Beautiful place. Individual hut is available there and the ambience is awesome. Quality and the taste of food was another level.variety of sea food options available along with meat. It is located near a small stream and paddy fields give us cool Breeze and pleasant views. Rs 400-600/person - depending upon the menu selection including Toddy. Lots of parking spaces available.

Only a memory of the place once it used to be. The place has grown huge since the first time I was here years ago. It's more spacious with many more huts and has ample parking space but the magic it had once isn't there anymore. The food is great, and it does satisfy your taste buds but then something is missing, maybe it's the memory of how it was once was. Or maybe it's pure economics, the law of diminishing marginal utility.

Went to this place after hearing lots of positive reviews about the sea food. The place didn't disappoint. Situated in a beautiful, calm and serene landscape, this place is a must visit. They have separate hutment kind of space for each group visit the place. Thought the hutment doesn't provide a good ambience, the ambience of surroundings are surely a hit. The food was really tasty. We ordered Kappa, Porotta, Fish Fry (Varaal), Beef Fry, Fish curry, Duck roast. Really enjoyed the food here however Duck roast was a bit too oily. The rates were decent and good service was provided. There is ample space for car parking near the shop. They accept Digital payments as well. Overal a wonderful experience.

Toddy shop is good for family and friends but the price is high comparing to other toddy shop. I bought 3 items price comes around 400 for single meals. Food is also average tapioca and pork fry is average but costly. One glass toddy is around 60Rs that also expensive. So my experience is not good 😅😅. Car parking space is available and ambience is good 👍. I don't know another dishes but I am very disappointed about my food. Especially pork fry lot of oil and pork fried deeply so meat is hard and a bitter taste of deep fry also. Customer service is good but you can ask the bill to waiters and close check the bill it's good for you. Atomsphere and beauty of nature is good. Road acces also difficult so please tar or concrete the road .

Very nice place. Actually it's like a family restaurant. Ladies and childrens are visiting. Food and ambience is unforgettable. Actually it's nature's view. Tables are arranged in closed condition so we will have privacy there. Some tables are arranged by facing to backwater. It's must visit place. Actually it's situated in a remote place but also it worth the money n distance we traveled. While we are on the way to the restaurant we can see country side, it's a good feel. About food, we bought Kappa, appam, crab roast, prawns roast, prawns fry, duck roast, mussles fry, karimeen fry, squid fry, etc In this every was tasty expect crab roast. Also we will get fresh toddy here. Card is accepted here, if you don't have card please take liquid money little more because food are somehow expensive

Toddy shapp is located in a calm and peaceful area alongside the banks of the river. The ambience was excellent. Now coming to the food part, it wasn't up to the mark as people hype. We ordered Paal appam and we received kallu appam, and asked them to bring what we ordered. The beef roast was not at all tasty, pork fry was far better. Koonthal fry was another disaster. Kappa was cold and old, never felt like finishing it off.. Poratta and prawns were much better. Appam was just ok. Toddy was ok but not so great. Overall i felt like a bad decision coming here with expectations. The The quality of food is not that great, and they charge higher price also.

This establishment serves as a unique fusion of a toddy and family restaurant, creating a culinary experience that captures the essence of tradition. With their diverse menu options, they excel in offering an authentic naadan (traditional) dining experience. The food is remarkably flavorsome, leaving a lasting impression and justifying its value for money. Furthermore, the restaurant is located in a tranquil and secluded area, allowing guests to enjoy their meals in harmony with nature. It's the perfect setting to unwind and savor delicious food and have a chill time with friends and family.

Too much hype and overpriced simple toddy shop. Food was ok and ambience would have been better if they allowed the customers to view the overlooking paddy fields. But to ensure privacy, small makeshift cabins have been built. Service was not bad either. Overall an average experience!

Recommended for all the foodies! Its special for sea Foods. Even though a toddy shop, this is very family friendly, even kids cam come and enjoy the atmosphere. Private cottage are allowed. The best quality of food served here. Slightly costlier side, but can be compensated with Quality. Enough parking facility for cars and bikes! Recommended for Lunch and Dinner.

    1. Experienced very rude behaviour from serving staff. 2. Had to leave the place because of it. 3. Seems like they have enough business and no need for any more customers. 4. Food is decent. 5. Get together vibe of our long sunday massacred.

