This is a wonderful service for our community and stocks lots of lovely food along with other items. Unfortunately some members of staff don't seem to hold the community spirit that should be held to work in this kind of environment. We went as a group of women from a local refuge who are all dealing with financial hardship plus emotional turmoil after finding ourselves in a situation we certainly didn't choose. We were shown what foods where free and others that you pay for. It was quite embarrassing for some of the ladies as they've never had to do this before, it certainly wasn't helped by one certain staff member who was tutting, shaking her head in disgust and saying "there are other people who need this food you know" making out we were being greedy!! Now this certainly isn't the attitude I expect from this type of organisation, being made to feel unwelcome and hearing such negative comments. I sincerely hope that lady doesn't find herself in the same situation as we are..

I just want to say how fantastic the Neo centre has been for me & my son through very difficult times especially Ann & Sarah who go above and beyond with support and kindness. I visited the centre on Friday to use the community shop as I'm enduring hard times at the moment .. Unfortunately I encountered the 2 elderly ladies that volunteer there regularly and was made to feel very unwelcome again from them both as was another lady who was behind me. As soon as I saw them I wanted to leave as they make me feel very uncomfortable with each visit I've made. Their both abrupt, rude and show not one ounce of respect in what for me & I imagine others, is a very difficult situation. I cannot understand why these 2 women are even there. I became quite tearful and upset, luckily Ann & Sarah were there to help out with a lovely cuppa and Ann collected a bag of food for me.. I feel these ladies need to be spoken to or go on a course that deals with human kindness..

Not a lot in when we visited, but managed to get a few bits. Was much better (stock wise) pre covid, but now pay what you can. I paid the suggested donation.
