Visit during prayer time for your Inner Peace and The biggest festival celebrated in this village is the Poi-Nen-Chi Festival, which is held in the month of March. This occasion is organized to pay homage to Lord Buddha. Poi-Nun-Hok is another grand festival in which the birth of Lord Buddha is celebrated. You will also get to see many traditional dance forms that are performed by the women living in this village. On your trip to the Namphake Village, you get to know more about the culture and traditions of the communities residing here. The traditional stilt house of this village is another attractive thing to be noticed here. You can also enjoy a family picnic on the banks of the Burhidihing River. The months of October to March are the best time to plan holidays here as you get to see many colorful festivals that are celebrated in this village. Thank You.

It's a very Beautiful and serene place. Great for mental peace. It's open for all, there's no need of any tickets. Slippers need to be kept aside. You can lit candle and incense sticks inside the temple. 100metres apart there is Burhidihing river, great place for sight seeing. It is not open for picnic because of Covid.Near the monastery there's only one food place and there's a museum.

Very peaceful place full of positive energy. No matter how disturbed your mind was, once you are here you will be relaxed for sure. Full of positive vibes. The respected monk is very approachable and if you want you can share your problems etc, to get really effective suggestions. They also provide medicines for health related problems. The medicinal tea they offer during our visit was helpful enough to get relaxed. The riverside view makes this place even beautiful. Wish to visit this place again.

A peaceful place to visit situated at the bank of Burhi Dihing river, Naharkatia, Tinsukia. The ambiance, the scenic beauty and silence is calm and only peace loving people should visit the Namphake Buddhist Monastery. Namphake is a village inhabited by Tai phake community. They are Tai speaking people and maintain their own unique culture. You will feel their cultural presence by looking at their elevated Bamboo huts, improvised conceptual huts, houses and ethnic costume. The village is situated in Naharkatia, around 20 km away from Duliajan in Tinsukia. While travelling you will see several tea estate on the roadside. That makes the journey more exciting and satisfactory.

I went there from Dibrugarh by partially using public transport. From Phulbagan in Dibrugarh, I took a shared Tata Winger to Naharkatia. The journey took 2 hours and the fare is ₹100. From Naharkatia I took an e-auto to Namphake. I paid ₹150 each way. I asked the auto to wait for me in Namphake. You don't get auto-rickshaws in the village.

Nice peaceful place. Views are nice. Had strange feel of serenity here. You can visit it and even get enchanted stones from the head priest. Visited it with family. Long drive. Early morning visits feel even more enchanting. A must place to visit.

The monastery is in a very decent and serene peaceful village name fakial it has lost of Buddhist statues in various forms such as praying with all his disciples and accepting alms from his pupils and people and various dragon form structures that adorned the chong and villages around it....the monastery has two big gates one at the front accessible by visitors and common people but the back gate is only for the monks and their kins to access flowers and trees are being taken care of and reared so lovely it definitely looks very eye catching and beautiful and it has also the very main important thing of Buddhist religion which has also been accepted by the Indian constitution i.e the Ashoka pillar or the five lions of the Ashoka stamhb....it has also got various loving cute dogs very friendly to people and this place has been run by the Thailand Buddhist society with the king and his sister who has visited the monastery in the year 2009.....
