Wonderful and calm camp ground directly on the shore of Vättern. Clean service houses and friendly personnel, well equipped shop on the area. Child-friendly beach with very shallow (and thus warm) water. Absolutely recommended! And quite inexpensive as well. Be aware that it might be windy so close to the lake - makes it somewhat an adventure to set up your tent. We managed ;-) Edit: been here once again after one year. Again an extremely positive experience. We will certainly come back! :-)

This place is a bit too big for its own good. The tightly packed throngs of people and camper vans make it hard to really enjoy the beaches or activities here. The elongated shape of the area means that there's constant traffic along the main entrance road. Reception has a never-ending queue, and the service is nothing to write home about (if not terrible either). The camping sites are marked a bit unclearly (it's hard to tell whether your reserved place is behind the little number sign or before it).

Lots of opportunities and good facilities (would give a 5 star for these), but really crowded (would still qualify for a 4 star). We were with hammocks for one night (which is cheaper and that's nice), but somehow they did not communicate well so we were woken up in the middle of the night about what are we doing there with our hammocks, hence the 3 stars.

Beautiful location with great swimming, but the staff isn’t the nicest, the service houses need some attention and it’s next to a busy road, so sleeping in a tent means hearing cars through the night. Camping spots average size. Good deal with 180 sek per night if you arrive after 18 and leave before 10, but wouldn’t stay again.

The booking was canceled when I arrived after 600 km travel with kids and dog, due to double booked. They treated you as air and no understanding and they really tried with success to make sure that you never visited them again. It was my first and last time there!

Wonderful location near Vadstena, but awful camp site! Booking was pointless as there’s no reserved spots. We were told “just go and find a spot”, that would have been fine if spots were adequately sized, but they were small that left the distance between caravans less than a meter apart. I believe that’s against the law so hopefully they get a visit soon. Only 1 toilet was available for half the site, and that 1 open toilet was drenched in vomit so the stench of stomach acid and hard liquor lingered in the air while the walls and toilet paper holder was dripping in half digested food. The groundsman just randomly sped around at unsafe speeds in a beat up van, so keep a close eye on your children in the event a loud beat up diesel van approaches at speed. He randomly patrols through the night that baffled me.

I really love to be at this place specially quick stop which is from 18-10 and costs 200 per family and this 200 includes electricity to motorhomes plus service house which contains kitchen, lounge, kids playroom and bathroom plus shower. Secondly are parking free for motorhomes till 22 in the night. Water is very clear and clean to take bath. Many outdoor kid’s activities have been placed with this place since its beginning. Last but not the least we can park our motorhome right on the beach and can enjoy whole sun set from even inside the home.

The best camping ever. You have to visit this place. Extremal clean. Close to the water but quite noisy from the road. This is why I get out one star. Staff are very polite and helpful. Good shop on the camping and the places for camping are prepare really good. This is our sec season when we stey there for tjäj halv och big #vätternrundan. And I'm sure right now that the moving base for our cykel team from Motala to Vadstena was really good idea. We recomand it.

That’s very nice place for families.!

We stayed 3 nights a few days ago, peak season. First 2 nights were great, quiet after 10 and after 7. The last night was different with people chatting loudly and children shouting even at midnight. The day and night was hot, hotter than usual and wonder if that’s why more noisy. Glad to be there as pilgrims so lovely by the lake.

Nice place for camping and spending time with children. Water is warmer than Varamonbadet..

Wonderful Pitch 331 right by the lake. Fantastic Sunsets. Modern Clean Facilities, including Fully equipped Kitchens! Plenty of activities for children. During High Season small tourist tr. Vadstena, a quaint little town, with a beautiful castle. 30 min walk along a safe cycling track. Supermarkets in town. Very friendly & helpful owners. We stayed 4 nights, it was so peaceful & relaxing. Great Motor Museum nearby at Motola.
