Definitely a unique experience in Vietnam, completely isolated island yet still very close to the city with a river & Can Tho bridge view. There is a certain feeling of being connected to the city yet still not being a literal part of it. Rooms and facilities are decent, but the service is a bit lackluster - the restaurant forgot and mixed up my order on 2 separate occasions.

I have been here two times, each time has a good experience. A peaceful, fresh space. Awesome place for families and couples. Beautiful memories of my husband and me here. Professional and sweet staff. I wish I could come back here again. 😊

Rooms and services were excellent. My family stayed for a night and really enjoyed our whole time there. Staffs were extremely friendly and helpful with all the questions that we had. Breakfast were made to order as a la carte instead of buffet, everything tasted great. Overall I had a very pleasant trip and will definitely come back again some day.

Prisoners of luxury: that was how we held ourselves captive for three nights. Azerai Can Tho is pure, simple luxury with sleek, modern, and immaculate design in every meter of the vast complex. From the moment you arrive, the boat ride at the Pavilion to the hotel swiftly takes you to the idyllic setting of the small islet that Azerai occupied, which seems like a universe away, and yet only five-minutes, which meant that you could easily, if you choose, shuttle back and forth from the islet to the mainland for whatever you might want. But why? While we were told the boat ride was complementary on an hourly basis, we actually chose to hold ourselves hostage at the hotel the entire 72 hours after we checked in, thinking for a few seconds daily that we might go to the mainland for food and what not, but could not convince ourselves to leave the luxury of Azerai. While there, we immensely enjoyed daily as a matter of scheduled leisure the gym, pool, tennis court and regular bike rides around the islet. We ate every meal at the one restaurant that was opened (the second restaurant was only opened during the weekend, which we were not able to try). The breakfasts were delightful: buffet consumption, but in an ala-carte format, which is a much better way to do it in a luxury hotels since no food is wasted and you are ensured fresh food with each entrée. The food always arrived swiftly and fresh; the fruit juices and coffee were especially superb. We never had lunch because breakfast was so plentiful that we never felt hungry until dinner (even after daily workouts and tennis matches). While we agree with some reviewers that the food (at dinner) at the restaurant was somewhat varied in terms of quality, the impeccable service and presentation more than made up for any shortcomings. We believe the price points of the restaurant were fair, and in fact, much cheaper than at comparable luxury hotels (think Bali, Maldives, or New York City). While we had one unpleasant incident with a staff member, that episode was gracefully handled by the charming GM, Gary Tyson, who obviously manages a great ship with an overall remarkable staff. I encourage Azerai to upgrade the gym with better equipment (squat machines and bench presses, please); and finally, there was no mechanism to show additional gratitude to the superb staff in terms of additional gratuity for services rendered – there is an automatic service charge, but often we felt a staff member was exceptional enough that we wanted to provide more gratuity, and yet there is no space on invoices for that – we never once carried cash or wallets around so it was not possible to offer that; maybe the hotel can add that option on invoices at dinner, high tea, etc. This last point is, of course, my way of saying we had an exceptional time and felt like we did not have the opportunity to express sufficient gratitude to the staff. Thanks so much for a memorable experience.

Update: Dear Mr Pillet. To be honest I was happy to let this matter rest after my feedback, out of consideration of the majority of your staff whom rendered good service and attitude. However I am shocked by your lack of tact in replying feedback and the falsehood when you mentioned, to quote you, "I am puzzled by your comments about our music of New Year Eve Party which ended at 1:00 am, other guests enjoyed it and I am sorry that you didn't." This is a misleading statement. You seem to suggest that this loud raving music party is enjoyed by the majority of guests and it is my fault or my own issue that I didn't. But I have video evidences to prove there are only a small handful of guests down there partying away WITH your staff, when most people have left to sleep. In fact, there are more staff than guests raving to 1am. May I enquire how could I send this video to your higher management to highlight this matter? Looking forward to your kind reply. ----- Stayed during NY eve. Some of the guests and even the staff were partying throughout the night with booming loud noise and DJ, affecting our sleep. Management should cordon off an area for late night parties so that the partying would not affect the sleep and quiet of other guests, who might want to escape to this island for a piece of tranquility. During checkout, the counter tried to charge us for a wine we did NOT drink. We told her to check properly. After holding for a while, eventually she told us in exasperation "it's ok" making it seem as tho we drank the wine (we didn't) and she couldn't bill us. This is so wrong. Otherwise the service was good. Room is comfortable as well except for a spotty Aircon which was fixed.

