So far my sister has been here for a total of four days. Already having problems getting her call light answered. Staff denies this of course. Her physical therapy team seems to be awesome, very kind. I've seen far too many staff members standing in the hallway chatting instead of attending to patients. The control used for adjusting her bed was covered in what looked like black sludge upon entering the facility...first day. It looks as though I will have to remain vigilant when it comes to making sure my sister is being cared for in a professional and timely manner. And again, far too many staff members gathered in the hallway chatting instead of checking on patients! Looks like I may need to get in touch with the head honcho and let them know about my concerns as nursing staff/PCT could care less. I'm so disappointed. Also being made to wait too long for meds.

If I could give them 0 stars, I would. Do not let your loved ones go here under any circumstances. The staff will leave them to rot in their beds and will lie to you and say they are doing well. My grandmother spent 2 weeks here and when she was being discharged we had to call the EMTs to take her back to the hospital because she was starving, severely dehydrated, couldn't walk at all, and had a stage 2 bed sore on her rear. She was there to do PT for strengthening and gait and balance - no bed sore should have been possible if they got her up and moving as she was there for. Can't wait to find out what they billed to medicare so I can see what kind of fraud they committed

Absolutely worst place to send any family members. Nurses did not take care of my grandma for the 6 weeks she was there before being sent to the hospital critically. Please please DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY OF YOUR MONEY AND SAVE YOUR FAMILY. The “skilled” nurses and administration have no conscience and allow the elderly to live in their own waste and in misery! I am disgusted with this facility.

I was offered an RN position through Indeed. There was pressure to accept immediately, but as a 25 year RN, I knew to tour the site and speak face to face about the exact duties. I arrived for my appointment and was greeted less than enthusiastically by 2 women at the entry. I waited. The DON "for now" started my tour but knew nothing about the position I was offered, nor did she introduce herself or - heaven forbid!!!- welcome me!!. "You gonna work here?". Oh my. I asked to speak to HR. They, too had limited knowledge, no resume, job offer, position of interest, etc. They were clueless as to my existence but at least pleasant! At this point red flags were furling!!!! I retrieved my resume and wished HR good luck- I believe they will need it. I spoke with the recruiter, Alexa, about these concerns.

Place needs some updating. Bathroom sink has no countertop. Try brushing your teeth, putting in dentures, etc when you can only be mobile with a walker. I requested an update. It took them 5 days to get back to me Mother in law there for about 15 days. No one did her laundry. I was there on a Saturday, requested laundry be done. The Tuesday after that, during checkout it still was not done. We had an 11:00 checkout- no one seemed to know about it We left with her and her things

My mom arrived for skilled nursing after hip surgery. We were very disappointed and had her moved to another facility. Staff gave her the wrong dosage of antibiotics and never administrated another med that doctor prescribed. The facility is woefully understaffed, particularly in the evening. Mom used her mobile phone to call the front desk from an outside line to request assistance to get to the bathroom b/c no one came when she rang the call button. Food made her gag. I give 2 stars since a few of the staff do try & care, recognizing the one social worker, Devon, who works hard to assist 100+ patients and covers the front desk evenings; Elizabeth the only skilled nurse in which we had confidence; and aide Wilda who was very helpful.

We were told by case manager at hospital this place was for rehab yo help my husband. He has lost almost 29 lbs since he came in here. Rehab people are good and 1 Dr. But with all others especially the nurses there is no communication. Mainly with family. Seems attitude is "not my job" I do as little that is needed. Rooms not cleaned regularly nor is the bedding. Love it is good during your and on outside. This place needs a caring management and staff

I have my 93 year old mother at this facility for over a year now, this is now the fourth Nursing Home my mother has been in and by far this is one of the best in this area. Is not perfect but they do try to do a good job here. I have found that family involvement is the key, make sure you visit often, and get to know the personal and encourage them since it takes special people to do this kind of work. I also like how clean it looks and most of the time smells clean. The fact that they do not have carpet on the floor makes a big different.

Father was in for short term rehab, sent there from Gulf Coast hospital after a stroke, we loved the care and is now applying for Medicaid so he can stay long term with them. Very clean. Professional and friendly staffs. Visitation was no issue. Therapy was excellent, their staff is top notch. I highly recommend this facility !

