Started coming here to start marriage therapy; I would start first then my husband would come after. Initial session was great as I had a lot to say but the next two were not guided And had no feedback from the therapist so we ended early. The last one they even had billing interrupt our session; that should've been handled before or after the session! Long story short I'm getting divorced; Thanks! Take your business elsewhere!

I did have some difficulty getting an appointment, and I have to drive to Ft Myers, but now that I am being seen it is totally worth it. Been seeing a specialist in this field for more than 10 years before being relocated to the area, and the people who treated me last week were all kind, knowledgeable, professional, timely and very willing to help and allow for feedback- which doesn’t always happen. I almost gave up, but someone called me and they were very helpful, and I was in the office 2 days later. So, I’m glad I stuck it out. My provider is so intuitive & she gave me so much information. I have nothing to say but thanks. She picked up on some things my other providers didn’t. All great, helpful & professional!

DON’T GO TO ELITE DNA. They do not care about you. On November 5, 2022, Our daughter wanting to see her Mother, that was suffering with Alzheimer’s, went home complaining about abdominal pain. Sixteen days later she passed away from Ovarian Cancer. My wife of 49 years passed away on January 26 from that horrible disease. Watching her suffer was excruciating. I was emotional, still am, and several people recommended that I get some counseling. A couple recommended Elite DNA. I made my Feb. 2, appointment with the closest office with in person counseling. My only criteria were that I wanted to see a female counselor in person. At that appointment the young lady went over my questionnaire that I filled out on line. She then made a zoom connection with a man, recommending that I see a counselor (brilliant deduction). The only reason that she would have called him was to charge for his time. He said they would pass my information on to counselors and someone will be calling me within 24 hours to set up an appointment. Later that day they called stating that they would only counsel me via zoom meetings. I immediately called the office manager. He does not answer his phone. I left messages refusing to pay for that appointment. He does not call back. I received a bill. Called their office, spoke with billing, the office manager would not pick up his phone and does not return phone calls. I just received my second bill. STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE. They do not care about you. They do not want to be inconvenienced to see you in person. They do not even return phone calls.

Horrible. They make appointments without your consent. You have no idea about it until you get a text confirmation. They push medications on your child. THEY NEVER ANSWER THE PHONES. We gave them 3 chances. Each time the exact same poor patient care. Went private and never been happier.

I had an intake interview at the beginning of December. I spoke, via Zoom, to a woman who sat comfortably on her sofa at home while a small dog walked back and forth on the back of the sofa behind her. She told me someone would contact me for follow up within two business days. I received a call from someone asking me if I needed a prescription refill, but I never got a call to schedule another appointment. I wasn’t going to write a review, but I just received my insurance statement and saw that my insurance was billed for this waste of my time. And - Elite DNA, don’t respond to this by giving me a phone number to call. If you need more info, you’ve got my number.

Kristin was very understanding, thorough and REAL! I felt as if someone FINALLY took the time to really listen and understand what I've been feeling and going through. Our session gave me hope and lifted tremendous weight off my heart! Thank you so much Kristin Bryan! Anyone out there who is struggling and feeling lost and defeated, I strongly recommend reaching out before it's too late! There is help for all of us! Also, contrary to some of the negative reviews I've read, I spoke to Theresa when another staff member had called earlier to say my appointment needed to be rescheduled. I was in tears and very upset. Theresa took the time to personally contact Kristen about my situation and my fears and was able to get me seen the same day. That is a very compassionate person to personally go out of her way to see to me needs. Thank you so much as well Theresa! You have an AMAZING heart!

Scheduled an appointment that I made clear I wanted it to be in-person and that is what I was told I was scheduled for. I arrived, paid, got checked in by someone, and was taken into a room with just a computer because the doctor was remote that day. I was never called or emailed about this beforehand, and I wasn't told when I arrived. I had to drive over an hour for something I could of done at home when I specifically requested otherwise. The staff was always nice, but this experience made me stop from using their services.