Exceptional resort with very friendly staff and good food. The villas are luxurious and very spacious. Stayed there with 2 kids (6 & 9) and did two river tours. The floating market tour with breakfast on board was truly amazing.

A truly perfect experience. We booked only one night at this resort sanctuary and wish we could stay longer. This is worlds a way from the city of Can Tho so if you’re looking for an escape or not wishing to be too close to the madness of the main city, it is heaven. The service was excellent. The rooms spacious and calm in design and ambience. An absolute must stay if you are visiting Can Tho but also want to finer side of luxe travel. Loved it. Thanks to the team

From beginning to checkout, an absolute perfect stay. The room is big, clean, well furnished, super comfortable. The hotel is really well located, in a very peaceful location and beautiful surroundings. The swimming pool is very welcomed to refresh and relaxed. And the service is so professional, always very helpful and very nice. Also great great food both for diner and breakfast, I loved it !

Title: A Mixed Experience at Azerai Hotel, Can Tho, Vietnam Rating: ★★★☆☆ My recent stay at the Azerai Hotel in Can Tho, Vietnam left me with mixed feelings. While the hotel has its merits, there were several aspects that left me somewhat disappointed. Pricing and Value (★★☆☆☆): The most glaring issue for me was the pricing. Azerai Hotel positions itself as a 5-star luxury property, but the value for the price paid fell short of my expectations. Even in the villa, the rooms felt surprisingly small for a hotel of this caliber. This was particularly disappointing as one would expect more spacious accommodations in a 5-star establishment. Location and Accessibility (★★☆☆☆): Getting to Can Tho from Ho Chi Minh City is a journey that takes approximately 3 hours, which I found to be rather lengthy. While this isn't entirely the hotel's fault, it's worth considering for travelers who prefer more accessible destinations. Additionally, the surrounding area didn't offer much in terms of attractions or activities, making the extended travel time feel less justified. In-Room Dining (IRD) and Butler Service (★★☆☆☆): One of the key aspects of a luxury hotel experience is efficient room service, and unfortunately, Azerai Hotel fell short in this department. In-room dining took an exasperatingly long time, often averaging around 2 hours for orders to be delivered. Such delays can significantly impact the overall guest experience. Furthermore, the butler service was underwhelming, failing to provide the attentive and personalized service one might expect from a 5-star establishment. In summary, the Azerai Hotel in Can Tho, Vietnam, has its merits, but it also has its shortcomings. The pricing seemed high for what was offered, and the room sizes were disappointing. Additionally, the lengthy journey from Ho Chi Minh City and the lack of nearby attractions may deter some travelers. The delays in in-room dining and the weak butler service were also notable drawbacks. While the hotel may have potential, there are areas in need of improvement to truly meet the expectations of a 5-star luxury experience.

Fabulous resort, very comfortable room and excellent service from a friendly, attentive and responsive staff. Actually the fact that breakfast was a la carte was very fine with us and the waiters/waitresses were fast to serve. We also had a wonderful private dinner. Special thank you to Ms Nhu and Mr Thuan for their help at the restaurant and the lounge. Idyllic location that feels like a remote island as though it is close to the city. Exceptionally well maintained grounds. We wish we could have stayed longer!

Amazing resort, beautiful rooms. Not sure of it was because it was low season but it felt majority of the options were closed. One of the 2 restaurants was closed, the second was opened and while the food was great, they were extremely slow when we were the only people in the restaurant. Breakfast was also not a buffet and they took way too long to bring the things..They also didn't have many options for activities or helping find some private boats to get to see the river.. Just details but when you are looking for excellence they count

