Tom's Dinner was recommended by our local Airbnb host. Restaurant is in super quiet area, faaar away from tourist paths. We were surprised to find out that without a reservation there's no chance for a table. We sat by the bar and were adviced by both bartender and waiter. Great (sic!) food experience ! Our barter der recommended great Gin Mare with tonic πŸ‘Œ we had beef tstski and vitello tomato salad. Very nice, with chef's personal touch. Absolutely worth recommending and coming back. After dinner you can take a nice walk by the canal. Beautiful neighborhood!

Wow - what a nice surprise a little of the tourist tracks in Bruges. A great location with a little terrace, amazing food with a modern touch and almost perfect service - there is really not much more one could ask for... PS: the meatloaf with rhubarb is amazing - and yes, the combo works... :-)

Enjoyed a nice glass of wine with a couple of flavorful tapas. The pork belly was excellent, very tasty. Shrimp was good also. The staff are very friendly and attentive.

Great place in a quiet residential neighborhood away from the hordes of tourists (the other ones). We ate at the bar. Tapas and then main courses. Music was bad. They should program a better playlist. I recommend Krueger and Dorfmeister, any Gilles Peterson or Thievery Corporation compilation. Lovely wait staff.

Such a fantastic meal. The atmosphere was laid back, chill but not too quiet either, just perfect. The service was really excellent, very friendly. We loved all of the dishes, our favourite was probably the pork belly. This was such a nice experience, even though it was just a few streets away from the centre, it felt like we were in a small village. We came from Scotland and were treated like so well, will definitely back next time we're in Bruges!

Off the beaten track from the centre of town, well worth the walk. This is not a real diner, but many of the dishes are inspired by diner food, but elevated to a much more creative & higher standard.

You will not be disappointed! We turned on up our bikes, late and with no reservation, hopeful of getting a table for three, and we were lucky! Thank goodness we tried it. The restaurant is an absolute gem - the food is sensational with a la carte options alongside an exciting tapas selection. We had the prawn main (with black tagliatelle) along with 6 tapas for the 3 of us. These were all superb. The atmosphere is cosy and cool, the decor contemporary and if you are lucky you get a seat overlooking the kitchen to see Tom and his team creating joyful food. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming; the beers are less daunting than the rest of Bruges (!!) with a smaller selection of normal to strong beers and the Dutch waiter guided us through these too. There are wines too - but we stuck to the beers. We didn't have mains or pudding, we'd over indulged on the tapas! Particular favourites were the pork belly, tiny tortillas and spicy chicken (not spicy at all) tapas. We were a father and two sons who lucked out in this fantastic restaurant. Tom has created much more than a diner - well done!

Wow! What a delicious, beautifully presented meal my wife and I had at Tom's Diner. We initially thought with a name like Tom's Diner that it would be all burgers, corn and fries until we checked out the website; nothing could be further from that perception. The food was 5 star and so were the staff who were very friendly and attentive explaining each dish to us. We initially ordered 4 tapas as a starter but the waiter suggested that it may be too much food if we were having mains too. So we opted for 3 and then decided to share a main when we saw the portion sizes. The food was so delicious. A supberb, affordable wine choice too. Thankyou Tom, you're a true chef.

Absolutely incredible! The staff was wonderful. The food was unique, really good tapas off the beaten path definitely not a tourist trap, but close enough to walk to. I highly recommend.

Oh my god. This place is SO good. The food was amazing, nothing else to say. I had the salmon tartare as a starter and a veal steak as main. Both were absolutely mindblowingly good and the steak made my top 3 all time. The freshly made sauße bernaise was awesome. We had great apple crumble paired with ice cream for desert which was also very good. Definitely plan a visit, they do reservations by phone and we had zero wait time.

Fantastic restaurant and the food is simply amazing! First visit to Toms Diner in October for my husbands birthday and it did not disappoint. Next time we’re in Bruges, I’ll be sure to visit again!

Ok service (great when they were around, but we had to wait a lot to get our order and the bill). I had a super tasty starter (tuna tartare) and a disappointing main (vegetable risotto - with bitter tasting aubergine that ware not even mentioned in the menu because I wouldn't have ordered this dish). Previously they had an asparagus risotto that looked nicer and that's why I went for this dish. (sorry for the pictures, Google cropped them for whatever reason and I cannot remove them)

Enjoyed dinner at this cozy charming place. We were lucky to get a table right away without prior reservation. This place was very welcoming since the moment we enter. Food served was delicious. Food presentation was artistic. Staff was very friendly and enthusiastic. We had Shrimp croquettes with potato fries in starters, Pasta scampi and Gelakte aubergine in main course, all three dishes are lip smakingly tasty and highly recommended. Overall lovely place to spend time with dear ones. Ambience gives vibes of a historical place with touch of modernity. Highly recommended for lunch or dinner.

Tom’s diners offer a selection of tapas and main course. The cooking style is a fusion of Eastern Asian and Western European cuisine. It was a surprise for me since I was looking for a local restaurant (should have researched better). However, the food quality was excellent, for example the prawn risotto was prepared with fresh materials, nicely seasoned with refreshing basil and white asparagus. The pork belly was cooked well to tenderness, smothered by a layer of rich glaze. One negative thing which I would want to take 2 stars out was the forced recommendation to order a bit more than what we wanted. We explained to the waitress that we were not hungry after a big lunch and would order a main course and one to two small dishes. However, she insisted that we should order 3 small dishes. We felt very uncomfortable and like cheapskate. Although we tried to ask to order one later if we still felt hungry, it didn’t work.

We did tapas. Really lovely food. Service was a little erratic but not too bad (a waiter down apparently). It has a great atmosphere.

Mussels and Cheeseburger are starters (not cheap) but you also have to order main dishes if you take a starter. So if you (the guest) would like to eat mussels or a burger, be prepared to have to eat another dish after that because that'swhat the owner wants! Tapas 8-14 EUR a piece, minimum 3 a person. Complicated instructions on how to order, and not cheap. Service is quite stressed, possibly also due to the complicated ordering system. Not recommended.

We had the salmon and taco app, and the meatloaf entree. All the food was delicious and the service was excellent. Only minor complaints are no tap water (guess they want to sell overpriced bottled water), and this is the only place on our trip where the waiter explicated stated that service was not included (without us asking about it mind you). Pretty sure it was included like it is everywhere but the subtle guilt trip worked and we gave some tip.

One of the best places in Bruges to eat! The place is a little far from Center but still full of people who make the effort to take a walk also this place is loved by locals. Tom’s food is amazing and the waiters are very helpful and friendly ( believe me it’s not everywhere the same) keep doing your thing! Definitely will be back and will recommend to everyone

😠 Do not go here! Awful service, overpriced and mediocre at best food, we were desperately hungry and still found it appalling. Staff were very rude with terrible mannerisms and made eating an uncomfortable and unpleasant experience.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ This place is a secret gem of Bruges. The service is unbeatable and the food is homemade and delicious. The mussels are amazing, same as the stew. They also offered us very good homemade bread with butter. The price is good, for what there is in the rest of the city, and the place is very nice....
