Cafe Coffee shop Market

😠 I had been looking at this place for a while now. Seen the reviews and decided to give them a try. When I walked in the older lady at the counter seemed instantly irritated and unfriendly. Not warming at all. Asked what was a great drink and she barely wanted to talk to me. She was VERY low energy.... People often mention good, coffee, service, great, love, delicious, atmosphere, nice, vegan, amazing,

I had been looking at this place for a while now. Seen the reviews and decided to give them a try. When I walked in the older lady at the counter seemed instantly irritated and unfriendly. Not warming at all. Asked what was a great drink and she barely wanted to talk to me. She was VERY low energy. Then when I recieved my drink it looked NOTHING like I expected or seen on the photos. I asked if I could have a glass she said no because of covid. I’m extremely confused about this place. Won’t be returning. Poor customer service and disappointing experience.

I came to this restaurant because I wanted something healthy and delicious. I looked up something near by and the reviews on this place convinced me to come...well let me say they definitely did not disappoint. I ordered a Morning Glory and it was exactly that, a glorious morning after that meal! Definitely will be back, thank you for the amazing food! - One happy repeat customer. 😊

Cute place, very chic. Loved how it stood out from other eateries. The BEST Chai Latte I've ever had (made with oat milk 😉) food was delicious. The chef even came out to make sure we were enjoying our meal. Very friendly and caring staff. Our waitress was awesome! Great place.

Food was good but the service was TERRIBLE. From the second I walked in she had this irritated look on her face and then said I have to have a mask to be there. I found it interesting that two white women came in right behind me neither of which wore mask and she didn’t say anything to them. I have never been there before so I wanted to know what the specials/items were is she just putting me to the menu. I worked in hospitality for over five years and I can tell you she did not make me feel comfortable or welcomed in that space. They seem to be very open to LGBT but I wonder how they actually feel about their black customers. Also the fact they don’t allow indoor seating… STILL… is ridiculous. And the chairs outside are horrible. Sadly the food was actually pretty good but the experience was so bad I will never return.

Enjoyable independent coffee shop. Staff friendly and knowledgeable. They serve Big Shoulders and Metropolises coffee Roasters (excellent coffee). Enjoyed a Cortado, regret not getting a sandwich, they look yummy.

Lady at the register did not make me feel welcome at all, got a cold vibe from her , I got the morning breakfast that came with a soggy tiny little slice of wheat toast, half a tiny sausage patty? eggs and potatoes were decent… not coming back.

The grilled cheese is amazing! I got a side of tater tots with, they're so good; definitely worth the price. The atmosphere is lovely 🙌

Yesterday was my first visit to this cafe in a year or so. I felt so welcomed by the two workers there. I ordered a small vanilla cappuccino as I usually do when I visit cafes. One reason for this is because I am a coffee connoisseur and know that a well-made cappuccino is hard to come by, but when done properly it tastes amazing! My cappuccino was made perfectly yesterday and today when I visited this cafe. Thank you to the staff. I hope that you and owner remember this, “You don’t hire for skills, you hire for attitude. You can always teach skills.” ― Simon Sinek

This place is a hidden gem. My husband and I love this coffee shop. It's in the heart of downtown Homewood right by the Metra. The owner is very nice, and her shop is so cozy with lots of small business made products to choose from while you wait on your coffee to be made.

The BLT was fantastic as were the veggie chips. I went at 1130 and it was not busy. It felt like I was in a small town diner. It was very quaint. I would definitely go back.

Came here with my two friends a few days ago, my friend had to use the bathroom so she asked the woman at the counter(not sure if she’s the owner or just a worker, she was an older woman with white hair) if they had a bathroom available and the woman rudely responded that they were only available for customers. I totally understand that policy, however the woman said it in an extremely rude manner, and I don’t think we showed any indication that we were not going to buy anything so the rudeness was uncalled for. The rest of the interaction while we ordered was similar, she just didn’t make us feel welcome at all. I’m not usually the type to complain about things like this at all, but the random hostility was just strange. Other than that the coffee was decent and the place is cute but I’m not sure if I’ll ever return.

