I have gone to this venue to play karaoke with a friend on the 28th of December 2022. In this review I will start with some good points, some of the bad points which should be addressed and how I felt. Some of the good points of this venue are: - The attendant was nice and polite. They checked us in and walked us to our private room with no hassles at all. - The price for weekday being $30 for 4 hours with a drink included is really good in value. Much better than the other KBOX venues. - The song list is very comprehensive including multiple languages. - The small rooms are big enough to fit small groups with 4 microphones. Some of the major issues which I really would like to see addressed before coming back are the following: - Most Japanese song titles are incorrectly labelled as the song’s series, this is a major issue as this makes searching by song title not possible, and since a series can have hundreds of songs, the list of songs will all have the same name. The best you can do in this situation is to remember the entire cast in a song you want to sing and play though all those songs until you find the song you were looking for. These songs do have the correct title on the MV at the start. This issue becomes a huge time waster and cannot be done while someone else is singing. English songs do not have this issue as far as I have seen. - The karaoke system is glitchy at times, we once had an English song freeze and switch to a random Korean song, then back to the song we were singing. - The karaoke system is extremely slow, volume changes and playlist changes can take upwards of 3 seconds to take effect, and no feedback is shown to the user. Especially for a system that is local, this is unacceptable and only makes the first issue mentioned much slower to filter through. Some minor issues I have come across is the keyboard on the screen in the room is slow and is English only. This issue can be overcome by using a mobile phone with the proper language keyboard, and the quality of the MV are really bad, basically VHS quality. Would be nice to see this fixed, but is nowhere near as big of an issue as the major issues mentioned before. Overall, I had fun at singing at this venue, and it is my second time ever playing karaoke. So far this would have to be the best venue I have been for karaoke. I am giving this review 3 stars due to the multiple major issues. If any of these get fixed, I would be happy to update my review.

The afternoon session from 2-6pm is very good value. The food and drink is reasonably priced and really good! They also put our group in a good sized room so we had plenty of space. Great song selection. Sometimes there isn't an accompanying music video but the stock footage that appears is always quite funny so it is still enjoyable to watch.

My 11 year old son did karaoke here to celebrate his birthday with a couple of friends. They prepared their playlist on the way to the venue, and were quickly singing away when we arrived. Three hours wasn't long enough from them - they loved the song selection, big screens and mics. It was just a really fun experience, they said "one of the best days of their life"! The food and drinks were all great, and the service was fast and friendly. We will definitely be back.

we've come here a few times before, but today the lady who served us at the reception was so rude for no reason??!? i didn't get her name but she didn't let our friend go to the toilet before the session started and made us pay before we were all ready (it wasn't even busy) :/ usually the staff here are super nice so we were super shocked T^T other than that, the experience was great as usual, but i think u should teach this staff how to do customer service properly :((

Nice atmosphere and good rooms. However, the microphone (it's definitely not bad), but could definitely be slightly louder and more reliable. The price is on the cheaper side compared to a lot of the other ones in Melbourne. There is also one free drink provided which is alright.

I was so disappointed that, now you don't have much Japanese songs. Apps are not simple to use for elderly ppl. My mum and aunt loved going there before, with previous Japanese room system. But now, it is impossible for them to go there by themselves. So sad....

Tbh i would like to give zero star. We booked three rooms for 18:00-21:00. We arrived at 17:45. The staff said one booking of the rooms (one room) was not processed and shown in their system. But we did receive the confirmation email of all the three rooms. We were arranged into just two rooms. The staff allowed the former group of clients to come out late and let us go into our room at 18:12, but didnt allow us to have 12 minutes for extension. The way the staff arranged our karaoke booking was so disappointing.

Loved my experience here for Karaoke. Only 30bucks pp for 3 hrs on a Saturday night is a bargain. Let along this price includes a meal or drink. I chose to have the pork belly noodle. So nice! They do have a large variety of songs However there were a few songs i was after that they don't have. Overall good value for money.