My whole experience wi Elite DNA has been sketchy. First I mixed up the time. This was my fault. I was rescheduled. The front desk ladies are not the friendliest for being the first point of contact for mental health. In fact they’re downright hostile. I continued with them because I’m new to the area and need a provider to prescribe medicine. The intake gentleman was very nice. I finally have a zoom meeting with my nurse practitioner. She’s beyond condescending. She even went as far as chuckling about my career. (I’m a flight attendant ). The next meeting with her she asked how I was. I told her I’d been investing in land. She huffed and told me I needed to come in and get my blood pressure taken. Why would land investing equate to needing my BP taken. This literally makes no sense. I paid cash for everything so I’m not running up debt. I question the logic and judgment of this place. One more thing. In may my nurse gave me a severe diagnosis but did nothing to alter or change my medicine. I’ve been working and have not had any problems despite the intense environment in aviation right now.

Great experience each time. They are very understanding of your needs and getting the help you need. They make you comfortable along with fitting to your schedule. Both of my children have different needs and Elite DNA are able to accommodate both of them while making it easy on me the parent. Enough can’t be said for that. I have been super lucky that my children like both of their therapist and psychiatrist. I love that they do remote. There is no waiting in the lobby and very safe in today’s world. They also never make us feel bad or try to make us reschedule if we are late. Which I think is amazing. I’ve been to others when your past 3 minutes they won’t see you. Not Elite DNA. It comes out of your time yes, but they will still see you. That itself has been amazing. (And sorry, Elite DNA, we are always late! Thanks for putting up with us!)

The therapist are great. The only reason 4 stars is because I can never get through to anyone about appointments. To make or reschedule. I wait in excess of 45 minutes most times. I finally got through to Jasmine Curtis and she was extremely professional and did not put me on hold to try and reach someone in scheduling, instead she rescheduled the appointment herself. I appreciate that so much as I was at work and on limited time.

Do not go to Elite DNA - unfortunately, they can’t keep good providers as the only good one I have experienced left. They require you to come in on a monthly basis in charge of a co-pay. Well, I found out from another provider that you only need to be seen every six months. Is seems they’re incentivized and just concerned with billing you the maximum amount (without concern for regulations or rules). Also, I was ignored by the practice for one week. I have been asking for refills for three weeks because I knew I was traveling out of town. Not only did they not send the prescription, but they are also consistently being deceitful. I’ve talk to my pharmacy and they said that they have not received any correspondence, and were very clear about what they asked when they reached out in the dates that those correspondences were completed. Elite DNA lied to me several times and was caught in the act and did not take responsibility. Nicole, the PA previously on staff, was absolutely amazing and incredible. It’s a shame that the other physicians don’t operate like she did. My experience of elite, DNA, since she left is inconsistent and has poor customer service Due to a lack of medical training or education. It’s a shame that a convenient option has turned out to be such a poorly run operation.

I have been a patient with Elite DNA since 2018, and I am so thankful to be working with NP Jacqueline Bannister. She is exceptional at what she does, and working with her is one of the main reasons I continue to go here. She has integrity and has always prioritized my well-being and comfort in our sessions and my care plan. In addition to this, despite it taking some time to get a hold of a person (due to how busy they can be) when I am able to speak with their staff, the customer service is top notch & I have never had any issues with scheduling or rescheduling appointments if need be. I would highly recommend Elite DNA.

Love my doctor.. he’s amazing however the billing staff seems to be incompetent. I was recently charged $40 for a no call no show for my appointment… THAT I WENT TO. It took over a week of me calling to get this straightened out & instead of apologizing for their mistake. They told me they were removing the charge as a one time courtesy!!! Which makes no sense because what if they mess up again?!? Awful customer service

After booking an appointment and asking for an address for the location I was told to Google it. When I arrived at the location that appeared on Google it was the pediatric center. I was told to just go to the correct location. They would call ahead and it would not be a problem. Sat traffic for another 15 minutes to arrive and to be told that I had to go home and reschedule another day despite driving an hour and a half for the appointment, and being assured that it would be OK as a place that deals with mental health. This is disgusting. I will tell everyone I can not to use this place if this is how they treat their clients.

