Very nice experience with the stay, rooms and services. Staff in the restaurant were awesome and the breakfast is worth mentioning. Swimming pool here is a great place to relax your soul. 1 hour complementary boat ride was an enjoyable experience. One night stay wouldn't be enough to enjoy the facility. Recommend the facility for families

Overall really good experience, friendly staffs, safe for kids, neat and tidy. Long cottage front swimming pool is the main attraction there. It's open from 8am to 7pm. 1 hour free evening boat ride is really good. Our room was very neat but the bed and comforter was not 100% clean. Breakfast and complementary evening tea and snacks was good too. Overall it was a good experience and we would like to visit again.

This is a very peaceful and beautifully designed temple with lovely surrounding and plenty of parking. Good to go there with family. Should never miss a place like this.

The cottage rooms are big and neatly maintained. The view of the long pool in front and the Vembnad Lake is pleasing. The staff are courteous and helpful. The food is tasty and you get variety of dishes. Overall a good place to visit again

Infinity pool is definitely the main attraction of this place. It is adjacent to the vast lake as well, providing such a serene experience. Rooms are neat and cozy, but can be a bit bigger...ideally. Breakfast spread is awesome. Alacarte food ordered was also quiet tasty...as with any such places...prices are bit on the higher side. Service was warm...overall a very good experience.

The property is gorgeous, but it's old and under renovation in some areas. The new owners have decided to keep the guests coming and work on hold for its holiday season, and that was evident. The property needs some urgent tlc, so go with low expectations, but nothing can reduce the magic of the location and the beauty of its architecture. The food was excellent as well, but the breakfast buffet needs a lot of work. It's not what you would expect from a 5-star resort. Avoid the chicken sausage at all costs. I almost choked on it. But the staff makes up for this with amazing service. They went above and beyond when my wife got sick and could not come to the buffet. The room was beautiful, but everything felt dated. But the plunge pool was absolutely a disaster. The water was murky and so deep with a rickety handrail that we used that only once. The main pool though is another matter, it's the second longest resort pool in Asia and it's absolutely brilliant. Some of my photos had people thinking it was Maldives. And the lake is right there with its amazing sunset views. It definitely was a relaxing experience with a few missteps.

Overrated and Overpriced Rhythm claims to be a 5 star property, but it’s not more than a decent 3 star. The rooms are comfortable but does not match up to the luxury of a 5 Star. It has a long swimming pool that is closed at 7.30 PM. The life guards are invisible. There are no showers in proximity, so unless you stay in a pool villa, the pool offers little value. The staff is courteous but untrained. Since there are restaurants in proximity, you are dependent on the in-house restaurant which is decent and not very expensive. Complimentary breakfast has a small spread but the food is good. Complimentary boat ride is excellent but that’s not on all days. The resort has a small frontage exposed to the Vembanad lake and the rooms are at a distance. There are other resorts in proximity that can be considered. Unless you get it in the range of ₹3000, the average rooms are not worth it.

Mannarasala Sree Nagaraja Temple(Malayalam: മണ്ണാറശാല ശ്രീ നാഗരാജാക്ഷേത്രം) in Haripad is a very ancient and internationally known centre of pilgrimage for the devotees of serpent gods (Nagaraja). The famous Nagaraja temple "Mannarasala" in Haripad is nestled in a forest glade, like most snake temples. The Mannarasala Temple has over 100,000 images of snakes along the paths and among the trees, and is the largest such temple in Kerala. Couples seeking fertility come to worship here, and upon the birth of their child come to hold thanksgiving ceremonies here, often bringing new snake images as offerings. A special turmeric paste which is available at the temple is credited with curative powers. The temple is located about 3 kilometers to the north-east of the bus station along NH66 at Haripad, in Alappuzha district of Kerala. *History Though the legends related to the origin of a place cannot be deemed as its history, the story on the evolution of Mannarasala as one of the foremost places of worship of the Serpent Gods is associated with Lord Parashurama who is widely believed to be the creator of Kerala. This history of Mannarasala has been mentioned in the 'Mandara Salodyam', a Sanskrit poem written by Mannarasala M.G. Narayanan Namboothiri of the sacred family based on the accounts and legends handed down and old scriptures and books available with the temple.

Very comfortable place to stay. The river view rooms are very much affordable and good. The clean garden, beautiful pond, and friendly staffs complements the stay here. The restaurant is a bit expensive though

An excellent resort centered around a swimming pool.beautiful location, comfortable rooms that could boast of an unusually large and luxurious bathroom. The restaurant serves wide variety of local,Indian and continental dishes. Friendly and helpful staff A good resort within easy reach of air or rail heads

Awesome staff. Perfect getaway location. Food in-house was on the expensive end of the scale but worth it. Try the carrot cake if you can. Very friendly staff. Go swimming by the biggest lake I've seen in close to 2 decades. Amazing views. Only drawback: the last kilometre of the approach road is in poor shape

Aveda is one among the handful of resorts built in the banks of kumarakom backwaters. The resort is perfectly built with an ideal view to the lake. The swimming pool extending from the restaurant to the lake is splendid. Separate cottages are also available, I recommend the one with the view to the lake. The food was acceptable but missing a "wow" factor, also food is not too costly.