Such a cute local cafe! Items for vegans like me and everything eaters like my partner. The decor is warm and inviting, eclectic artwork on the walls, local goods available throughout. Oh, and a beautifully designed bookshelf near the front is worth copying for a honey-do list! I wish we could have stayed longer but there isn’t indoor seating due to Covid restrictions. We’ll be back!

Without a doubt, one of the nicest cafes in the south suburbs. My all-time favorite breakfast sandwich is the grilled cheese with tofu scramble. Do yourself a favor and go ahead and get this sandwich right now; your taste senses will be eternally thankful.

These people can cook! My breakfast was well seasoned, the eggs were awesome (and seasoned) & the chicken sausage are like no other. Even the jelly/fruit spread appears to be homemade (it appears to be) & it was good! I’ll definitely be going back!

I went here today because the first time I came the food was really good. The problem today is that I ordered a breakfast meal and a side of grits. All was good except for the grits. They were extremely salty and I was unable to eat it.

Hard finding healthy options when you’re out on the road, which is why I really appreciate this place and their food. Discovered them on one of my lunch breaks and I’m glad I gave them a try. Very nice and welcoming little spot. Food does not disappoint.

I’m a traveler. This warm, welcoming shop uses an aeropress to make a good cup of coffee. I love their vegan pastries and the staff are so kind.

UPDATE: Redbird Cafe really brought moments of joy to our household with their family meal deliveries ON BIKE! My whole family watches and waves from the door like Santa arrived. We are truly grateful. Our world has seen some horrible times with COVID. Thank you for being our fireflies in the darkness. My wife and I went here for our anniversary. Delicious healthful food with a quiet and warm environment. It is also very LGBTQ friendly. We'll definitely be back.

Nice little cafe with some unusual brunch offerings. Some things on the menu weren't available. This is a "slow food" place, which is appreciated, but that doesn't mean the service should be as slow as it was. It's worth another try.

This place is definitely one of the best place to eat in the region. Always when I visit this place I am absolutely glad. They hold their high standard service and the topmost level of cooking they provide. You will be always satisfied with this restaurant. Highly recommended.

I’ve been looking forward to this ALL WEEK! Ordered the roasted veggie wrap and the lavender tea latte with oat milk. Was surprised with the Beatles Brunch (Sunday’s 10-2pm)!!! The pianist was incredible. It was such a great space to relax and get some reading done (for the women’s book club they’ll be hosting on Feb 25th 😉). Our server was very kind, and checked in appropriately. She got all the info I needed about drinks I was curious about. I hope to make this a weekly event to try out more dishes and drinks!

Quaint place with "pretty good" food ... but the service is lack luster ... borderline standoffish /rude. The food came out in different stages - as well as our drinks. The prices are a bit high. This is my second time here - but I don't think I'll go back. Menu items sound great - but the lack of friendliness will keep me away.

I love redbird cafe. I've enjoyed the muesli with yogurt and the dandelion salad, which is fresh and delicious. The specialty coffees and tea blends, particularly the chai latte, are out of this world phenomenal. Treat yourself to redbird cafe.

Thought that I found a nice new cozy spot in homewood but I was mistaken. Portions are small, ordered hot chocolate and it tasted like milk and whipped cream, and nothing like chocolate. First I don’t drink milk and second I’m pregnant!! Exchanged it for a regular black tea but noooo that tea was extremely dark. Then come to find out I had to pay for both of those drinks that first I didn’t like and second I didn’t even drink. 1sip of milk shouldn’t cost you 4bucks I felt disrespected as a pregnant lady but I paid for it and tipped my waitress because she was nice. no big deal. The older woman behind the counter definitely had an attitude when I didn’t want her hot milk. My husband and I are Not going back and do not recommend stopping there.