I’ve been a patient here for a couple years now. I went through two doctors before finding the right fit for me and she has been a life saver. She is always there when I need her to be and she genuinely cares. She is a realist which is exactly what I need. I don’t need someone who is going to baby me and hold my hand. She calls me out on the things I need to work on and pumps me up for the future! I am so grateful for Elite DNA, Kristen and her entire team. Thank you so much!!

I love the ease of use with this company and telehealth options. I have had many therapists in my life and Gabby is by far the best and most caring. I have seen her for years on Zoom consistently and she is great. She always takes the time to listen and never cancels on me like previous therapists had. She has advocated for me with the office staff and community resources when needed. She is easy to communicate with and I always feel I have her undivided attention. The woman that assists with her schedule is also very helpful. Would recommend

My son is an established patient I called t9day regarding some alarming behavior asking that his current provider be able to witness for themselves his current mental state. After expressing the importance and urgency an appointment for a zoom visit was scheduled for 3pm...at 2:05 I was called to be advised the appointment was scheduled inappropriately and needed to be rescheduled until next week...now you guys should know that psychiatric problems do NOT wait and I am appalled at the care and lack of compassion shown. I happen to be a nurse and can not even begin to express how disappointed I am. You guys are supposed to help in time of crisis, care should be provided in the least restrictive environment!!!

Absolutely terrible place, 6 months in a row my prescriptions have been messed up. Either they don't call them in and you have to wait 30 minutes on a recording to speak to someone. Or they call in the wrong amount per day, or the wrong amount for the month With the right amount per day they'll tell you to take two a day but only give you 30 for the month. If you value your mental health stay away from this doctor's office because they will drive you insane.

If I could give this place 0 stars I absolutely would, don’t go here and don’t take your child here if you need help. Loading me up on all sorts of medications for years, when one doesn’t work they’ll give you another and the cycle doesn’t stop. The therapists and psychiatrists aren’t there long term so when you finally feel comfortable with them and … all the sudden they’re gone and you get a new one that you have to start from the bottom with. I would’ve been better off not even knowing about this place, I can’t even remember the person I was 3 years ago before I came here.

I have been putting off treatment for some issues since childhood. I finally decided that I will get help. I went through what was supposed to be assessments. Twice. Seriously twice. I asked for a psychiatrist but got a nurse practitioner. The nurse practitioner told me she wanted me to see a psychologist to the tune of 2700 for a second opinion. My insurance won’t pay because this is not necessary. The nurse prescribed medication that had side effects that I could not function while using. Her response? Provide the extended release formula of the same medication. No one will talk to me. I requested a new provider last week. Haven’t heard back. The medication she prescribed? Some zombie called me and said my insurance expired last year. I just can’t with these people. I told her then why was the first medication approved and picked up using this insurance? The person was as responsive as a zombie. She took my insurance information but I think they hire sub par people on purpose. There is seriously something wrong there. I just want to get my need met - not get met by the needy.

Very easy experience with friendly staff. The phone experience can be difficult due to how busy they are but the Zoom calls with the doctors and nurses was very easy to set up and the people were great to talk to. They’re also willing to be flexible with scheduling and can try to get you in earlier; if you ask, they can put you on a texting service and it’s first response gets the earlier appointment.

***edited on 11/14/23 - after calling Tom to discuss the issue with their doctor scheduling incorrectly they told me they were willing to do..you guess it...nothing. They'd rather lose hundreds of dollars of mine and thousands in insurance coverage over a $40 missed appt fee that they themselves said is "a he said she said case and have no way to review with the doctor about it." I'll now be canceling even my appts with Carly Geier whom I held in high regard. This company is reviewed honestly with all the negative customer reviews being horrid, condescending tones from staff and doctors and their unwillingness to work with their patients. GO ELSEWHERE. I work in the substance abuse and mental health field and this company breaks many of the core rules that are followed for the betterment and genuine concern of their patients. Glad to be gone and they won't be getting their massive $40.00 they so need! Carly Geier is amazing. The rest I've encounter - not compassionate, not experienced (in terms of actual mental health and substance abuse) only in terms of regurgitating book definitions of diagnosis from those who've also never physically been through the symptoms. I won't even go into detail of how when why and where but damn...I thought I found the place, the end all be all, if that's even possible. But besides Carley, elite dna is disgusting. Straight up money grab.