Like the gentle currents of the Mekong, the charms of Azerai Can Tho slowly eddy into your consciousness as the days gently eddy past. After the generally hectic 3 hour journey that most travelers will endure, pulling up at the softly welcoming Azerai Welcome pavilion is like a balm to the weary soul. You are greeted with chilled drinks and a warm welcome. The short 1 minute ride out to Con Au islet brings you to a place of calm and green serenity, and the theme continues on into the rooms which are serenely calming in natural shades of wood and fabric. The unpretentious luxury of the rooms (remote controlled blinds, efficient air-conditioning, fridge, capsule coffee and TWG teas) are reproduced in the lovely architecture of the surrounding buildings - no fancy bling here, just design that blends into the surroundings. The breakfasts are the highlight of the stay - a la carte orders, served to your table, and tweaked anyway you want. Who needs a buffet? Dinners at The Cafe were quite good - we only ever ate Vietnamese, and portions were quite generous. The gym is the best equipped gym I have ever seen (treadmills with live TV, touchscreen) but there is ample space in the grounds for running, also. For peace and tranquillity, you are constantly surrounded by the waters of the Mekong and sounds of birdlife. For added tranquillity, the spa gave a really good deep tissue massage. Side trips to Can Tho were possible, but we only ventured out once or twice. All staff were a delight, and nothing was too much trouble for them. English standards varied, but given that our Vietnamese is non-existent, we could hardly complain! Like everything in Paradise, there are a couple of flies in the ointment. Free boat transfers are available only in mid-morning and mid-afternoon (two in a.m., two in p.m.) Otherwise paid transfers are the norm, which is slightly offputting, given that the night markets and evening stroll along the river banks would be quite the norm. Adding two more free transfers in the evening would be well-received. More Vietnamese food options, or a rotating Vietnamese set dinner option would also be good, given that many of us come to Vietnam for the cuisine! Nonetheless, Azerai Can Tho has won a (hard-fought) place in my heart for it's gentle, warm but luxurious tranquillity.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights, I could not have asked for better service, this place deserves 6 star, the attentiveness of the staff and the hospitality is above and beyond. We have decided to plan our wedding here.

This place is extraordinary and provided a wonderful stay for my parents and my fiancé. The neighboring dual rooms are so nice. The lake view is extraordinary and the wood decor is so nicely done. One thing I did not like was the extra charge for taking the boat to get to your hotel Room. I think it should be part of the service so you don’t have to keep buying tickets. That felt a bit obnoxious but the staff was wonderful and the pool was so nice. The staff also cut up fruit I bought at the local boat market and service felt really special. My family loved it and it felt like a retreat.

Had a wonderful stay at the Azerai, would highly recommend. The property is very quiet and peaceful so it’s a great spot if you’re looking to escape the city life of major cities in Vietnam. The staff was lovely, beds were comfy, rooms were large, awesome gym and the pool was amazing too. We’d also recommend the tour to the floating market (our tour guide Hu was great). One thing to consider is the food tends to be more Western focused, they have a small Vietnamese menu but would love if they had more authentic and elevated Vietnamese food. Breakfast was delish! Thanks for a wonderful stay.

I recently stayed at the Azerai Can Tho resort and I have to say, it was one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to! From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the stunning views and luxurious amenities. The resort is located right on the river, which provided the most breathtaking sunsets I've ever seen. Not only was the location absolutely stunning, but the service was also top-notch. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. They were always friendly, attentive, and willing to help with anything I needed. The food at Azerai Can Tho was also fantastic. I tried several different dishes during my stay, and every single one was delicious. The chefs clearly take pride in their work and use only the freshest, highest-quality ingredients. Overall, I would highly recommend Azerai Can Tho to anyone looking for a luxurious and relaxing vacation. The beautiful location, top-notch service, and delicious food.

Exceptional service, friendly staff and well-accomondate, only downside is we came during an event happening on the other side of the river, so the music blasting ruined the experience which is out of the resort's control

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Azerai CT. Service was so good we couldn’t ask for anything more. During the festive season there were heaps of activities for guests to make the best out of their stays. Foods were delicious and reasonably priced. Hotel staffs are super friendly and helpful (thank you Tam, Nhat and a young trainee for your superb service!). Also thank you to the house-keeping team for always keeping our rooms in an immaculate state. We love the little nice gestures at each turndown service during our stay. There were so many more thoughtful touches from the Azerai team throughout our stay that we couldn’t recall everything 😅. Bikes are available for guests to sightsee around the resort. As the resort is near the river, make sure to ask for the mosquito repellent spray which is readily available at the resort. Also don’t forget to book the breakfast/sunset boat tour which we unfortunately missed out. Hopefully we can visit Azerai CT again soon!

