The moonlight tour was fabulous, starting with a waterside tour of docklands before heading up the Yarra with darkness descending and the city lights reflecting off the water. Our guides Daniel and James were friendly, funny, reassuring and informative. Highly recommended!

We did the 2 hour City Sights Kayak tour. Our guides are super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Loved learning bits of history of the Melbourne city while kayaking in the serenity of Yarra river. Everything was well-prepped and we felt we’re in good hands. What impressed me the most was seeing the main guide picking up plastic bottles from the river to dispose them properly later. It wasn’t just a job, but he really showed interest and care. 🚣‍♂️👏

My partner and I had the most incredible experience kayaking through the Yarra River with them! Great sunset views and yummy food were the perfect combination for our date. Moreover, the guise, Gus, shared very interesting facts about Melbourne's history and made the experience more memorable with his jokes.

We had the most amazing experience tonight kayaking on the Yarra with Daniel from Kayak Melbourne. Everything was very well organised from.our booking to explaining what we needed to bring and Daniel made us feel very welcome and explained all details we needed for a safe and enjoyable paddle. Daniel told us so much about the river and was able to answer so many of our questions about the buildings and the city and told us some great stories. We would highly recommend the city sundowner tour as you experience the sunset and we had the moon rising in front of us on our return paddle after yummy fish and chips from our kayak. We are experienced paddlers and still found this paddle adventurous and fun. If you haven't paddles before we are confident Daniel and the other staff would be able to guide you through a wonderful experience. There is no better way to see Melbourne than from the river at sunset. Thankyou Daniel for giving us memories and an adventure.

Perfect Timing A very well organized and professional tour that gave a great insight into the perspective of Melbourne life from the water. It was a bustling Saturday night in the city. We were blessed with fireworks and the Casino burners at 9pm. The kayaks were very sturdy with all safety and technique briefings thoroughly explained. The fish and chips were a nice touch. If you are visiting Melbourne or a local you will take something wonderful away from the night.

Paul assisted me in organizing a custom kayak trip from Fairfield Boathouse to Studley Park Boathouse for a Bucks party. Paul was extremely easy to deal with, provided great equipment (plus bottled water) and ensured everyone had a fun and unique experience. I thought the whole thing was great value and will definitely do it again!

It wa one of the spectacular experience in my life. We did this for my Husband’s birthday and this was my first time being on a Kayak! Sam was an amazing leader who gave us clear instruction and was patient with all the first timers. Thank you SAM! The food option is great and it’s a very long journey and enjoy every minute! Go when the weather is good. Everyone should do this and get the amazing experience.

It’s a great experience to paddle around the Yarra. The booking it’s easy, it’s a very fair price for the service, the views are stunning and the instructor it’s lovely and so friendly. Even with a thunderstorm alert, they were constantly checking with me the weather updates and we were able to paddle and watch the sunset on the water. Definitely one of the best, if not the best date I’ve ever had in my life. If you have the chance to book, do it without a second thought.

The moonlight tour was gifted to me for Christmas. I would really recommend this as a gift for someone, it was really well organized as well as fun. Relaxing, easy day on the river with Daniel. A unique and special aspect of the city. Wear a hat. Sunscreen, water and sanitiser provided. Bags locked away safely and kayaks super safe.

I booked for my extended family and we had a great experience. We had to change our booking a few times due to COVID and Kayak Melbourne were very responsive and helpful. The kayaks were very stable and easy to use and the trip along the Yarra at night was magical and passing all the people partying on party boats and at venues along the way was great fun. This is the most beautiful experience and absolutely worth it. The guide Paul is amazing, the whole tour was smooth and he ensured we all had a good time. I am absolutely in love with this tour and wish to do one again at another time of the year.

Unique, gorgeous views of the city. Just about anyone can do this paddle, and it's absolutely worth it! The boats are broad and stable, so you'll have no worries about getting in or out, and you're not going swimming. It's a fun, beautiful way to see Melbourne, paddling under the Bolte Bridge and past the Crown fireball show. The guides have been doing this long enough to have lots of fun anecdotes and local info. Ours, Matt and James, were lovely. Can't recommend highly enough, for locals or visitors.

We booked the moonlit tour and it was absolutely fantastic. We lucked out with the weather being near perfect which made for a gorgeous time on the water. The guides Daniel and Wayne were very knowledgeable about the area and waterways and were very personable. You don't need experience as the kayaks are very stable and you get some instruction before you go. We didn't feel rushed to get anywhere and were able to take photos and cruise a bit along the water, while making it to the fire display at Crown perfectly on time. Would highly recommend for anyone who wants something a little different to do in Melbourne.

Amazing experience, our guides were lovely, very helpful and full of great information. Considering we were quite nervous about the activity, they built our confidence with a caring nature. Highly recommended, professional and friendly team! We booked a daytime session for 5th Jan for our Melbourne trip, but the weather forecast said it would be stormy on that day, so Paul emailed providing several options including rescheduling, refunding and voucher. I replied to reschedule and they confirmed in no time, very impressive. During the session, Paul and Mickey guided us really well, and we enjoyed it so much the whole time! Can't wait to come back 😄

What a nice evening! The kayak are easy to maneuver for newbies. The food is good and fun to eat in a kayak. The staff is very knowledgeable about the city so the tour is quite educational too. Very relaxed atmosphere, very cruisy.

I booked a moonlight kayak tour with dinner. Our guides Matt and Gus were very professional and knowledgeable. It made the tour so easy! I highly recommend this experience for anyone regardless if your a Melbourne local or not.

A great way to see Melbourne from a 2 seater kayak. The health and safety instructions were well presented by Aiden and Mickey(??) on 18th March....and although we were one of the older couples, felt comfortable getting onto the water. The control of the kayak took a bit of time to get used to, but the pace was good so nothing to worry about. The fish and chips were OK, but not great. Certain landmarks were presented by Aiden and were very interesting. As the group of 10 kayaks were spread out sometimes it was difficult to hear what was said. We got to the Melbourne fireballs in good time and a different experience from the river. The distance was longer than expected and my bum was sore at the end!!! A few drinks after with Louise and Ian (kayak buddies) helped. However a good experience and would recommend.

Overall great experience and kayak trip. They had cool steering in the boat and did a good briefing before hand. We did go out during a busy time on the river with all the junior rowers Saturday morning. But overall it’s great way to see the city, yet I wish there was more info about the city and river.

Would definitely recommend especially for first timers. The guides have a bag full of information about Melbourne and the whole experience of rowing through the yarra during sunset is a delight. The kayaking is for a good 2hr and the dinner is fish n chips 👌🏽 It was hard work but definitely something I would be doing again in the future.

It was an enjoyable evening spent on the Yarra River. We kayaked for a reasonable amount of time, about 2 hours. Dinner was fish and chips from one of the restaurants along the river and it was quite yummy. The guides were chill and humorous. The only thing I would improve on would be for the guides to gather us around before telling us fun facts about the city because I couldn't really hear him clearly half the time. Otherwise, I would definitely recommend this activity!

Went out on Friday night (3 March 2023), perfect weather conditions with a slight breeze. Daniel and his colleague gave some insightful commentary on some of the landmarks as we passed them. My partner and I had an awesome time. A very unique way of seeing Melbourne. We'd highly recommend it to everyone!

Had such a wonderful morning. Great to start out with the yoga and then move onto the kayaking. Our guide, Imad, was just great. Well educated on some great history facts and an all round funny guy. He definitely added to our experience. Would highly recommend.