I found that this office is terrible at following through with getting medication and with appointments. My son saw Carly Geier for some severe mental health issues. We started seeing her in March. My son has not improved and the communication is terrible. It’s difficult to speak to a human, and the doc didn’t show up to two appointments in a row. We were forced to find a different facility and doctor. Anywhere I think will be a better fit. If you need help; pass.

My child has been struggling with mental health issues and when I found out elite had a day services program for her age I was willing to try anything to help her. Amy was able to walk me through everything and give me details about the program and help diagnose and assess my child's needs and worked with me daily to do what was in her best interest. The therapist who does her individual therapy, Michael, is nothing less than amazing. He was able to build a strong rapport with my child and the difference I see her in a few short weeks is incredible. Times when I wanted to give up, they never did. I'm thankful for what they did and are continuing to do for her. This program is worth looking into!

I have been seeing a doctor at Elite DNA, but since it's been just over a year, I had to go through the entire intake procedure again. I basically wasted my time, because when they called to schedule my appointment with this doctor, it was for 7 weeks out! This is how they treat established patients. You get put at the bottom of the waitlist. Don't waste your time with Elite DNA Behavioral Health.

Thanks for sending me a bill for $300 (for services that my insurance covers) after not even seeing you guys for 4 months. I'm certainly NOT paying it since it's been 4 months of zero contact for this bill until a random email showed up this morning. I tried to call, spoke with an agent and they hung up on me.Florida Medicaid had me covered so I shouldn't even have this bill. Good try though.

Carolyn McClinton made a tremendous difference in my life. She has excellent listening skills and an abundance of knowledge. Carolyn has been willing to spend time educating me and treating my anxiety. She is reliable, responsible and continues to modify my treatment, getting me back to the best I can be. Thank you so much Carolyn!

i called before i even made an appointment and was quoted 50$ for a psych appt i booked the appointment and i get the bill a few weeks later for 600$, which would be usually 300$ without insurance and they charged me 600$ with insurance and billed me for two services when i only received one they are a terrible money hungry and lying company, go to a smaller company instead. they made a financial counselor (Denise Cody) appointment for me and when i got to the appt the counselor said my actual balance was 5$ and that she was going to call my insurance to verify and call me right back. she never called me back i called so many times and left voice messages until 2 weeks later she calls me back and acts like she never said that and never called my insurance.

Drove an hour from Naples to Fort myers for my appointment that I waited 2 months for, to be told they would need to reschedule. Instead of checking me in when I got there at 9:07, they waited until they verified my insurance. At that point, I was told I needed to reschedule. Very unprofessional and unorganized.

In the last two years, I have had a fantastic experience at EliteDNA. From scheduling appointments to psychiatry and therapy, they have always been there to assist with all my needs and help me when I am really struggling. It took me a few tries to find a therapist I really connected with, but when I had my first appointment with Stephanie House, I knew I was in the right place. She has helped me immensely, providing insight and advice on everything I talk to her about. Therapy truly changed my life and I am grateful to both EliteDNA and Stephanie for the massive impact they’ve had on my life.

