Absolutely incredible place! The view was amazing the food was also amazing. The lady that served us was very friendly. It's such a nice atmosphere and the views are breathtaking especially if you are there to watch the sunset. The walk up there is so so worth it! I admire you if you dare to drive up there though😂

Superb food, friendly service and very reasonable prices. The views are incredible. We parked at Zia upper car park and walked, takes 1/2 hour but not very steep. Could have easily driven in a regular car, the road is fine. Highly recommended 👍👍👍

Bit of a scary drive in a Toyota Aygo, but just about manageable! the views are amazing! Breathtaking! The homemade lemonade lovely, and I can only imagine what a sunset from here would look like!

This view and delicious food was totally worth the scary ride up the mountain. It is the best view of Zia and away from the crowds who choose to stay in touristy area with the souvenir shops.

Absolutely outstanding restaurant. Food, service, location and views all excellent. We stopped for lunch after making our way up the hill on our quad bike. The drive up is ok, can be done in a car if you take your time, there are a couple of bumpy bits where the concrete ends and it becomes a dirt track again. On a quad bike it's straightforward. I'm not sure if you can get a taxi up or not. We shared saganaki, beetroot with garlic, and pork stew, and 2 glasses of homemade lemonade, all of which were tasty and moreish. Prices were very reasonable for the location and quality of food. Highly recommended, it's sooo worth the effort of getting there.

A wonderful place to spend time, have a meal drinks and take in the amazing views. An adventurous ride up to the taverna. But well worth it. The food was fantastic value for money and delicious. If you want some thing off the normal tourists trail. This place is perfect

One of the best dinner you can have. The location is stunning and the view will be absolutely worthy to drive the rough road to get there. The food was delicious, expecially the baked goat was really tasty. A great alternative to the crowdy and turistic Zia.

Good food alongside a beautiful view. Certainly a nice experience after cycling 10km up a mountain. The dinner was swiftly prepared, but the staff was not very friendly. For example; they told us we could not sit at tables on the view deck because they would have to move two tables together. After dinner they told us the deserts were on the house, and not usually served, instead they would be "staff's desert" (every table got served these deserts, and they were on the bill). There's a restroom available, chicken was pretty good for a diner on a mountainside, not too expensive, a lot of choice for food and drinks on the menu.

Great food and view. Very traditional Greek dishes in a family setting. Would highly recommend.

The Metoxi restaurant was a bit of a gamble as the drive up to is not for the faint hearted. But 100% worth it. We were told when hiring a car the sunset in Zia was not to be missed. This is the best view possible as it is the highest restaurant you can eat at. We drove up to it and had a drink in the morning, booked a table for the sunset and WOW well worth it. The food and service was excellent Amazing cocktails. And just when we thought it was time to go, amazing baklava was brought out to us to finish.

Its a very secret tip for tourists and also a must see. The view is amazing, the service is quite friendly and very courteous🫶🏼🥰 The way to this secret place is a partly bit tricky (offroad) but its worth it. We didn't saw the sunset (we were there on midday) but that is the place to be at sunset time.

Unique place! The highest Tavern in Kos. To get there you need a car... Food is delicious and portions are quiet big. It's a family owned place Much better then Zia for the sunset!

The view is just breathtaking, with amazing views, coupled with amazing drinks. Drive-up is a bit rough, but isn't impossible by any stretch of the imagination. Server was really nice, bathrooms were very sanitary.

Wonderful place uphill upon Zia that’s worth to visit. Friendly service, pleasant atmosphere, good food, wonderful view of the Kos island. It is possible to get there by car, although the road might be a little adventure. We have walked, from Zia around 20 min. However the effort was worth it.

Awesome place with very friendly people ♥️ The food was great and the view one of a kind. You can see all the islands near Kos from here. It is worth a visit and worth to eat here. Definitely a must while in Kos 🥰 But prepare for a 25 min walking in the forest. You can go also by car but only 4x4.