  • 5/5 Sharath A. 2 years ago on Google
Stayed in the cottages for 4 nights. The cottages have a nice sit out opening up to the 150m long pool, with the vembanad lake in the backdrop. They have a free boat ride on the lake every day. You can use it as many times as you want during your stay. Great breakfasts. For lunch and dinner we tried pretty much all the items in menu, apart from the Italian items and soups which were frankly bad, their south and north Indian items were great. They have limited local food items ( which was unfortunate). Not many food options around, so we ended up visiting restaurants in the neighbouring resorts. Make sure you call them before because some resort restaurants were not open for outsiders, and only catered to people staying in their resorts. They don't serve alcohol, you can request them to buy you some from nearby liquor shop. But if you are up for an adventure there is a government liquor shop at a walkable distance you can buy them yourself.

Everything about the place is magical. It's so surreal. Well maintained pool and very polite and courteous staffs. We had dinner there and the food was amazing. Breakfast had good options and nice too. We loved the view of the backwaters from the pool. Worth all the money. We checked in an hour late and they had us upgraded to the pool villa as well.

Can't start the review without mentioning THE SWIMMING POOL. The swimming pool is something that no other property in the area can beat. Longest pool in India. It ends and backwater starts. Water is kept so clean. Feels like swimming in a waterfall with no smell of chlorine. Give the hotel staff that maintains the pool a Big fat raise. Rooms are slightly old in feel but I think they are renovating the property and other people might get better rooms when they visit. Activity area is decent. The restaurant has good staff that made us an amazing Dal Makhani (on the house) as we did not like the options in buffet. Buffet options were ample. A-la-carte lunch was subpar. They offer a free sunset cruise around the lake and it was a very good experience. If I am going to Kumarakom again, I won't mind staying at this property.

Beautiful place. Very clean and well maintained. Perfect destination if you want to be surrounded by water bodies and be with the nature!!. Authentic North Indian food. Food is little expensive, but tasty. Friendly and very hospitable staff.

Stayed in the Villa for 3 days , enjoyed each second I spend at Aveda. Watching sunset from the Villa with a cup of tea is the best part of the stay, villa have a private pool and a larger common pool . Breakfast is amazing , shout out to the cook - both north and South Indian cuisine dishes I had was delicious.

Beautiful place. The pool is outstanding, food is good, view from the rooms near the pool is Beautiful. The service of the staff is excellent. Keep up the great work. Definitely recommend to travel to this location with friends or family. Only thing to consider is there are too many mosquitoes even though staff and workers do a lot by spraying chemicals to keep them away.

  • 3/5 Kiran K. 2 years ago on Google
Not worth for the money they charged. Full of mosquitoes. Room lighting are dull. Staff are kind n polite. Food service and boating service is good. Pool is good.

A very long pool is the main attraction here. Its a good place to stay and relax. However if you are visiting the place just for a stroll and a meal, the place is small and the area near the waters can get crowded. Food is good and each portion has good quantity.

Rooms are small compared to other 4 star category hotels. Price is almost 50% more than other nearby resorts of the same category.

Upgrading of the hotel is in progress. We didn’t enjoy the buffet breakfast or evening meal. The concept of the buffet appeared to be a new addition to the restaurant and the restaurant staff; some of the food on offer was cold, lids were left up and not pulled back down by the staff and vessels weren’t wiped down after people had helped themselves. However the food was good. We were not offered coffee or coffee at breakfast and always had to ask for this. The room was not cleaned without us requesting this often after 15.00 hrs. The room when cleaned was done to a good standard. Reception staff were excellent and accommodating. Laundry service was good. The swimming pool was nice to take a dip in. Despite the negative comments our stay was a pleasant one.

I had an absolutely amazing experience at Rhythm Resort! From the moment we arrived, the staff's hospitality was truly extraordinary. A special shout-out to Veena, who took care of us from the beginning and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. The resort itself was spotlessly clean, and it's nestled in a serene and tranquil location, making it the ideal place for a peaceful getaway. The weather was a pleasant surprise with a mix of rain, sunshine, and a bit of gloominess, adding to the charm of the place. Overall, Rhythm Resort offers great value for money and is the perfect destination for anyone seeking a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. I can't recommend it enough, and I can't wait to return!