The toddy 🌴shop offers a genuine taste of local culture with its rustic ambiance and authentic Kerala cuisine. The traditional toddy, a fermented coconut sap, adds a unique touch to the experience. The menu features a variety of 😋spicy and flavorful dishes, making it a must-visit for those seeking a true taste of South Indian culinary delights. The toddy shop's menu showcases the rich flavors of Kerala, highlighted by dishes like Kappa (tapioca) that pairs well with spicy Karimeen fry 🤤🤤(pearl spot fish). The Pork Roast adds a hearty, savory dimension to the meal. Together, these dishes create a delightful culinary journey, offering a blend of traditional spices and local ingredients that truly capture the essence of Kerala's gastronomic heritage.🤤🫃🏼

Everything is super food , place , ambience service , staff behaviour everythig. Perfect place to hangout with family and friends. Sufficient car parking area. But rate is little bit high for a beef roast they charge 230/- for a small portion like that.

Good food good Vibes One of the must visit toddy shops in whole kerala The road to reach is not that good Plenty of parking available A well organised place, the waiter came to us in just a few seconds. We got food also very fast. Almost every item we ordered was good, but a little spicy 🔥 The best option is to go with groups as portion size is good for more than 1. Great experience ✌️

Very nice experience. Good Toddy shop for family and friends. Ambient car parking facility available. Hygiene food and dine areas. Compared to other Toddy shop, it is little bit expensive, but it is worth to money. In public holidays and weekend here is cramped and difficult to get dine areas. Good customer service also. The road to the restaurant is difficult to drive.

If your a foodie and would like to have the authentic feel of Kerala cuisines and the toddy , then you shouldn't be missing out this place.Unlike the regular 'kallu shaaps' , you can tag along your family to this place. The place is always crowded , but the staff do manage and accommodate the crowd very well. They have individuals shacks , for every family. The food was delivered very quickly. The food was delicious and the toddy was great too. They have ample parking spaces and the restrooms were clean too. The rates are affordable A must visit place. Must try items - Panni roast (pork roast) , fish curry , Kada fry (Quail fry )

Very good place for toddy lovers and non veg food. Especially the sea food lovers.. authentic taste and I loved everything except the temperature was little hot during afternoon time.. great place to have good time with friends and family. The separate family cabins are great and toilets are clean.. highly recommended 👍👍👍

This toddy shop is beautifully located in the middle of a field... So apart from seeing the beautiful sights there is always a unique breeze of nature blowing.... The toddy shop is made in a way that everyone who comes here likes it....It is designed to be enjoyed by children and women.More people come here to eat than to drink. Very well behaved staff. It also has a spacious parking area.... Many types of fish are prepared both spicy and non-spicy. Fish head curry is a special item for those who come in the morning.

The real taste of Kuttanad can be experienced here with some local toddy which contains zero adulteration. Scenic beauty of the backwaters adds to its awsomeness. And yes the food is also affordable.

Totally worth the 1.5 hrs drive to this place. Highly recommend the beef fry, naati chicken curry and karimeen pollichathu with appams. The toddy was pretty fresh and complimented the delicious and fantastically spicy food we ate. We got a little room by the water, so eating this food and sipping on toddy with coconut trees, backwaters and a constant kerala drizzle in the view was just the perfect long afternoon. I'd recommend calling ahead if you want the crab. We ordered it when we arrived and it was only ready 20 mins after we'd finished our meal.

A great location indeed for kallushaap. Individual cottages for groups with few having water frontage. Food is good, not extra ordinary and the toddy tastes really good compared to other local shops

I would give this place 6 stars if it wasn't for the road to get there. That was enough to loosen every joint in the body! The setting was great, the food was exceptional. The pork, the duck, the prawns, the fish, the clams... Loved it all and the toddy was a bonus. Don't miss it or the bone rattling drive.

🙂 Nice , feel good place....!! Bit crowded on weekends, prompt and fast delivery to the dine in area. Parking is a concern on weekends/ Rainy days. Food is delicious and priced little on the higher side. Undoubtedly , you can go with your family , it's safe. Avoid going after sunset as it's surrounded by water bodies and flies and insects may come.

The place offers tasty food, good parking, a family-friendly atmosphere and food are less spicy compared to other toddy shops. The only drawback is the road towards the restaurant which is too narrow especially when it comes to the temple section.
