First time hubby and I tried the restaurant and will be the LAST!! We both ordered the 2 Meat Meal. Pulled Pork and Brisket. Cashier/order gentleman asked us chopped or sliced Brisket, we asked for sliced. Got chopped anyway. Went home excited to try the food. Opened containers and noticed immediately food wasn't even luke warm. During the 2 mile drive home i wondered why i didn't feel any heat as I held the bag. TOTALLY disappointed didn't even look appetizing. Not to mention the fat that was with the meat. I will venture to say more fat on brisket then actual meat. Pulled pork looked like it wasn't even cooked thoroughly. I took pics and if i can figure it out I'll add them. The entree was just thrown in, not appetizing. The corn bread we paid EXTRA for had some lil pieces of something that were extremely hard. As far as my okra side it was a ridiculously large amount, like overboard. Yet again didn't taste good either. The waffle fries barely any... not consistent with side orders. Do not recommend this place. So hubby just called them and they basically said that meat cools down immediately AFTER leaving the block. That's FUNNY our son ate at Famous Dave's brought us left overs and not only did the meat look appetizing, it was DELICIOUS and of GOOD color. Brisket was actually sliced . Tried to let them make it right tonight, but offered HALF off next visit. Dude were NOT coming back. Should've made it right tonight.

I recently visited Dickey's Barbecue Pit, and I must say, it was a highly disappointing experience. From the moment I walked in, I could tell this was not going to be a pleasant dining experience. First and foremost, the food left much to be desired. I ordered the brisket meal, and it was dry, tough, and lacked any real flavor. The meat tasted like it had been sitting out for hours, and it was far from the juicy, smoky barbecue I had hoped for. The sides were equally unimpressive; the fries were OK but the macaroni and cheese were gloopy and tasteless. It felt like I was eating reheated leftovers from a mediocre barbecue joint. The price was too high for this quality of food. The portion sizes were also disappointing. For the price I paid, I expected a more substantial meal, but what I received was meager at best. The value for money just wasn't there, especially considering the quality of the food. The atmosphere in the restaurant was lackluster, to say the least. The interior felt outdated and in need of a serious makeover. It lacked any cozy or inviting vibe that one might expect from a barbecue restaurant. The seating was uncomfortable, and the overall ambiance was unappealing. Customer service was another major letdown. The staff seemed disinterested and unfriendly. I'm 90% the cook was as high as he could possible be. It took an unnecessarily long time to place my order, and there was no effort made to make customers feel welcome or appreciated. It was as if I were an inconvenience to them. Additionally, cleanliness was an issue. The dining area and restroom were not well-maintained, and I couldn't help but notice some hygiene concerns. To make matters worse, Dickey's Barbecue Pit seemed to lack any sort of identity or unique selling point. There are countless other barbecue joints in the area that offer far better food, service, and atmosphere. In conclusion, I would not recommend Dickey's Barbecue Pit to anyone looking for a satisfying barbecue experience. The subpar food, unappealing ambiance, lackluster service, and overall lack of value for money make it a regrettable dining choice. Save your time and taste buds and seek out a different barbecue establishment for a more enjoyable meal.

The restaurant itself had nice decor. However, the food was disappointing. Specifically the ribs were too salty (not savory), the Texas Toast was soft (not crunchy), the sides were too small, and we couldn't even finish the spinich because it was distasteful, last but not least the brisket was dry. The food was over thirty dollars without the tip. I hope the image captures the size of the containers, they are suspiciously small. The sides containers were comparable to sauce containers. The only thing we liked was the coleslaw which tastes like KFC's and cornbread which tastes like KFC's just about 1/2 the helping size.

Stopped in for lunch. They were really friendly. The place needs a deep clean. Base of tables, windows, front door, trash receptacles all need to be scrubbed. The table tops are sticky, replace your disinfectant with something that doesn't leave a residue. Gentleman working was nice. It would be nice to have some seating in the back by the arcade if you don't want to sit out in the open.

We've tried this place twice in the past month, once for takeout and once for delivery, and they knocked it out of the park both times! Perfect brisket that would take me hours to make at home. Delicious sides (we did macaroni and cheese, okra, and potato casserole) that really hit the spot. It's so refreshing to find a restaurant with food that's fresh, and that always seems to come with everything we ordered and nothing missing. All the other restaurants in town could learn from this place, as it has been perfection both times. Instant favorite for our family!

The food is pretty good it smells awesome in there. I will say I wish they would learn how to properly cook the pulled pork. It’s super Duper amazingly over cooked. Yes I know it’s barbecue and pulled pork goes to 195° but I know what I’m talking about

When I first got my plate I thought it was very little food then I actually started to eat it and I realize it was just enough not too little to feel like I want more and not too much where I feel overstuffed.the gentleman that took my order was very helpful as as it was my first time at this place have some really good barbecue though I've had better this place is really close to my house and is pretty good what highly recommended.

I'd love to give Dickey's 5 stars - the restaurant is clean, the staff was kind and courteous and the food is good. We ordered two two-meat plates with sides and everything was fresh and tasty. I'm taking a star off for one reason - our sliced brisket was sliced incorrectly, giving it more of a pot roast, stringy texture, instead of typical sliced brisket. It seems that whoever was slicing the brisket (we like sliced better than chopped) just didn't get the memo to slice against the grain.