Well, if one is ONLY looking for the proximity of the pool to the pool facing cottages, its good. But everything else is NOT worth the money. The room is small, there is hardly any roaming space in the resort (crampy space), food is NOT worth anywhere in the 4 star category (forget 5 star) and service nothing not worthy (got a coir mattress instead of spring for the paid extra bed) ... In short, its NOT worthy the money you pay here (I'd paid Rs.27K for a MAP plan / night). We stayed in another resort the next day less than 1/2 Km away which was cheaper but with super service, facilities and 5 star quality food.

We had 2 pool side villa rooms booked. Good things : This property is amazing, the pool and the view is very nice. The food was delicious, specially north indian cuisine. Please avoid continental cuisine there. The boat ride in the lake was refreshing Improvements needed: The Rooms are horrible. They stink a lot. We were allotted 2 rooms earlier which were pathetic and we couldn’t even stand in a room. Then we asked to change our rooms which they did after initially denying that they don’t have any. The new allotted rooms were also pathetic. Very old, there were cracks everywhere and had foul smell in all the 4 rooms we saw. The rooms were also very small. Never expected to get a 3 star level of room. The service is average, the bags reached after an hour even after calling the reception multiple times Lying on your face that there are no rooms available but eventually giving other rooms. I could see the staff is biased when it came to non Indians, they were allotted better rooms (we saw all of them who booked the same category as us staying closer to the lake) I regret spending on this property so much when I could have gotten better property than this

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Rhythm Kumarakom Resort, and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience. The hospitality at this resort is truly exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable throughout our stay. From the moment we arrived until the day we checked out, their warm and attentive service made a world of difference. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the amazing infinity pool. The view from the pool area is breathtaking, and it's the perfect spot to relax and soak in the natural beauty of Kumarakom. We spent hours there, enjoying the serene ambiance and the cool waters of the pool. The food at Rhythm Kumarakom Resort was another highlight of our stay. The culinary offerings were diverse and delicious, with a wide range of options to suit every palate. Whether it was the local Kerala cuisine or international dishes, everything we tried was impeccably prepared and flavorful. The dining experience was truly a treat.

Nice lakeside hotel, undergoing renovation in the restaurant are when we visited. Rooms, pool, and structures in general show their age and could be maintained better. Staff is welcoming and efficient. Food very nice both at breakfast and dinner. The sunset cruise in the hotel's boat leaves every evening and is a nice addition to the package

An amazing property with great amenities including a very long pool which is well maintained. Very hospitable staff who are helpful and courteous. Loved our stay at the property and the food was delicious. A special shout out to Srijith and the chef!

Nice property with decent cottages which open directly at poolside. The usp of this property is the large pool which extends nearly the whole length of property thereby offering a poolside experience to all cottages. Staff is cordial and helpful. Buffet is standard but can be more creative. Front desk is cordial and cooperative. They offer a complimentary boat ride in the backwaters in evening which is pleasant. Overall a nice place to relax and unwind.

A beautiful property with an amazing location. The staff is so kind and courteous. They took care of all our needs. I will give them 10/10 for the service! Food is amazing. Do order the local food in the restaurant. Wouldn’t recommend having pasta or continental food. But the Indian and the local cuisine is wonderful! I’ve given one star less because there was construction work going and we weren’t really informed about it. But overall we had a wonderful experience! The pool is huge !! We spent 2 full days just relaxing in the pool. Will hopefully visit again once the property is fully functional !

Overall, a very good holiday retreat. A good choice for relaxing and rejuvenating. Notable point is the courteous staff. Everybody had a warm vibe and make you feel at home. The resort is situated on the lake front with a warm view of sunset. The resort is maintained very well. Rooms are tidy, and the pools are cleaned everyday. The spa service was a relaxing experience. There is a play room and a gym available.

This is a cool place for a fun relaxing vacation on the banks of the back water lake in Kumarakom. It has cottages, villas and rooms and is surrounded around a grand pool 4ft deep. Just walk out of your cottage and enter the pool and have fun. The pool extends from the reception area to the edge of the lake and is the best thing to experience. The food is good and the property is well maintained. They give a complimentary boat ride every evening in the lake. The rooms are well maintained. Professional staff and serve you with a smile always. Great place for a vacation with kids.

Our stay at Aveda was perfect! The rooms are spacious, clean and well maintained. The spa has numerous options of ayurvedic treatments and massages. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Stayed there during the week of Onam for two nights. Overall it’s very good. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. The food was very very good and fresh. There was a minor plumbing issue in our bathroom and they get us a new cottage to resolve the issue. Another concern is, even they market it as five star, they is no bar facility.

  • 3/5 Bhaskar S. 1 year ago on Google
It is a relatively old resort. The location is excellent. However local travel is an issue as there is no public transport or even car rental unless you take it from resort. The front desk staff takes a lot of time. The restaurant is good and staff cordial. Food quality is good but not the best. Overall it is a relatively good experience with some points for the resort management to improve.