I hate I had to give them a star at all, I had to in order to write a review. This place failed my mother severely, she was placed at Winkler for therapy in which she never received. On several visits with my mother she was found laying in feces. I could smell it when I entered her room, I had to walk around the facility to find someone to clean her, the staff was found congregating together chatting and on there phones. After requesting for help the nurse implies your mom has a little sore but not to worry. After she walked away I checked the area myself OMG my mother had a huge hole in her back stage 4 pressure ulcer. I took a picture for future references, I told them to call the ambulance right now. She was sent to Gulf Coast 3 procedures on the wound in one week 32 staples later. Stay away from this place, I mentioned this facility to other hospitals they replied Winkler Court is the worst and they true indeed failed your mother!!!

Pay NO attention to the low ratings. These reviews are from more than a year ago. This place has turned itself around! When the social worker at the hospital first suggested this place, I was very skeptical as well after reading the negative reviews. But boy was I surprised My mother is a resident there since June, 2022. They get my mom up every morning, get her dressed, and at least twice a week they give her a shower. They always take care of her personal needs, such as toileting, bathing, etc. They even soak her dentures for her. They will not let her stay in the bed either. They put her in her wheelchair, and move her down to social area in the hallway where other residents are. They pay close attention to all the residents. From what I have already witnessed, if any staff member is not up to par with resident care, they are soon gone. I have even talked to other residents who said that the staff takes very good care of them. As far as the food goes, the kitchen staff has a meeting with the residents on about a bi-weekly, to Make sure that the residents are satisfied with the, and to see if anything needs to be changed. They really listen to the residents! Take my review for what it's worth. And no, I am not an employee, nor was I compensated for my review. I'm being honest. . It's a clean facility, and the staff really cares. Take my word for it.

Family is currently admitted there from Cape Coral Hospital. She had a stroke and has been at Winkler for 2 weeks. Great staff and this place is by far the better ones around. We have had bad experience with 3 other skilled facility. We would highly recommend this facility.

My stepmom spent a few weeks after a fall at Winkler Court. I’m not sure what happened to the folks making the negative reviews, but my stepmom’s care was great the staff was attentive, caring, and took good care of her. I would have no issues with her going back to Winkler Court if it’s necessary. Thank you Winkler Court ! The PT department is also very good 👍.

In an area of the country where facilities like this should be very competitive, the opposite is, sadly, true. Navigating all the details can be an overwhelming and significantly emotional experience. The staff at Winkler Court, however, really made this experience a profoundly positive one! I would be remiss not to acknowledge the thoughtful and attentive care of the director, Miss Sally. Her compassionate and highly professional interest in my family’s needs and concerns is reflected in the cleanliness of the facility and genuine expressions of customer care from all of the facility’s personnel we’ve encountered.

The administrator, Sally, works nonstop to ensure her patients receive great care. Her dedication and attention to detail create an environment where residents and families feel valued and supported. The activity director, Steven, is incredibly personable and friendly. He takes the time to connect with each resident, tailoring activities to their interests and abilities. The engaging events he organizes bring joy and laughter to the community. They do their best, and it shows.

This place deserves NO STARS at all. Horrible memory care facility. They don't clean their rooms as they should. The place smells in that section (memory care). They pretend to clean when you show up to visit your love ones. They get out the mops when your there. Smh. They all play on their phones like there isn't anything to do. The place needs attention. Needs new staffing. Ooh yea before I forget the steal or things just come up missing. My father in law had a watching always wore it. He hardly ever took it off. We bought him a cheaper one and that goes missing. Smh. This place is disgusting. Trust the bad reviews.

My father spent several months there. For the most part, all the nurses and therapists were very good, kind and compassionate. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for their CNAs. Tracy, especially, doesn't belong in the business and they know it, yet they keep her. Very rough and very mean to my sweet Dad. We pulled him out. If you're putting a loved one in Winkler, make sure you're there every day to make sure the CNAs are treating them with respect and dignity . Big Tracy, is more suitable to be a prison guard.

