Would highly suggest steering clear of a hotel that illegally imprisons refugees for a quick buck. I've noticed they're now doing renovations, as I live in the area, probably trying to clear out all the bad energy from the months and months of detaining people in their hotel rooms and providing no basic human rights.

I like then Rome is spacious but the bathroom is tiny, especially the shower. Nothing much. Around the hotel. Service is just ok and average. Not impressed the whole bottle of water looks like tap Water refilled. The bed and bed sheet I love them. I got the room with panoramic view. A bit more , for the cleanliness is 4/10. I saw dirt and dust. I don’t feel clean and hygienic much.

Novotel Preston is a fairly good hotel with decent views and friendly reception staff. The rooms are a bit peculiar with a bathroom that felt like it was designed for people with no knees. Using the toilet was quite the squeeze for an average height person. Other than that, it was a fairly good experience overall.

Very nice hotel, staff are very friendly, good breakfast, we requested the late checkout and the accommodate it without any fuss... Most of the airline staff are staying in this hotel. During my stay, we have seen more than 3 different airline staff group... Our overall experience is very good... Will recommend my friends and families.... Parking facility available $20/- for overnight stay...

This place used to be an old hospital. They had converted into a hotel. I find the rooms are spacious and the beds so comfortable. If you’re looking for a place to stay for a night or two with comfort. This is the place. Woolworth just a stone throw away. You can find kebab around the corner. Location wise, train stop about 5 minutes walk. To the city of Melbourne about 17 stops via trams. For quicker option via trains or taxi.

Have recently stayed a couple of nights at this spacious, affordable and well located hotel. Friendly, attentive and knowledgeable staff 🥰 The Rooms are huge and clean, comfy beds, shower was amazing, coffee pod machine in the room and the Options for Room Service Menus and other features and facilities are found on the T.V.. Free parking, free wi-fi and the Buffet Breakfast was incredible! 😋😋 Can't wait for our return visit, highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Reception staff were helpful and friendly. Room was modern and nice however bathroom was very small and not at all practical, toilet was so close to the wall had to sit sideways. Water leaked out from shower into room onto carpet. Worst of all though was horrified by stains on sheet and towel. Couldn’t believe they would even be used! Paid $213.75 for a Thursday night stay.

The room is nice and big. The bathroom is ridiculously small. Over night menu : I asked for their chicken Ceasar wrap. It was served Ice cold. When asked for ketchup and mustard sauce. I was told that's a part of the restaurant hence cannot be served. I wonder who comes up with rules like these. There is not much around the hotel.

The room is very clean and the hotel is very nice with good ambience and excellent staff. Check in was very smooth and I'm sorry for not reviewing any service as I am not consuming anything from the hotel. Staff genuinely were kind and helpful. Good hygiene maintained. Thank you (:

The staff was very nice. Special shout out to Suman. She was very helpful and friendly with every encounter we had with her over multiple days. In my opinion she deserves a raise and if it was within my power to give her one, she would have it.

I did a tiktok on the cleanliness of the room, it is only because i am a cleaner that i can tell details were missed. Please note the bed was scrumptious and freshly made! Now the service & staff are impeccable 👌 Jaime in the breakfast restaurant went above and beyond for myself and other diners making sure there was coffee for us all!! Jaime; my extra strong skinny latte was delicious! Please not the breakfast is located outside the hotel in a seperate restaurant. Very helpful, kind pleasent staff that i encountered. This whole hotel is accessible, from showers rooms entry parking and facilities! & They are helpful. No spa's here but nesspresso machines in the room ,good toiletries, plush towels. Room service finished at 8.45pm ! Not 9 pm. Breakfast was great!

Very poor customer service, rude and unprofessional behaviour. I paid for upgraded facility, but I was provided with standard rooms. Mr Gaurav really tried to rip me off. I was compelled to do early check out. No complaint and feedback platform.i will not recommend my friend. Only Asian staff provided the best customer service and they were very professional and courteous. Miss Jodie hung up phone on me. I will suggest her to mind her own bussiness if other staff is serving the guest. I hope that wasn't the procedure she was following.

Great service. Stayed in the family room, which was a little dated but HUGE and very clean. Had everything we needed. Was disapointed parking wasn't included in room price but as it was a weekend there was plenty of parking on the street. Was also caught off guard that a bond was required as it wasn't mentioned at time of booking (online) and meant I had to mess around transferring money during check in.

This hotel was chosen by my employer and it was the first time I've been here. I've found the personnel to be very friendly and helpful both at reception and in the restaurant. Food was ok, but as said, the staff there was very nice, great service. The room is spacious and clean. The bathroom is very small, but I don't mind it. The real issue is that this building must have been built before there was regulation in place for thermal and acoustic requirements. The whole facade is single glazed and the temperature in the room fluctuates greatly between day and night. This is especially true for the West facing rooms, like mine (#508). Having said that, the AC works, so you can adapt. What can't be fixed is the noise. The noise is unbearable and in the rooms right on top of the main road like mine there's no hope of sleeping. Cars, trams and trains passed by all night and very early in the morning. I've barely slept. We're likely to come back here again for work, but I'll make sure to ask for a room on the other side of the building otherwise I'll have to go somewhere else.

Went for a youth conference with friends. Really amazing staff and service that could deliver anything you asked for. I asked for a shaving kit and called for it and they responded instantly. The hotel rooms are average in size which is pretty normal. Fridge, iron, good bathroom and a good TV with streaming services. The food across the hotel was really good and room service was quite good. Pretty boujee if you ask me.

Stayed in King room 6th floor. Didn’t get city view. Noisy as sirens going to nearby Austin Hospital. Reception staff rushed me at check in, not particularly attentive. Won’t stay again.

