First time back in over 10 years. My first visit was as a kid so there were a lot of fun memories tied to visiting again. Plus my family LOVES their ice cream and cheese. It has definitely turned into the “Magnolia Farms” of Oregon. There are a lot of people everywhere. So be prepared for crowds. The self guided tour is nice. It is fun looking down and seeing how the cheese is made. Lots of neat spaces with info on their farming, plus free cheese samples. The gift shop was fun to walk through, anything from t-shirts to mugs. They also have many of their products for sale. I gave it 4/5 because the line for ice cream was astronomical. Ended up not getting any, cause we didn’t want to wait at least an hour, if not longer. If you are a fan of Tillamook, but don’t want ice cream, great for a quick tour and perusing the gift shop.

What a fun and informative visit! The guest experience is set up to flow very nicely, and smoothly moves crowds through the learning, tasting and shopping experiences with ease. Even the parking is set up efficiently. The modern aesthetic doesn’t take away from all the history there is to read, and the interactive pieces of the museum-esque self-tour are fun for all ages. It was neat seeing the factory in action, and getting to enjoy the cheese, ice cream and lunch menu served by friendly staff. Indoor and outdoor seating is available for snacking, and the gift shop is expansive with so many neat trinkets:)

The facility was fantastic! I’ve never been to a cheese factory before. I really liked the historical timeline. It was beautifully done. The cheese and ice cream was delicious. I wasn’t too happy with the lunch food. I thought it was just okay. The lunch food could have been better. But the ice cream with 30 different flavors made up for it. The free cheese samples also helped to make up for it. This place was BUSY so make sure you are ready to queue up and wait. I definitely recommend checking this place out on your way to the coastline!

My husband had been wanting to come back to the Tillamook Creamery for the longest time and I hadn't been yet. It's hard to make it to Oregon when you move to the east coast! On our last visit home we got a chance to visit and it really is a cool place. I loved that a little bit of the history of the area was incorporated into the tour and the cheese making rooms were impressive. Their shop is huge and has everything you can think of: cheese and snacks, wines, candles, t-shirts, ornaments and SO much more! We grabbed some grilled cheese sandwiches and fried cheese curds (fantastic!) while we were there, but the real star of the show is their ice cream. Luckily for us, they are starting to sell it in Connecticut now 😜 Overall it was a great experience!

The Creamery is the cream of the crop. Offering great views of the factory floor the creamery has been recently remodeled to great acclaim. The building is wonderful in and of itself, and the new displays are very informative. The ice cream is always worth getting. The hot food is a little overpriced. The shop is amazing. Great things are all these including unique cheeses and ones that have been aged for longer than can be purchased in the grocery store. Photo opportunity available in the replica of the Tillamook bus.

The food was well worth the wait. Decent service. You move through the lines pretty quick. - yes there will be lines for pizza, a separate line for ice cream, and another for the other entree options. Pet friendly outdoor seating. Did not do the tour do to having the pup with us. But would like to another time. The cheeseburger we ordered and shared had a massive thick slice of cheese, we upgraded our side to cheese curds, both were amazing and plenty for 2 people. The pizza looked incredible too. But I lacked the patience to stand in another line, including the ice cream line, regardless of how quickly they were moving. Neat place to spend the day, have lunch and then some ice cream. Also, I totally could use one of those cool step stools y'all have for the employees.

The new creamery and visitor center is much-improved and well worth a stop on your way up or down the Oregon coast. Head upstairs to tour the state-of-the-art cheese-making facilities. Don’t miss the free samples! Refrigerated cases of all things Tillamook on offer in the grocery store/gift shop. Wander past for a pic in the Tillamook van then get in line for a grilled cheese, cheeseburger, mac and cheese, and more or over 20 flavors of Tillamook ice cream and custard. Plentiful indoor and outdoor seating plus free parking and restrooms.

Hadn’t been to the visitor center in over 35 years so I was absolutely amazed at the sight of the newish Tillamook Creamery! It’s modern, stylish, clean and so well organized. What a treat to visit here and learn how their cheese is made. Lots of helpful signs and pictures to help visitors understand what they’re looking at on the production floor. And the store is…wow! Besides all of the cheese, it features well selected Oregon made products and even suggested wine and cheese pairings. And everything you need to create a lovely charcuterie board, including a selection of stylish boards and utensils. Can’t say enough about how fun and entertaining this is. It’s like Disneyland for cheese. Oh, there’s also food and ice cream on offer. And spacious indoor and outdoor eating areas. Check it out.

