Food is bland and service is awful. Got even worst when it was time to pay the bill. See below When I was paying for my bill, the waiter handed me the credit card machine. He gave me the credit card machine and asked whether I wanted to tip. I didn't want to tip so I simply pressed enter and gave him back the credit card machine. After a few seconds, the machine he looked at the credit card machine and handed it back to me with the same displaying asking me if I want to tip. I said no to him verbally. He then said it is 'normal' in Belgium to tip and asked me to tip 2 or 3 euros. I then reluctantly said I will tip 1 euro. He then processed the payment and then aggressively gave me the receipt. Honestly don't eat here!

Worst service in Belgium. We ordered and got totally something else, waiter refused to return the dish to the kitchen. I asked for the manager, the manager said "what if I do it for everyone who don't like the food?" I insisted" so he angrily agreed we won't pay for it... worst service and food return procedure ever. If you don't have balls they make you pay for food you didn't want. Fight such crooks.

Tourist trap. I don't mind paying high price for the food if it's good. We ordered a vegetarian pasta, veggie lasagna and a margarita pizza. Except for the pizza, everything was terrible. Please avoid this place if you want to eat delicious food.

Wanted to stay inside with my kids, because it was warmer, planned ordering some waffles with coffee. There were A LOT of empty tables inside. When the waiter heard we wanted waffles, he said those are served outside only, that the inside is for dinner.

Horrible experience, unfriendly service. I ordered mussels, one of the waiters told me they don't come with fries, then the other waiter brings the fries to my table. I thought "what a nice gift on the house". 1 minute later the first waiter comes and grabs the fries off my table without any prior announcement or excuse. Horrible service...

Don't waste your money. They bring you the waffle and you have to serve it and only two Nutella portions, and we paid 26.20 eur for two waffles and one water. Also at the end the staff was very rude and unpleasant because we added these pictures.

We had dinner and coffee next day and both experienced horrible customer service, i did multiple reviews where i experienced bad service but this one is the most rude waiters I ever seen, and they were different ones (diner and coffee next day). Avoid it by all means!!!

Horrible service. I thought about chewing my arm off in order to escape faster. I felt as if I was in a bizarre food horror where the waiters want us to die. Seated next to a cutlery station and fire pit (slashed and burned!). Waiters constantly grabbing glasses and silverware, fat stomachs and butts right up against us. Waiter refused our initial order and insisted that we go with something else based on the size, but maybe he eats too much and we don't! preposterous. When in Europe you do not want to eat to run, but ran we did, as you should before entry.

Terrible experience. The service was horrible, the waiter could not understand us (in French or in English), completely ignored my wife when she was speaking, was very pushy and got visibly upset. The food was not good at all. The restaurant is nicely decorated and well situated, but that is all we could find pleasant.

Very unfriendly treatment. I was wondering why. I thought may be bec my hijab as am a Muslim. As there is no reason for such a rude behaviour My son asked for a coffee the waiter said that I can’t have a seat except if I ordered for my self too Then we ordered two coca and a main dish. But I asked for an extra fork They put 3 £. For the fork . Will never go again

Very bad attention. The old waiter with no hair treated us badly, because we did not order expensive food. He made us feel very uncomfortable and we decided to leave. Also, the place was expensive. If you are foreigners, don't go there.

Bad attention from the staff, bad manners, they had problems with the internet so they don't accept payments with virtual cards, only physical ones. We ordered beers which were ok but the atmosphere and the staff left a lot to be desired.

17.80€ for 2 coffee and 2 small sparkling water.

Horrible waiter, avoid at all cost I wish I had read these reviews beforehand. I saw the waiter being rude with other people besides our group. He insisted the child in our group needed to order something as well. I accept that but his manners were horrible. And in the end he tried to charge me extra. I noticed and complained but he pretended he didn't understand in spite of me hearing him speak perfect French with another group and ours up until then. I guess he treats clients according to how much money (he thinks) they have. Poor little man with the reindeer hat that needs to steal from clients.

We stopped here for fresh mussels and beer it was really good! The view of the grand palace is a bonus

We had a lovely delicious full meal here with beer, and really enjoyed ourselves! Touristy, yes, but very good food, too.

I got breakfast here and everything was OK. The service was fast and the waitress was friendly. The best part of this place is the view to the Belfry tower.

it was just not good. rude waiters, expensive tasteless food. even the drinks were bad. not enough food in some plates, refused that i order a kid's menu then unhappy with the fact that i left some food in my plate, took 20 minutes after the other meals were served for a fish n chips to arrive.

Highly unfriendly. “ you can only sit if you are ordering food., not just beer” “ I can only give you Tabasco with that”. I wish they were more welcoming. We ate at equally busy restaurants next door, but no one made us feel as unwelcome. Not sure why they were so unfriendly. Trust me , we did not want to burden them like this 🙁

Impolite and unprofessional servers. The worst experience in a restaurant ever. We got there, the server stood in our way and was really rude saying we had to sit outside although we wanted to eat and it was cold outside. After telling him that, he started screaming, we got inside anyway, and he grabbed the menus and dropped them on the table. The other waiters weren’t helpful and were really cold… The food was below average quality. I worked in a restaurant for 2.5 years, and I know how waiters should behave with customers.

The food was good, but the service was not. The waiter placed our spaghetti dish directly on top of the toast on the plate, and he seemed not noticing it…

You get exactly what you can expect. Horrible service and medicore food. We waited 30 minutes for a waiter to even bring us a menu. Despite ordering still water, we got sparkling, which got thrown on the table by a rude waiter. The tapasbord was full of stuff they probably prepared the day before and was more grease than actual food. And then there’s of course the price…

Cheeky staff asking for a tip so didn't get one, expensive food and drink ie €12 for 3 slices of toasted bread and cheese in the form of a toastie. Had much better over the weekend in Bruges

We stumbled upon this restaurant tonight and let me tell you, we are so glad we did! Hands down the best spaghetti my husband and I have ever had! The lasagna was also delicious. We had a beautiful view of the the belfry while we ate. My 2 daughters also enjoyed their meal. The wait staff was excellent and mage our dining experience very enjoyable.

Great mussels in a great location. Yes it's a bit expensive but you have the wonderful view of the market and can sit outside in the sun admiring it all.

Came here for a waffle as most waffle shops closed. It was good but not special. Service was just ok.

Appalling customer service, completely unprofessional staff. Waited ages to be seated, just kept getting ignored by waiters. Eventually sat down outside near another potential customer - we still waited to be served - instead got yelled at in Dutch. When I tried to explain that we don't speak Dutch and just wanted to be served, the waiter just walked away. It was overpriced and dingy inside anyway.

Worst moulles I had in my life - only cooked in salt water and half not opened or empty shells. Still water €10 for 1L and ice tea with gas. Waiters also not very friendly. Will never return nor recommend this restaurant.

Location is amazing but that's about it. Other then that, service wasn't very pleasant. We simply asked to add some water to a cocktail and the server flat out refused.