Great place to sing your heart out. Clean rooms, friendly staff, and decent pricing (in my opinion). For $35/head, that includes use of their Karaoke room and either a free drink or meal. If they're not fully booked, they can extend your booking for $75/hour. 4 out of 5 stars for now as they can still increase their pool of songs.

Sometimes it skip songs for no apparent reason, and one song is missing a long section of lyrics. The music library is not sufficient, lack of new release songa, and non mainstream kpop songs are not available. But overall is good. Fries and squid rings are delicious, recommended.

Amazing family-friendly venue for a karaoke celebration with great vibes, and friendly staff is definitely a plus. You will have a variety of songs (multilingual and cross-generational playlists) to select for your SHOW! Definitely check this place out for a fun experience. I’ll 100% revisit this venue.

I couldn't speak for 10 mins after we were done so you know it was great. Went to do Karaoke in forever with some friends of mine and was told to check out this place. We opted for the 6-9pm karaoke+ food experience and had an absolute blast. Ordered some snacks and food and enjoyed the room which was perfect for us. Service was friendly and the popcorn chicken was succulent! I intend on making this a regular hang for us when we want to do karaoke again. However just an FYI, the Mike on the stage that was fixed in place didn't work so that was the only disappointment because I would have liked to get even more dramatic if possible.

absolutely horrific service by staff, abusive, rude and ridiculous in their security. They claimed all these terms and conditions and when we questioned the validity they could not produce the documentation to back their claim- certainly proving that they were baseless

F: "8/10 but only because it didn't have Nikkori Chousetai. (Kanaria and DECO*27 saved the day)." P: "Should've gotten a milkshake, but I enjoyed it." F: "I stole everyone's drinks, also."

Child friendly venue with a variety of songs. A few songs we selected into the playlist, but they didn't play. Maybe a minor system issue, but we enjoyed the other songs. The drinks were tasty as well.

I have been to your place constantly as the price and duration was pretty fair in Melbourne terms. However, the collection of Chinese songs is a bit limited. It is strange that someone as famous as Jacky Cheung only has 2 songs available in your library. Hopefully this improves, thanks!

Fun night out with friends, good food, drinks and friendly service. The whole venue has a great community vibe with the board game cafe section in full swing, and no alcohol keeps things chill. Highly recommend.

The room was too cold we couldn’t stay for 3 hours maybe that was the aim😅 otherwise good selection of songs, the wired microphone sounds the best, the venue is nice, toilets are clean, they should wipe down microphone after each clients the attendant only rushed to wipe table down and clean up mess, overall fun experience

The rooms were the perfect cosy size but not stuffy at all! Comfy seats and very good quality microphones, 2 TVs so everyone in the room could see the lyrics. Awesome songs and delicious food. Sound protection was great, I couldn't hear any of the other people in other rooms. All together an astounding experience. Will come again!

You can hear the voices in the walls and its real for once. Singing a little piece of heaven by avenged sevenfold to stock imagery of Rome was an experience. Hyper compressed songs ripped from a 90's japanese karaoke system it looked like half the time haha. The janky tablet would raise and lower the pitch at random even when no one touched it. Still, got a free round of drinks and had fun.

Really great place to hang out with friends. Comes with a free drink for each person when you book a room. Would love to come back. However one of the mics weren't working, and some of the song choices were lacking. Otherwise really great experience

Used to be my favourite place but unfortunately the DAM system is no longer in use. As someone who relied heavily on the DAM system for Japanese songs, it was a huge loss. All I hope is that their international system improves so browsing for songs is easier and more categorised, there are no unnecessary duplicates of songs/artists, and it's no longer using songs ripped directly from the internet with incorrect lyrics. More of the recent songs don't even play at all (e.g. 夜が明ける, Hypnosis Mic songs, はるまきごはん songs etc.). Rooms and seats are comfortable with heating/cooling being controlled, but the cordless mics seem to have patchy reception or can cut in and out if batteries aren't regularly changed.