Excellent hotel. Friendly staff with excellent parking. Short walk to park for kids with a BBQ if needs be. The hotel is impressive, stylish, clean and warm. Very enjoyable with no discomfort walking in or out. Is also very disability accessible with very few tight places or levels to traverse.

Expensive parking (that needs some work on entry and exit gates to make that a smoother process), overpriced breakfast and an impressively small bathroom. However, room was clean and the bed was decent so ticked the most important boxes

Rooms are neat & clean , spacious . However , Bathroom is quiet small.Espresso machine ,kettle , iron machine are provided . Bell Train station is just 5 mins walk.

I cannot believe how small the bathrooms are. There is no place for you to turn inside the bathroom. There is no shower curtain or any other divider between the shower area and the rest of the bathroom, meaning the entire bathroom gets wet when you shower. The room itself was clean and reasonably comfortable however the small bathrooms make the stay uncomfortable.

Had dinner Novotel , The Stampton restaraunt 24/09/23 with a group of 8. This is not our first time there as we have been a number of times for lunch and dinner. But on this occasion the food was absolutly shocking! Our aperitivo and main meals we served at the same time. What a joke. Our food was between stone cold to luke warm. As for my scotch fillet well the chef that night has no idea what the differnce is between well done to raw. We were not impressed at all!

Rooms were a dated, bathroom was tiny but the shower was huge? Shower head dripped all night long. Had to ring reception a couple of times for items that weren't in the room that should've been (e.g. cutlery, wine glasses, sanitary bags) and the receptionist sighed and had attitude. Location was good for public transport to the cbd but still not the best suburb, felt a bit unsafe at night and not a great deal around in terms of bars or nice restaurants. Update: room was booked under my partners name, please advise an email address for me to contact you on to investigate.

Staff were really friendly. Room was great. The rain shower and the nespresso machine in the room was a big plus for me. Food was excellent. Only downside was location for me to the places I had to go.

I love this hotel, I have stayed here many times and already have another booking for next month . I have always experienced friendly service, a clean and spacious room, great quality toiletries in the bathroom and amazing food at the restaurant. It was David who greeted us at reception when we stayed Friday the 27th of October. Thankyou for our wonderful and pleasant stay

Excellent place though it was abit cold for me but the staff was really nice, they offered me a room heater which was perfect compared to other hotels I've been to. The guy at the reception was kind enough to explain to me how I was to move from the hotel to the nearest shopping centre. God bless yah 🙏 Though the shower was small, everything else was perfect 🥰

The staff are at the Mantra are some of the nicest people I've met. Always saying g'day and always smiling. Very keen for a chat and to ensure your day was good, and your stay is good. The room was brilliant, comfy bed, ensuite was great. Highly recommend staying here.

Close to a 5 rating in some ways but little inconsistencies prevent this. The big strength is the staff, especially in The Stampton restaurant where the wonderful Helen sets a great example for her team...special mention for Suman too.

Having stayed here previously, I knew the hotel and the facilities available. However, they are currently renovating... There are disruptions around the hotel, the parking and in facilities. The restaurants are closed, wifi doesn't work properly and there are constant trades on site. My room however was recently renovated and was very nice, and much appreciated. Service is still very good from staff, but there are very limited services at the hotel at the present time. It will be very impressive when completed, I'm sure.

Booked months in advance only for them to change their pricing the day before the booking without notice and demand double the amount I had booked for. My $400 stay turned into a $800 stay. Though that additional money was refunded on checkout, I had to cancel a majority of my plans that weekend because I could no longer afford them. It wouldn't have been so outrageous had the rooms been decent, but mine and many other friends who booked in for the weekend had filthy rooms. Dirty brown-stained towels, smashed mirrors, broken door handles, questionable body fluids on walls and carpet. Never staying again. Plenty of better hotels in the area.

Room cleaning a bit sporadic was there for thirty days for work and had to keep going to reception because the room hadn’t been serviced properly. It’s in a good location for local bars and restaurants 10 to fifteen min walk. Food in the hotel very limited. On the whole I enjoyed my stay

This place looks impressive up to the lobby ...beyond that, it's an absolute dump ! Rooms stink , toilets broken, no cutlery, crockery or cooking utensils. Carpet is rotting and stinks . In the laundry , no machine or dryer works ! . Don't waste your money or your time. This place is such a dissapointment !!!

  • 3/5 Joel 2 years ago on Google
The room is very clean and up to date. They make you pay for parking when you stay $20 per night. It would be nice if it had more sugar and coffee in the room.

  • 2/5 Amy L. 2 years ago on Google
Pros - helpful front-desk staff. first room assigned to me stinks of mold and unacceptably stuffy (also has a weird pillar in the middle of the room ruining the overall aesthetics) and requested for a room change which was readily obliged - spacious lift size - plenty of onsite parkings Cons - carpets could use some cleaning - water marks and stains on the bed side table, coffee table and kitchen bench - dim lightings in the room - complimentary wine bottle (I believe part of a promotional package) was not offered

Beware don't be fooled by the photos. I was under the impression the rooms are what's in the images "NOT" totally different. I'm very disappointed and feel ripped off. This is FALSE advertising!!!!

Worst novotel I've stayed in, cost $190 and the room is so dirty and inconvenient. I don't usually leave bad reviews but this one just can't justify the money spent. Horrible.

The worst experience I've every had. Check in tired and hungry. Decide the give the hotel restaurant a go, offered water (nevervturned up)20 minutes for my first burger, looked great, still raw and frozen in the middle, 20 mins for the refire, looked even better, offered a glass of wine (never poured), raw again (although a little warmer), then to cap it off , 25 minutes trying to get a refund, too late and hangry now to go trawling a strange city for something to eat. I must've been really bad as I'm going to bed without dinner!
