This restaurant has been my go to again. Everything is so tasty and full of flavour. My top go to is the lamb curry and casareep chicken. It seems like it truly does not matter what you get, as everything is absolutely delicious. A little taste of heaven… I purchased the jerk chicken today and it’s so delicious. Don’t expect carribean style jerk. This is different but still delicious.

I got myself the chicken curry with rice tonight and it's absolutely amazing! First time here and I'll definitely be coming back. The chicken isn't dry at all, the potatoes are amazing and the taste is just phenomenal! Thanks for the great dinner :)

Delicious, absolutely delicious. Fresh, well seasoned and what any roti fan would be looking for. Did I mention they have doubles too? I'd recommend spicy if you can handle a little spice as it adds more to the flavor profile of the roti. Definitely coming back. Made the trip here for lunch during a recent trip to Niagara Falls. My girlfriend and I were trying to get away from the tourist traps, searching the surrounding areas for something more authentic We chose LJ's based on the strength of Google reviews, and happy that we did so! We like to ask questions when we're making selections, and the manager was happy to walk us through recommended pairings, including combos that weren't on the menu. I had the jerk chicken with a base of rice, and a scoop of "pumpkin". (We learned that this is a nickname for butternut squash). My girlfriend had the chicken curry roti, with a scoop of pumpkin wrapped inside the roti. The manager brought our order right to the car, and we ate it right there. We received HEALTHY portions for the price, and every bite was fantastic! I had to pop back into the shop to give them their props and offer thanks for the recommendations...it was that good. Thanks for a great lunch!

I was excited to find a Caribbean restaurant/Roti Shop in Welland. Upon looking at the menu I had a lamb roti and chicken roti “spicy”. Didn’t get the traditional Guyanese/Trini curry taste I was expecting but still tasted overall great. As for my spicy chicken roti, the spicy level or “heat” was a 0/10, “homemade pepper sauce” would have been a great compliment. Looking forward to trying the Doubles.

I have to update this review. In one of my other reviews I said that Lena's Roti in Mississauga was the best roti I've ever had. LJ's has replaced them in my heart (and stomach). I asked for a little extra gravy and pepper sauce and that put it over the top. Well done LJ's, you've created an addict! Sooo good! The Chicken Curry Roti and Casareep Chicken were amazing! Really friendly owners too.

Absolutely 💯 percent amazing!!! I ate there for the 1st time last week and had to go back again this week and can't wait for my next time already. It is so good so fresh, generous helpings, and great customer service. The 1st time I had chicken because the lamb was sold out. Tonight I had the lamb and it is amazing I love them both my husband had the shrimp curry and he loved that as well over chow mein noodles. I'm glad we finally tried it..... our new go to restaurant for sure! Thank you

Ive never written a review but 2 bites in and I just had to. I came here for the first time, the staff was amazing and answered all my questions about the different cultures in food between the sides of india. I even got to try a small piece of the curry to get an idea of the flavour. There’s so much flavour and the meat is so tender. Everything is made fresh. I will definitely be going back!

One of my favorite restaurants! The food is amazing, the staff is amazing and they have so many great options. Today I discovered my new favorite combination: potato and channa roti with their homemade tamarind sauce. So delicious!!

By far the best roti shop in the Niagara area. If you are in the mood for some authentic West Indian food this is the spot. Get the doubles, lamb roti and make sure to get the pepper sauce on the side 🔥 - everything on the menu is amazing. It's a family owned restaurant and you can tell there's years of cooking experience has come together to give you some of the best food. I highly recommend you go eat here.

While they got my order wrong (she gave me rice instead of roti) it was quickly remedied and we were on our way. Our first time at LJ's, so while I didn't know their menu nor had time to ask for suggestions etc, I went with three options I'd normally order at a roti shop. Curry Chicken Roti (as mentioned the lady thought I said rice I guess, but that was corrected after). I wish I had time to eat the roti while it was off the tawa (hot) we had a long drive ahead of us, so I didn't get to it hours later. That said - the wrapper kept it warm (well done). I did heat it up later in the microwave, and to be honest, it didn't go overly soggy or clump together as some I've had in the past (well done). The roti itself wasn't overly greasy (well done) and the curry itself had a good (not great flavor). I really think they have an excellent product here, but their peppersauce (hot sauce) needs works. The areas where it was in the roti, had a tart or sour taste and no real heat. I'd also add a bit more curry potato to the mix. A good roti overall, with a ton of boneless (dark meat - well done) chicken and the size was commendable. The Jerk Chicken With Rice. Another good option, except we wished it had a bit of heat to it. Wonderful overall flavor, but IMHO jerk needs a little heat. That said, this is Welland and maybe they are catering to the heat level locals can handle. I cannot fault them for that. 2 Side orders of plain Paratha roti. Again, not overly greasy (well done), packaged the same as the other roti I had (kept warm and didn't go dry), however I found them a bit small (circumference) as compared to other roti shops we visit in Ontario (basically the same prices else where). Good food, reheats well, good value for money and great customer service (the guy at the counter - apologies as I didn't get your name). You guys are representing the Caribbean/Guyana well. Free parking at the front is always good. The sign at the front is easy to miss!

So food here is crazy good!! Even send pics to my kids to make them jealous ! The hand made roti's are great! Worth the $4 ish. And the pumpkin is great too!! Try it ! Trust me! At first was stand offish on it, but now order it every time!!

Unbelievable Roti! Tried this place for the first time last week and my family has gone back 3 times since. LJ's Roti shop is a must if you're hungry in Welland. Beyond generous portions at an amazing price. Super friendly staff, Love that it's 100% family owned and run. You gotta eat here!

The food is excellent! You can blend different roti fillings (chicken & pumpkin is out-of-this-world!). They make it fresh when ordered, so ordering ahead works well. Pleasant owners, and even better food, this shop is worth the stop!

AMAZING FOOD AND THE BEST SERVICE EVER! I showed up a little bit early for our take out and the owners there are SO friendly and Sunaina is a total sweetheart she even brought out freezies for my kids to snack on. Definitely recommend!!! Everything we tried is so good!! we really enjoyed the jerk chicken with steamed spinach roti and the lamb roti was also incredible. Doubles are a must! We ordered extras to take for lunches the next day- also really enjoy their homemade hot sauce it’s got a great kick! We look forward to coming back soon! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The food at JP’s Roti House is amazing. Authentic West Indian food! We ordered the cassava balls, jerk chicken, goat curry and of course the doubles. Everything was so delicious! The jerk chicken was so juicy and the goat was very tender. I loved the hot sauce as well as the tamarind sauce. I would definitely recommend if you’re in the Welland area!

Superb curry lamb. Rice and pea was spot on. Doubles were spot on. I've been looking for a place with curry that tastes like Auntie's from childhood ... Finally found it

Tried jerk chicken rice and beef curry rice today, I am amazed of how good it tastes. I am moving to Welland soon, and my mind feels at peace being close to JP's Roti House. Would recommend to absolutely anyone.
