    1) Should visit the place during rainy season. Then only you can enjoy the beauty....Also try to reach during sunrise/sunset time..Rest all time too hot 2) Road is very Conjusted and I don't know KSRTC also do service till near by area, making traffic block all the time, So avoid visiting the place in Peak time and holidays. You can't park and have food sideways, as there is no space and shops inbetween. 3) Shops for drinks/snacks are there only in parking ground of view point . 4)Good parking ground.. 5) Beware of monkeys..

The destination mesmerizes the viewers with its panoramic view of the nearby location. There is ample parking space for cars, travellers and two wheelers.Seethargund, according to beliefs is the place where Lord Rama, Laxmana and Seetha rested during their exile. The view point resides in a private estate and the entry timing is from 9am to 5pm .

Nice scenery.. we can have a view of pothundi from here... Enough parking facilities at the point.. The way to the view point is good and in between the lush green tea plantations...

It is one of the best view point seen in South India. An absolute wonder of nature! Its like the whole side of a mountain cut vertically. The view point is scary and mesmerizing at the same time. You can see fog and thick clouds moving vertically upwards . Lots of harmless monkeys and almost no firm barricades for protection . So just be extra careful while bringing small kids. You need to pay 10/20rs for parking . A must visit place.

Certainly, the Seethargundu Viewpoint is situated near Nelliyampathy in Palakkad district of Kerala. This picturesque location is characterized by its cool, misty climate, making it a refreshing escape from the heat of the plains. The viewpoint is named after the legendary Seetha, who, according to local folklore, bathed in the stream nearby during her exile. Visitors can access the viewpoint through a scenic drive that winds through dense forests and tea estates, enhancing the overall experience. The lush greenery, serene atmosphere, and the distant sound of waterfalls create a sense of tranquility that's truly captivating. It's an ideal place for hikers, birdwatchers, and anyone looking to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the Western Ghats.

The Seethargundu viewpoint offers a breathtaking view of Palakkad from the top of a hill. It is managed by the POABS plantation. While the road towards the viewpoint may be a little off the main road, the drive is worth it. Once you reach the top, there is a parking space where you can park your vehicle and take in the stunning panoramic view. You can also purchase various food products like jams, squash, spices, and honey from the outlet. Overall, it was a great experience.

Better if you visit here at evening or morning. Good view. Can see a very wide view of kollengode. Entry to water fall viewpoint is closed due to safety reasons. But if you wish, there are ways to reach there. Be careful by the way.

The breathtaking beauty of this hill, adorned with lush greenery, is a testament to nature's awe inspiring artistry. As I stood at Seethargundu, the panoramic view left me speechless, it's a symphony of serenity. The playful monkeys added a touch of charm to the whole experience, making it even more delightful. Nelliyampathy is not just a place, it's an escape to tranquility. The simplicity of the surroundings coupled with the vibrant hues of nature creates a haven for anyone seeking a break from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Whether you're an adventure seeker or just looking for a peaceful retreat, Nelliyampathy has something for everyone. I can't recommend this place enough, it's like a painting come to life. The memories I made here will linger, and I'm already planning my next visit to soak in the magic of Nelliyampathy Hill. If you love nature's wonders, this is a must visit destination that promises an unforgettable experience.

The place has a pleasant ambiance, view point is attractive, creating a comfortable atmosphere for visitors. However, there are limited attractions or points of interest to keep one entertained. The destination mesmerizes the viewers with its panoramic view of the nearby location. Additionally, the condition of the road leading to the location is poor. There is ample parking space for cars, travellers and two wheelers. Seethargundu Viewpoint is situated near Nelliyampathy in Palakkad district of Kerala.Almost 33 km from nenmara town. 22 km from pothundi dam.

According to beliefs this is the place where Lord Rama, Laxmana, and Seetha rested during their exile. The viewpoint offers a panoramic view of hills and valleys. Last 2 kms. of the road is narrow and you need to negotiate with tourist buses and other vehicles from opposite side as well as going toward the view point. When we visited at about 3-30 pm, there was a huge traffic jam and it took alomost 30 mins. to drive 2 kms.

Bad things first, due to power supply issues the toilet didn't have water supply. Females had to rush to some open bushes and get bitten by leeches. The security there said even if there is no water he wanted money to allow people to use the walls. This is extremely unacceptable and wonder what health department, tourism department and electricity department has got to comment on these. Nava keralam and tourism with such attitude is surprising. Considering ₹20/- parking or entry fee, they couldn't afford a wind power or solar or a generator is also interesting! The place is God gifted with nature's beauty and chill wind. Lot of photographic spots. Beware of leeches and don't touch grassed. The place is guarded by some apes ;)

This is the place every body goes in nelliyampathy. Walkable height. At top its a beautiful view. There are many monkeys here. Be careful with them. We can see a large area from the height. Better to go early morning or evening. Its too hot at noon. Careful with food items as the monkeys may attack.

