This place was once beautiful, it had everything. It had a cafe area, with nice food, the venders worked and the music was great. The changing rooms were cleaned regular, all lockers had locks on them and the showers were clean. The pool areas were fantastic, warm, refreshing on a summers day. The guards back then were fantastic, always smiling. Then I met her... She broke my heart, I will never forget that faithful day in my life...

The facilities eg. gym, studios and pool are very good. What lets this place down is the state of pool changing rooms. The floor is wet and muddy from footprints as it is like a huge wet room and the water doesnt drain away. Half the lockers either have no doors or locks that don't work. In need of urgent refurbishment!

Love this pool and the facilities. My children attend swimming lessons twice a week. (Swim Wirral is a different story!) The pool is always comfortably warm. You can always find a locker and a changing room. Enough showers available. If the changing room is ever messy, the lifeguards and staff are always happy to take action.

shambles of a sport facility. hockey pitch useless, football cages have more protection than Alcatraz however the pitches themselves are not usable and not safe, staff members lazy and rude, my walk has been extended from a 5 minute walk to a 20 minute walk due to closing the gates too early, forcing walkers to walk on an unlit road with busy traffic. overall disastrous, if I could give it 0 stars I would

Great pool, friendly staff, some great classes and hopefully more in the pipeline. (Zumba, aqua, tai chi yoga etc) Pool changing rooms could do with work, but otherwise all good

I attend this pool regularly, the water is slightly warmer than other swimming pools. I love the Olympic sized pool as does my Granddaughter. Friendly staff too.

We signed up for a swimming family pass ....spent £120 worst mistake of my life it's a dirty vile hovel and we were not told this prior to paying .....pics included are only some ....that's black mold on the sealing BTW 😣 Pieces of ceiling missing, loose wiring everywhere which is going to kill someone . floor ruined ..... and dirty with wee everywhere .....when i complained I was told they don't have funding for decorating and they won't be fixing any of it. Wouldn't even offer me a refund.

Pool and gym are great but the changing rooms are in need of some TLC. The leisure centre also has a big sports hall used for events and car boot sales.

Me and my friends came here and a grumpy life guard who was very abrupt briefly told us the rules. No diving in a deep pool? Can only jump in feet first? When I slipped into the pool and didn’t jump feet first 2 of the life guards pounced on that immediately and threatened to bar me if I was to do it again. The pool is big but the rules are strict. Wouldn’t go there again even if there wasn’t another option.

I had a fantastic introduction to the Oval and it's facilities... I'm so looking forward to enjoying my free time there. 👍

You never know when the place is open or not ..take no notice of the opening times on the oval site everyone of them are wrong..A male staff member was very rude to my daughter, when she went for a swim yesterday 5/10/23.was more or less told were to go ...she was told to come back Sunday that they were open 11am till 6.30pm . Not what it says online...the pool is warm on one side and cold on the other. A lady the other week tryed to stand up in the shallow end of the large pool and she couldn't get her footing . I grabbed her to help her stand, it terrified her. She couldn't get out quick enough. But the only steps in the shallow end is blocked by the lane ropes , it's either you struggle getting under these or walk through the gap between pools. Then you come to the ramp. Again this ramp is not antislip. You have to hold on to the bar for dear life.. the changing rooms have a lot of work needed to be done ,to make them safe. You can't put your bags down when your getting dry or wet because there's puddles all over the floor and the grids that run between the cubicals at disgusting and dirty, with hairs and empty bottles in the drain. I've never seen anyone cleaning the area the whole time I've been going. And I only go there because the next closest to me is Birkenhead which isn't much better...there is few working locks on the lockers. In fact there's some that don't even have doors. On top of that the disabled showers and room are a disgrace... Now the funny thing. A few years ago it was shut down for a referb but what they refurbished, they took the cafeteria away and extended the gym but didn't touch anything else...Wirral council have a cheek to charge what they do..

Great gym facilities. Helpful staff. Changing room needs updating, and more lockers required, especially ones with working locks, and doors would be good too. Water dispensers works as and when it feels like. Swimming pool changing rooms are atrocious and smell. Lift is filthy inside... when I was last there it was obvious somebody had spat on the doors and left it to run down.... wasn't cleaned. As a disabled person, there is 1 disabled toilet with changing facilities... it is usually in use by able bodied people.

Came swimming with my 10 year old daughter saturday the 8th oct between 12 and 1:30. Felt uncomfortable as the lifeguard kept staring at us all the time and some customers, even my daughter noticed. We did nowt wrong 🙄