We have been coming here for years and we're amazed at how it's grown over the years. The tourists have certainly found their way to greatness. Tillamook has certainly found a wide audience as we've even seen their products in markets in Hong Kong. The creamery is a lot of fun. Samples to be had, products a plenty, and the food court serves up some decent food with their own ingredients. A self-guided tour reveals the operation from a mezzanine above and is adorned with placards and signs describing the process. If you're planning on heading up the coast, Tillamook Creamery should definitely be on your list of stops.

We decided to stop and have lunch here on our way from the Oregon Coast to Portland. In addition to the self guided tour we signed up for the Cheese Tasting Guided Tour which was well worth the money. The tour guide was thorough and funny. The cheese tasting was small with 5 pieces of their limited edition cheese. But I still really enjoyed it. After that we went outside to eat outside at the large covered patio. It was a beautiful cool Oregon day and ate an awesome Tillamook cheese burgers and a side of fried Tillamook Cheese Curds. The fountain soda selection as amazing. I had the Agave Cream Soda. After filling our faces we went back inside to the huge gift shop and bought cold cuts, olives and ‘more’ cheese and some wine to have later plus some gifts to bring home. Definitely would do this again!

The self guided tour is upstairs and is wonderful. The factory is spotless. I went to the old grounds many years ago and enjoyed the more homey feel. This new building is beautiful but very commercial. The prices are high which is to be expected. The ice cream was good. They even offer some lunch items. The old boat is nice to see and the plaque to explain its significance is informative. They do give out a sample of cheese and have a good size store.

This was a great stop for a neat experience into the creamery world. Unfortunately the day we were there the factory wasn’t operational but the rest of the place was. The gift and grocery stores were open with a large variety of things to choose from. Prices are high so be prepared to spend some cash while here. Also recommend bringing a freezer or some sort of container to make sure your cold items (which the majority of their food products are) survive the trip back home or to your hotel. It was nice having a food option as well as an ice cream line. Their products do not disappoint but again, they don’t come cheap either. Make sure you ask about their military discount. When we were there it was about 25% which is pretty impressive anymore. Finally be prepared to wait. We went on a holiday (day after thanksgiving) and I was amazed at how many people were there. There were lines for lots of things. If you go on a warm day or time when lots of people are normally out, I can see this place getting packed. But overall, definitely a spot worth stopping in for and looking around.

We’ve passed the creamery so many times but never had the chance to go in. Today we made the time. This place is awesome! Self tour the facility, it is so interesting. The facility is open from 10 am to 6 pm, there is so much parking space no matter what time you get here. Today was packed but the lines inside for the food and ice cream went quickly. There is a large sitting area inside and also outside. And the shop has lots of fun stuff. This place is great for children. And of course don’t forget to try the ice cream before you leave 😜 I always buy Tillamook ice cream from the market but to actually get it and eat it from the source is something else ☺️

Great place to bring your friends and family and children and grandparents. Informative educational, great dining experience and plenty of swag for sale. Go from the upstairs and view down on the factory. Cutting a fat hog with the cheese slicers wrappers boilers cookers. Inspire your children's young minds with the cheese factory tour. Self-guided or you could have a tour guide free cheese samples also available for purchase ice cream, hamburgers, pizza and everything cheesy your children can even do the milk the cow exhibit. Do they get to experience on a cow decoy how the milking process works?

Took the self guided tour, and you could see workers processing the cheese, and you were able to sample the cheese! Their shop had the most diverse accompaniments for your next cheese boards. Thanksgiving is around the corner, would recommend this for supplying their own celebrations, or as the ultimate hostess gift ever. Had the Oregon Strawberry and Oregon Cherry ice creams, super delicious.

My husband likes cheese, and he has wanted to visit the factory, and this day was fantastic! We love their products; we always buy them in our local grocery store. The self-guided tour was fun, and the free cheese was excellent too! We got there early to avoid the crowd. The food hall has a good selection, and we had a delicious cheeseburger for lunch!

Definitely come here if your in the area. The food is delicious and very cheesy. The ice cream is so soft and creamy with a variety of differ flavors. After eating definitely check out the upstairs cheese making factory. It shows you step by step how cheese is made with awesome facts. They also have 4 different cheeses to taste after the self tour.

Took the self guides tour where you get to view the different stages of cheese making through the large glass windows. When we went it was almost closing time - 6pm, hence the packing stations were stopped. Takes about 15-minutes to look through all windows and read about the different processes. Their ice cream outlet is worth waiting in line for. We took the 3-flavor combo (forgot the name) for $8, which is highly recommended compared to the cup or cone.

If you're in the area, this is a must see attraction, but definitely come with an empty stomach. Definitely plan ahead and buy your tour tickets in advance because they do sell out. We bought the Ice Cream Experience for $45 each and it was totally worth it! In addition to the guided tour and the taste buds test, we each got 5 servings of ice cream and a bag of souvenir items. We missed the guided cheese tasting tour, but now we have a good excuse to come back. The gift shop is huge, and while the items there are pricey, they're high quality.