The Azerai Can Tho delivers a 5 star experience across the board: (I) Amazing setting and facilities, (ii) Comfortable and stylish rooms, (iii) great service with high attention to detail, (iv) standout dining - we were stunned by the taste and quality at every meal, the best food we had in Vietnam. Highly recommended for a 2-3 day visit exploring the Mekong Delta.

Amazing resort on an island in the river away from all the noise of the city. Rooms are spacious with private decks for lounging. Private on demand boat transfers between the island and the mainland operating 24 hours a day.

  • 5/5 JF R. 1 year ago on Google
The resort is nestled on a private island, so you need to plan accordingly if you want to go out on the town (but it’s possible with the resort’s boat shuttle, they can also organize excursions for you!) If you’re looking for a secluded getaway however… this is truly the perfect spot. The staff is super friendly and you can tell that they want to make sure you enjoy your stay as much as possible. The spa treatments were also very relaxing. Food is great, amenities are great. The facilities are all super clean and everyone there goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable and even special :) thanks for the perfect relaxing stay !!

Our first trip to this area. Very helpful staff, even if English is not spoken by all, they try, or get help. Clean, friendly and helpful. Nice with bikes to borrow and cycle the loop path. Tranquil and recharging place. Great food to with a good choice of dishes from different cultures.

I’ve stayed here five times now. It’s a luxury experience without the pomp and price tag that usually comes with lux hotels. Service is solid and the space itself is unique. On an island in the river with countless banyan trees make for a special backdrop.

Not related to the resort Called to ask if the the lounge & bar can allow walk in? Wasn't clear was it only for hotel guests or was it full or was it only for restaurant guest. Anyway, for anyone else interested. Resto fully booked on a sun night.. there was min spend of ??k/pax( couldn't hear clearly). Person at the other end was helpful to ask if I wanted to book tmr night instead.

One of the best resorts Ive stayed at. The staff is incredible and that is only matched by the beautiful grounds and design. Its so nice to be running around all day sightseeing and then with a 5 min (on demand) boat ride you are in an enclave of relaxation. The bikes that are available absolutely adds to the environment that the resort has created, making it a fun and unique way to fill your day. Don’t miss out on the spa, amazing facilities and really well priced and executed massages. I went with my parents and they absolutely was praising the staffs sincerity and kindness. Breakfast was great as well! The afternoon tea is a nice touch, since we are expats we wanted traditional dessert and cakes but would be nice for the resort to offer the option between local or international cakes, just a thought. Overall a fantastic property in a unique location that is well cared for. You can tell the staff is proud of where they work in their energy and attitude.

Such an amazing experience to stay at Azerai Can Tho. A beautiful resort for 4-6 hour drive from Ho Chi Minh City and what a relaxing place to be. The resort is located in an islet in Can Tho city and to reach the resort, there's a 24 hour speedboat to take you back and forth between the city and resort Check in process is simple and easy. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful during our stay. There's a lot of green area for kids to run around and the resort have a great swimming pool, gym and also very nice tennis court The room is excellent with modern furniture, so it's just perfect. Food in the restaurant both for breakfast and dinner is also acceptable. The breakfast is a buffet a la carte with many choices between Vietnamese or Western style Overall it's a great stay, and surely will be back again some day if there's a chance!

Took my 7 month old baby there to play with musical instruments and block toys. -super nice gym and dedicated Pilates studio -Watching monkeys playing in the trees -watching beautiful orange winged birds flying about -sunset cruise is really cool (need organize with the front desk). -5minute boat ride to town

Since all international fights are suspended, we decided to get a weekend getaway at Azerai. The room price is never cheap, but the food at the hotel is rather reasonable and affordable. The atmosphere and the service are excellent. Although it’s not a big resort, it has offered all you need and want during your vacation. The manager and the chef are extremely friendly and helpful. We had a great time there.

  • 5/5 Hanh M. N. 3 years ago on Google
Definitely recommending for a staycation here. The air here is fresh and always cool even when it was high-sun hours! The trees, and the conservative animals running arounds (including many birds and even monkeys) are good change of atmosphere for people that are sick of the city. Room is spacious, clean and private. Staffs are friendly and very helpful with all requests. Good big gym with many new equipments. Though you will still here on occasion the honking from the big bridge, or the singing on the other side of the river.
