quality and taste was good enough. Not great and not bad. Tea was good! They gave the order very late but we didn't realise because the view was too good 😂 They have a balcony on the G+1 floor and it has beautiful view! Just note than vehicles don't reach this place, it's situated on Varkala cliff, where you've to walk.

Food was good enough and also with the sea view, it was perfect. It's good for a group of people also for any couple for brunch or lunch. Only cons I can see here is that they have limited veg options, this place is good for non veg lovers.

Our host suggested this place and it was great suggestion for our dinner. They have a pretty good list of items on the menu and considering the location, not too expensive also. Really loved the Mahi Mahi fish grill and the salads were also lovely. We went back for break fast the next morning, and that too went well

The view, food, and service makes it 10 on 10. I would definitely recommend giving it a try, you won't be disappointed. Sahil's service is fast and excellent. Scenic view of the beach......laid back and peaceful ambience.....relaxed vibes .....fresh and time consuming (nice way) method of cooking .....sumptuous taste with very limited Indian dishes on menu....very subtle but intelligent owner...decent enough service....

This place is really good and must visit if you are in varkala. Theh have a nice variety of menu with amazing options. The view from the cafe is amazing and staff is also friendly. We took Seafood platter - 4.5/5 really good and must try loved the flavours Veg burger - was good but very dry ! 3.5/5 Kombucha drinks - the options are nice and good to try 4/5 Chilly panner - was really different and unique from what I have had and I liked it! 4/5 Apple pie with ice cream - definitely give it a try !! 5/5 Don't miss this place!