Very scenic place to visit with friends and family. It’s located in Palakkad district. The route to this view point is through the forest area, so you can really enjoy the greenery of this hill station. The check post will open at 7-8am . The view from the place is really breathtaking and beautiful. If you are lucky you can experience the mist and cool wind from the top

It was a wonderful experience. You can go there with family including kids. There is ample parking space for cars, travellers and two wheelers. Eventhough net coverage was not there, direction indicators will lead you to the parking lot. As you reach the top, make sure you follow one way. You have to walk for about 400 metres from parking lot to view point. No entry fee. Parking Rs. 20/- for cars. There is a POABS factory outlet at parking lot, where you can get organic tea and coffee powder, honey, squash etc.

Scenic place with a 360 view of palakkad city. Explore this place when the sun is on as the view may not be clear with mist and fog. The reason behind Nelliyampathy’s name is because of the ‘Nelli maram’ at this point.

It is located on a cliff and offers a stunning view of the surroundings making it a perfect attraction for travelers and photographers. The view is breathtaking 😍 you can see lot of paddy fields down there if its not foggy. The deep forests around the spot are playground of monkeys. You can see lot of them there and please take care of your belongings otherwise they will steal it and you have to be very lucky to get it returned. Sometimes they go wild so better not go near if you have no idea how to deal with them.

A great view point and best tourist attraction at Nelliyampathy. The view from here is breathtaking. The road to reach the place was in very bad condition. There was only parking fees for vehicles and no separate tickets for persons are needed. Toilet facilities are available.

Nestled just 8 kilometers away from Nelliyampathy, the Seetharkundu Viewpoint provide breathtaking views which are best complemented by the Seetharkundu waterfalls and surrounding paddy fields. Believed to be the place of relaxation for Lord Rama and Laxman while they were on exile, the viewpoint is sure to leave you awestruck with its beauty and surrounding greenery. The aroma of coffee and tea from the neighboring plantations make a visit to the viewpoint even more exciting

Nice place and nice view point its just awesome 🤠 must visit place in nelliyampathy. But we should be careful very careful while going there major attraction is that the view of kollengode from the view point. The Highlighted 🌲 of nelliyampathy is located at this place. Good vehicles parking facility available there, currently the water fall view point is closed because of the safety measures.

A good time to spend evening with friends or family. Offers a good view of the Nenmara, Nenmeni, Kollengode regions of Palakkad. There are a few limited shops from where the walkway to this view point starts. They do have restroom facilities with minimal usage charges.

Awesome viewpoint. It's long time wish to visit Nelliyampathy. Even though visited Idukki district several number of times. Never gets chance to visit Nelliyampathy once. Then comes delightful news about Aug 15 Independence day worldwide book of record rally by All India Riders Helpline Family (AIRHF). For long distance riders, AIRHF arranged Stay and meet-up at Nelliyampathy Le-Grande Hotel (one of the best hotel in Nelliyamlathy). They also arranged delicious good in Grace hotel. Grace hotel is small hotel in that area but offered delicious food with smile. The meetup and stay was arranged by KL-09 Palakkad Riding Club. They just nailed the hospitality. For the sum of 700 Rs they offered 3 times unlimited food and accommodation in best hotel. If you're planning to visit nelliyampathy it will be costly due to less number of accommodation facility as well as hidden untouched areas. Then surprisingly we spotted wild elephants 🐘 around 10 PM nearby stay area. The route to Nelliyampathy itself very pleasure. Lots of small falls all the way and beautiful dense trees on both sides. Lots of dangerous curves and erosion pathways are there. So be careful. Then this seethargundu point also superb view point and can accommodate at least 200 members at the time easily. We parked our 70+ bikes over there easily

The way to seethargundu view point from nelliyampathy government garden is really pathetic. Please make sure that your car wheels are in good condition before climbing up through the poabs estate to the view point. But the view is really worth all the hard work to reach there. There is a small outlet we can get tea snacks. Almost 33 km from nenmara town. 22 km from pothundi dam.

Visited Nelliyambathi seethargundu view point on Sunday in April. Comparatively a Lil rush felt . Paid parking facility available ,but park by own risk.there are a lot of monkeys roaming around so it may take our belongings. The route to nelliyambathi is good ,The road is well maintained but the road is too narrow after the hair pin bends it's somehow difficult to pass big vehicles at a time. Plastics are not allowed there but the place is filled with a lot of plastics. Visited in summer so didn't feel much low temperature there. If you are trying to visit reach the entry point before 3pm because the entry is 9-5Pm. The place looks so cool ,if you are visiting view point go with little expectations because the view point has a view off nelli maram and the view of palakkad.

  • 3/5 Robin J. 3 years ago on Google
It has a beautiful high rise view. But I think it doesn't worth considering the condition of the road to reach to that point. You can hardly spend 5 to 10 minutes at the spot since the area is not developed as a tourist spot hence you won't see a seating arrangements. There is no safe barriers on the edges eventhough we are walking close to the edges and you won't find even a safe place for a relaxing view of the beautiful valley after the long hard drive you make. So I don't recommend this place until and unless the concerns are addressed.

A beautiful viewpoint in Nelliyampathi inside Poabs estate. There's plenty of parking space at a nominal fee of INR 10.00 for bikes and 20.00 for 4 wheelers. The actual viewpoint is closed because of recent few accidents and suicide. Visitors can trek half a kilometre towards the viewpoint. There's a shop in the parking selling products from the estate.