Really cute cafe karaoke location in Melb CBD! My friends and I have frequented this place for awhile, and they have not disappointed! The affordable day prices and cute board game ambience is a big plus. Would recommend! Although don't forget to book for spots because they can be super busy! :)

What a hidden gem! One of the best karaoke places I have visited so far. Their rooms are nice and cosy (perfect size for a party of 2) and I loved that there were 2 TV screens!! You can easily add music from your phone and control the playlist from there, which was super convenient (no books or interactive screens to rely on). And their song selection!! I was over the moon when I found songs from my favourite Japanese artist (I thought I'd only ever be able to sing their songs when I returned to Japan again) and they had almost every other song I could think of. They even had my favourite drink!! I can hardly ever get a matcha latte unless I specifically go to a matcha cafe, but they had that as well as heaps of other great drink options. I also thought we got great value for our money. The staff were lovely as well <3 Will definitely be visiting again!!

Lots of fun, lovely staff, great price (especially compared with some of the places). Was missing a few of the more niche songs we were looking for, and a few of the lyrics were out of sync, but in general it was great. Highly recommend, would definitely go back.

LOVED IT!!! The venue itself is really great, the staff are super friendly and awesome, there's fantastic food and drinks available, which they BRING IN for you. AND on top of that, the booth is really nice, clean and comfortable, the interface with the app works really well and has amazing functionality - eg, you can change the key of your song - and the selection of songs is really incredible - we were pretty amazed with what they had on the list. The price for booking per person is also really reasonable and the best part is you can book for the whole evening! We didn't think we'd be in there from 6-11 pm but it's so addictive, we honestly could have stayed even longer!! A really nice, well functioning and not grotty karaoke experience that I would highly recommend. 😊 Will definitely be back!

Marche (operated under KBOX Cafe Karaoke Private Room with a seperate Google review account) has a separate menu for public holiday and still charges 15% on top of it!?!? Owner should revisit and update your menu i.e., either have one menu and apply surcharge or have a seperate weekend/ PH menu with prices inclusive of surcharges so that customers are not misled. Staff wasn't very helpful when asked, simply shrugged and said 'sorry it has always been this way'?1? Also you get one free drink but meals are not included in the room booking cost (per head) like it used to be. Ended up paying $65 per person with roughly 1 meal + 1 drink per person. Probably not worth it if you're only there for a couple hours.

We come here often, and the service has always been great! The song list is amazing, featuring selections from many languages, so there's always something for everyone. The team is friendly, and there's a variety of food and drink options which all taste great!

This place was full of buzz. We went for karaoke and the customer service was exceptional. However 2 of the microphones didn't work. Otherwise the service and food and karaoke were all brilliant. We sang from 2.30pm -6pm and it was only $28 pp. Would definitely come back again.

Great family friendly location with a good range of songs that the whole family can sing along to. Had a great time as always though it is suggested that more updated English songs be included. You may wish to include some popular songs from recent kid's movies e.g. from Encanto and Turning Red. Also we found most of the songs from the Greatest Showman were available but could not find the song This Is Me. Other than that this remains our favourite karaoke place and we'll definitely be back.

Good venue to go to play karaoke with your friend and family the most interesting thing about this place is you can't find drinks with alcohol, but you can enjoy food, hot drinks and cocktails free- of alcohol. The rooms to enjoy karaoke have a nice sound and have a good equipment!!!

They had a good range of songs, and the length and free drink included in our session for just $30 each was great value. All the technology and arrangement of the room worked well bar one standing microphone that we couldn’t get to work.

I can't say much about the food, as I haven't tried it but I've had the drinks and their amazing. My friends and I enjoyed this place so much as our first group hangout. They had a ton of amazing and fun songs to sing too although I felt that the prices were a bit much (Afternoon session was $35 per person) but my friends and I are only Highschool students. Overall we enjoyed our time here and we will definitely be returning