I would not recommend Elite DNA Therapy, both in Jacksonville & Ft. Meyers. I have had 3 therapists leave in less than a year, which is just an unfortunate coincidence, but the lack of communication from office staff is what's borderline infuriating. Today when calling to cancel my services, the woman who answered hung up, even though I was starting to ask a follow-up question. Twice I've had appointments cancelled the morning-of with no decent notice; the most recent occurrence I wouldn't have even known it was cancelled if I hadn't called to get Zoom information shortly beforehand. I've had a couple mix-ups where I'm set-up with the wrong therapist, & during one of these, the provider I saw, Gabby, was incredibly frustrating, complaining about other staff & repeatedly saying during our appointment that she was "unsure if she could really help me." I wish the appointment had just been cancelled from the jump & trying to schedule with her was a hassle as well, as she called me at three different times on three different days, & when I tried to call back - usually within 5 minutes - she didn't answer. Instead, at the end of the last call, she left a voicemail stating she would no longer be reaching out to me for scheduling. My therapists overall were great & I did a lot of good work with them, which makes it bittersweet that the staff have ruined my experience.

The receptionist staff are very friendly and positive. My therapist, Mary, was very professional. In addition she displayed compassion, understanding, and empathy. She developed a treatment plan for follow up. I would recommend this agency.

  • 1/5 S. P. 1 year ago on Google
Don’t bother if you need therapy. All of my scheduled appointments have been cancelled days prior due to the provider not being available. This is despite appointments being scheduled months in advance due to there being a waiting list for therapy from the beginning. On top of that, they claim to have sent text messages detailing these appointment cancellations, which were never received, and there were no other attempts to reach out via patient portal. They only did so when I raised the issue after my second appointment cancellation with no notice. Very disappointing if you are trying to get mental health help and they add to the issues by making it impossible.

Chris Murphy is absolutely wonderful! He is caring, compassionate, and very knowledgeable. He takes time to help you feel comfortable and goes the extra mile to make sure you have the understanding and support you need to succeed, which is obviously important to him! I highly recommend Chris Murphy!

Both my therapist and psychiatrist are amazing. I work in the Healthcare industry and completely understand how hectic these offices can be. So I'm not going give a lower star rating for the office staff (they are generally nice, but it's difficult to get urgent appointments, the office staff do not communicate effectively, and they NEVER return the call that they tell you they'll return). HOWEVER, the services I receive from the providers makes up for the back office. My providers are flexible, personable, and cultural sensitve. I see Susan & Dr. Eisner💜

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I've been in therapy at least a half dozen times in my life and I've never experienced anything like it. From the cold greeting from the front desk staff ("give me your insurance information and a credit card for your copay") to the fact that they brought me in believing I could get an appointment with a therapist when they knew NONE was available, I was totally appaled at their lack of empathy and professionalism. The intake coordinator I spoke with was nice enough, but she was a college student who filled out forms. I never saw a mental health professional except for 15 seconds on Zoom. Then they had the nerve to bill my insurance $330 for therapy I NEVER RECEIVED. When I emailed them and asked for a refund they totally ignored me. This place is more like a factory than a health care provider. The waiting rooms are jammed, waiting lists are full, and they obviously care nothing about the people they claim to serve. They also steer people who obviously just need therapy into psychiatric care (much better reimbursement) and my bet is they are very fond of psychotropic meds. Maybe the therapists are hard working professionals. But you’ll never find out unless you can wait 6 months or more for care.

Now that they are in their new location things run much more smoothly. My provider, Scott Kane, is always professional, personable and thorough. I've been participating in TeleHealth appointments since the pandemic began last year and really like not having to travel for appointments! It makes sense to continue this once we are through this since no physical exam is needed during an appointment.

The world of psychotherapy can be an intimidating, confusing and overwhelming experience for the person seeking competent help and credible information. Elite DNA provides an excellent platform for making informed decisions about mental health care. Choosing their services was a great decision and I have been treated with care and respect. They are genuinely concerned about the well-being of their patients.

I called to schedule an appointment and told there would be a waitlist so I said okay. Then I scheduled an intake appointment for over one month away, thinking okay the wait list could be worse. One months rolls by and I go in and they tell me in the middle of this intake session there will be a 2 month wait for a therapist, but only after having me fill in a stack of paperwork, just to ask me the same exact questions right off the paper (time wasting). At this point I broke down because my mental health has been really terrible and I just want help, and then they made me play musical chairs/offices just for two different “more important” women to tell me the same exact thing that they are “so sorry I misunderstood there would be an extra wait after this.”