Really fun place to visit. Free entry but you can pay for a guided tour if you want. It’s fun to see the history of Tillamook cheese. You can see the workers at work, there is a gift shop along with food and ice cream. It was pretty busy on the Saturday that we went. Definitely recommend stopping by. You can also get free samples of cheese.

First time visiting since their remodel and it's amazing! So much open space, fun goods and yummy treats. We bought multiple cheeses, a fun looking butter tray and were tempted by their fun shirts! Even though they had just opened and it was before lunch, we opted for the ice cream and was not disappointed. They even served the cones in a cup which is very beneficial. We didn't do the self guided tour but I'm excited to go back with the kids (it was such a fun kid free stop too). Thank you!!

If you love cheese as much as I do, you need to go to the Tillamook creamery! The site offers an interesting look into their cheese production process and has plenty of things to eat, buy, and enjoy. It was pretty crowded when we went, and looked like it was filling up fast! I recommend going early unless you are willing to fight the crowds! It’s a popular spot and well worth the trip!

Good visit overall. It was super crowded when we went and we had to park far away. It is interesting seeing how the cheese is made. They offer some free samples. Great gift shop and food selections, but all pretty expensive. If you have never been, go at least once.

There's a short self guided tour that explains how they make their cheese with free samples of sharp cheddar, white cheddar, and cheese curds. There is a HUGE gift shop that has goods as well as merch. They have a food court with many cheesy goods such as pizza. They also have an ice cream shop with all the flavors in rotation. The parking lot is huge but unpaved. There is an overflow parking lot if the one next to the factory is full. It gets really full and the lines for the food court and ice cream are long. Otherwise, the self guided tour does not get too crowded. I highly recommend the tour for kids.

Such a cute family experience. The cheese making process tour was alright in my opinion but it was still interesting to see the process. I don’t think it was necessary to pay for it. There’s free cheese samples without the tour too I believe but having that private cheese tasting was fun and made the tour worth it. I liked the shopping experience and the cafe with the pizza, ice cream, mac n cheese etc. Fun if you’ve never done it but after you’ve seen it once, probably not worth returning :)

We took the well organized walking tour of the Tillamook Creamery. It interesting to see the process from the large viewing area above the action. Lots of automation to see. We had an ice cream, selected from lots of flavors. There's a large gift shop which also sells cheese that my not be easy to find (my favorite is the smoked black pepper white cheddar- it has a kick). Worth a visit if you're in the area. We visited on a Wednesday morning in September and the crowd was minimal (very short wait for ice cream).

I always stop by Tillamook when we go to the coast. I haven't been since they updated the visitor center so that was neat. The self-guided tour is pretty similar to how it was and very informative. I will say I miss the old sampling with cubes and tooth picks. Food is still great. But maybe living in the mid-west I got a bit of sticker shock for food and the merch. I got the spicy mac and cheese which was absolutely divine. We got ice cream after and the wait wad like 20 minutes in line, so pack your patience.

This was a new but fun experience for our family. We just relocated out here and are getting to know the area. My kids had a great time on the self guided tour and learning about the process of making cheese. They had a blast in the Tillamook van photo op and hands on with learning how to milk the cow statue and feed the calf. They loved the cheese samples as well, but let's face it, their favorite part was the ice cream.

Fun place to see and learn the basics of cheese making process. Nice spots to take memorable pictures. Highly recommended for visitors, family and kids. Cafeteria has a nice selection of ice cream 🍦 flavors. You can go to Old Oregon Smokehouse right across the creamery on highway 101 (amazing clam chowder, possibly best in Oregon) for sea food after Tillamook creamery visit.

  • 5/5 Christine G. 5 months ago on Google
The lines were short inside. The choices in ice cream are delicious. Got 3 flight for $8 which is totally worth it. I'm not a huge ice cream person but every now and then enjoy a good bowl. The pizzas looked amazing and definitely going back with my family to try some. There is free cheese samples to try on the second floor and windows that look into the factory. Gift shop has something for everyone and service was good. No lines all all where ever we went inside.

Fascinating to see cheese being made at such a large scale. You can tell just by looking you are getting a quality product but most importantly watching the workers at their craft being diligent and looking so very joyful. Way to go Tillamook. They also give a military/veteran discount. 🇺🇲

Fun stop. Lots of parking. Did the self-guided tour to learn about their cows and the cheese making process. Cheese samples provided, all good. Large gift shop to buy souvenirs and various (cold) Tillamook products. Large sitting area, both indoor and out, to enjoy either lunch or ice cream or both!
