I visited the Hemingway Bar in Tirana in early December. Great exterior, wonderful interior, and fine courteous service. And the cocktails are excellent. I'd go back for sure if I'm lucky enough to get to Tirana again. As I was leaving the bar, I think it was the owner that very kindly came up to me and asked if everything was good. That's great service!

What great place to have a drink and enjoy yourself. From outside feels like you are in Havana due to the old architecture. Inside than is very cosy and retro atmosphere with Hemingway's pictures and quotes. Everything is done to perfection and the music is amazing with a mixture of British, Latin jazz, reggae and many more. If you have time you can easily spent the whole night there. Service is fast and the waiters are very polite. And the cute cat sleeping at the bar is a bonus. If you go to Tirana you can't afford to miss it, I will definitely return.

The cocktails here were delish. You are not restricted to the menu. The outdoors in the summer is a must. We did come here a Monday night - hence the music prolly stopped playing because of that - but nonetheless the staff was sweet, the drinks were amazing, and they accommodated 16 people. This place is a freaking vibe! Lovely, shabby-chic, awesome jazz music, super friendly waiter, plus they have a beautiful cat living in the bar (!). I've been to a number of Hemingway bars in my time - this one deserves the name and i am pretty sure old Ernest would approve. This place fills my heart with joy.

Decently priced drinks in an artsy atmosphere. Has a friendly and cute resident cat. I ordered the espresso martini and it was good. Items without prices on the menu mean they’re not available. It gets pretty busy in the early evening but empties out around 11pm. They also have a decent beer selection.

Their name is pretty ironic, but I guess this is what Albanian society has come to. Not a good representation of Albania, art lovers or whatever "culture" they think they are "gate keeping". Do better and thank you for the experience. :)

A bar with a lot of character that definitely you should visit in Tirana during your first visit. They have an impressive collection of spirits so they can definitely prepare any cocktail that you can imagine. The staff is really friendly and helpful. The place was inspired by fans of Hemingway so there are many decorations on that regard. A mix of all ages visit this place and it's pretty popular among tourists for obvious reasons.

Horrible service! The waiter (female) was totally rude on two separate occasions! The last straw was when 45 minutes before closing she wouldn’t let us sit down, while having multiple empty tables saying they were reserved and they were closing soon. Never have I ever felt so offended in my life. Poor poor service

A very cool backstreet jazz bar in the centre of Tirana. Service was incredibly polite and we watched the waiter pull further tables from thin air in order to accommodate prospective punters. There was a live pianist creating a beautiful atmosphere as well as a looped projection of ‘The Rum Diaries’ which added to the atmosphere. This place is clearly popular with tourists and locals and well worth a visit.

Wow, the most horrible experience ever! We waited for the waiter for a while, and when he finally arrived he said that they don’t serve the public. Apparently you have to be part of some fake club to get a drink here, meanwhile our friends have been there before. Go give your money to another business that actually appreciates it. Screw these pretentious people.

So, sit down and enjoy the scene as people you might not like get turned down for service.

Walking by this place, I had to go in! The atmosphere is awesome and both the bartenders I spoke with were incredibly friendly, cheerful and made good conversation. They had a great selection of rum and scotch, some of which can be pricey. I would expand the cocktail menu to include more than a handful of drinks but that's my only suggestion.

I would give to Hemingway 10 stars if I could. This place is fantastic for both locals and travelers. It’s a rendezvous place for people who enjoy good drinks, good music and good energy. They opened almost 10 years ago and kept the exact same philosophy. 💜

Nice place and a lovely cat but unfriendly waitress. We went there with 2 friends at a time where just the 3 waitresses and a couple were there around 6 PM just to have a beer. Since we hadn't seen each other for a long time we were full of joy and respectively talking a lot. The unfriendly waitress came and asked us to lower the voice, as if we were in a library and not in a cuban drinks place. We all have bad days but at work you need to wear a smile :)

This was a beautiful night. The jazz music was terrific. However, that does not even compare to the service from the lovely staff. The beers and cocktails went down well. There are a handful of very special bars that I've been to in my travels and this ranks among the best. The warm intimate setting, the friendly waitress, the music. Just a perfect way to waste away an evening. I can't wait to return here on my next trip to Tirana.

This bar is awesome. It reminds me of a quaint dive bar in Key West, Florida. The staff are super friendly and the drinks are reasonably priced. We can't wait to go back again!

I really couldn't say anything negative about Hemingway Bar. The atmosphere was amazing, the bartenders were friendly and helpful, drinks are not on the cheap side but with the quality you are getting its absolutely worth it. I would recommend it for travellers in Tirana.

Ordered a daiquiri, but got a papa doble and after clearly stating 3 times this is not what I ordered and because of diabetes this is not suitable for me. However, staff didnt care and was rude. Atmosphere in the cafe however is nice, music is good. But the staff ruined the vibe.

We visited in late October on our last evening in Tirana and had a great experience at this bar. It’s a jewel of a bar, both waiters were lovely and we received great drink recommendations. The music was wonderful, a musical oasis we found nowhere else on our trip through Albania. They even have a cool and cute bar cat!

Eclectic bar decor and good music but the night I went maybe was too busy for the staff to handle? Took upwards of 30 minutes to get order taken and then when I tried to order a drink from the menu it was evidently not offered anymore. When I asked for a suggestion of something similar, the server gave me the menu again which didn’t have any description of the drinks just some unusual drink names. I eventually asked for a straight liquor pour and it took 15-20 minutes to receive. When asked for water it also was about 4 times or so that we had to remind them. I’m sure I’ll give this place another shot since it didn’t seem intentional but perhaps the servers were high on weed. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Hemingway is a fantastically atmospheric bar evoking all sorts of Cuban and warm jazz vibes. The decor is a visual feast. The bar is extremely well stocked, but very narrow so only two bartenders can work in it, and when we went on a Saturday night, it slows service. Cocktails were average (probably because of the workload) so would suggest spirit mixers or neat spirits.