When my brother fell ill in Saint Petersburg Fl., his prognoses was long time care, a skilled care nursing facility for the foreseeable future. I wanted him close to his family here in SW Florida. Through the interview and transfer process Winkler Court intake admissions staff was exemplary in keeping my family informed as to his status, as well as transportation to be provided. He has been at Winkler Court for (15) months, in that time physical therapy has been made available to him twice, remarkable improvement in motor skills and strength, whenever a small issue has cropped up, falling etc. the staff has kept me informed and provided resolutions to any contributing factors (i.e. Mattress) he is content at Winkler Court, he is engaged and makes friends, some of whom are now my friends. The entire staff at Winkler Court show their concern and care for their charges, not just on the medical level, on the spiritual level as well, providing their charges with dignity and compassion, regardless of the circumstance. I would like to thank all the staff at Winkler Court for the care, concern and friendship they have provided for my brother, Stevie, Ms. Laverne, Ms. Melissa, Nate, Ms. Sally for always taking the time to listen, Ms. Marlene for keeping him on the straight and narrow Regards

My grandma spent some time there before her passing. Let me tell you I was so pleased from nursing, office staff and dietary staff. Very pleasant people and took care of my Grandma as if she was their own Grandma. Thank you all for your love and care

As a current employee, I'd like to comment on two great departments here at Winkler Court! First, our Physical Therapy employees who provide compassionate and professional treatment while assisting patients in recovering their independence and dignity. Secondly, our Activities Director is dedicated to enriching our residents lives with physical, cognitive and socialized activities while implementing these programs with zeal and positivity. These programs are an integral component of our overall care to the residents.

Office admin (esp Marlene & Diana) are friendly & super helpful, most of the care team seem nice, nurses are sweet. Activities dir & nutritionist are great. Mom seems well taken care of & clean when we see her. Facility is clean, but could use some upgrades—I’ve noted non-working TV’s, beds, lights in the rooms Mom has been in. Some care team staff have been hard to reach at times, and trying to call Mom is really difficult—she does not have a cell phone & has to use the shared portable phone there. Also had frustration with her clothes—brought 3 sets, tried to get them labeled there, and they disappeared. Glasses were lost. She always has clean clothes on when I see her & she has glasses now, so I’ve let it go. I would recommend only sending items there that you don’t mind losing & labeling yourself. I refuse to accuse staff of taking things unless there is proof—but logistically it seems hard for the facility to keep track of stuff. Staff is good about communicating issues & I got calls to sign Mom up for vision and dental care. Every family will have different views on what is acceptable care, but in my mom’s case, she is in MUCH better shape here than she was on her own. A handful of things need improvement but overall I think the team here does the best with what they have.

My parents were at the Winkler Court Nursing Home recently, and I must say, it was an absolutely wonderful experience. It's clear that the staff at Winkler Court is dedicated to providing exceptional care to their residents, and a huge part of that positive experience is thanks to the outstanding leadership of Administrator Sally Boswell. Sally Boswell is a true gem in the world of healthcare administration. Her passion for her work is palpable, and it's evident that she genuinely cares about the well-being of the residents and the overall quality of care provided t the facility. Her attention to detail, dedication to maintaining a clean and safe environment, and her commitment to creating a nurturing and supportive community for residents are truly commendable. During my visits, I had the opportunity to speak with several residents and their families, and they all had nothing but praise for the entire team at Winkler Court. They spoke highly of the personalized care they receive, the engaging activities and programs offered, and the overall sense of family and belonging within the facility. In addition to Sally's leadership, the staff at Winkler Court deserves recognition for their hard work and dedication. The nurses, caregivers, and support staff are all incredibly compassionate, patient, and skilled at what they do. It's evident that they go above and beyond to ensure the residents' physical and emotional needs are met. The facilities at Winkler Court are also top-notch. The rooms are comfortable, and the common areas are clean and well-maintained. It's clear that the staff takes pride in creating a pleasant and safe living environment for the residents. Overall, my visit to Winkler Court Nursing Home was an eye-opening experience, and it's clear that Administrator Sally Boswell plays a pivotal role in ensuring the facility's success. Her leadership and the dedication of the entire team make Winkler Court a shining example of what a nursing home should be – a place where residents receive exceptional care and are treated with the respect and dignity they deserve. I highly recommend Winkler Court Nursing Home, and I am grateful to Sally Boswell and her team for their outstanding work in providing a positive and caring environment for our loved ones.

I am a current employee at Winkler Court, I have been employed with the company for almost 22 years. I started as a Housekeeper and worked my way up to a Business Office Manager, if you are looking for a place that will allow you to advance and grow this is the company to work for. The team here do genuinely care for the residents emotional and physical well being, I would highly recommend this facility to anyone who needs long term care placement or if just need some Physical Rehab.
