Wonderful food and pleasant enough staff, but as others have stated there is no menu and no transparency with pricing. Expect to pay London prices in this Tirana restaurant. Waiter recites the menu to you so you do not see any pricing, which is exceptionally higher than most other Tirana restaurants in the area. Others explained this was why this restaurant was empty on a Friday night when all the others next door were full to capacity. That being said, the food was fantastic and the service also. I did not regret coming here but I have still dropped one star as I can imagine to more budget conscious travellers the bill may be a very unpleasant shock. If they were more transparent about pricing this would be 5 stars. 75 euros for one starter, two main meals and two desserts with wine and gin and tonic is a fair price for the quality of what we received, if a little high considering the competition.

This is my first "fancy" restaurant experience ever in my life! My fiancé and I are on a 3 month vacation away from our home country and we decided to try a different type of restaurant. I came across this restaurant on the internet after my fiancé and I were trying to find something to eat so I found us this place and we dat down inside to eat. Only thing that I was missing was the dish-based wines and drinks. WOW! Otium is a small and elegant restaurant with good music and a great relaxed vibe. I had the most incredibly delicious lamb dish. Braised in olive oil for 24 hours (low heat, of course) and served in a 'Lebanese' sauce (oranges, dates, yellow raisins, walnuts, chilies and sesame seeds/fresh herbs). It was tender and freaking mouthwatering delicious. The veggies were steamed and served cold dressed in olive oil and salt and were a nice balance to the sweet/spicy of the sauce. I acknowledge that the portion is smallish and so I ate slowly (my instinct was to gobble it down) and savoured every mouthful. Turns out that after enjoying a freshly made delicious dessert it was the right amount of food and I left fully satiated. There is a wonderful selection of wines to compliment and enjoy your meal. This truly was an exceptional meal and seriously one of the best I have had while full-time traveling for 2 years. The service was impeccable. I highly recommend treating yourself to a wonderful food experience here.

Had dinner there on our first evening in Tirana, and found Otium in a small side street. It is somewhat souterrain, and there are not too many tables, either. We seated ourselves (careful, no baby chairs) in a corner, and the waiter recited the menu to us - very nice. We opted for steak and fish, later followed by dessert. Absolutely exceptional food and the culinary highlight of our trip to Albania. The place is five star all the way and I must admit that at one point I'd started to worry if we were perhaps out of our depth in such a high end establishment but I needn't have been concerned at all. The staff were superb, the local wine was excellent and having feasted like kings we were delighted to find the bill was a fraction of the price we'd expect to pay in even a mediocre restaurant back home. Worked out at less than £35 a head including a generous tip. First place I'll come back to if ever I'm in Tirana again.

Probably one of the best restaurants in Tirana, Otium has been consistently amazing over the years and it is a proper fine dining experience (without the fluff). They’re down to earth, prices are very reasonable and the food is top quality. I had the filet mignon with foie gras and a salad with truffle sauce (pictured), they were just incredible. The filet mignon with the wild berries is also mind blowing, the mix of flavours on the opposite side of the spectrum is just perfect. The octopus main course is also amazing. When you’re in Tirana, Otium is a must.

Something unique about randomly walking past and seeing a restaurant, and spontaneously deciding to go in and find an absolute gem. This french restaurant is fabulous fine dining at it's best, Michael managing the front of the house, has worked around the world and helped us navigate the wine list and the menu, he was also a pleasure to chat with. The food presentation was impeccable, the flavours and quality was perfection. We were also spoilt with a dessert platter at the end, it was an absolute delight. A big thank you from both of us. The restaurant is very cosy and perfect for a long lazy lunch or dinner, tucked away in a side street in the heart of Tirane. We will definitely be revisiting this restaurant again in Tirane.

These were all excellent, and the filet mignon that came after was one of the best entrees I can recall having. No one told us that are closed, no one called me to say I should not come. We tried to call them the whole day to check the booking is in place but no-one picked up the phone, so we came and what a disappointment it was at my birthday.

He went to fetch menus straight away and returned rapidly, unfortunately he failed to tell us that only 4 main courses were available ( these were the 4 most expensive dishes on the menu ) as we were not aware of this we both continued to look through all the choices and chatted about what we going to have. During which time the host was bringing over water to our table and bread with a dip. We ordered our starter and then and attempted to order our choices of mains to which the host dropped the bombshell. We requested more time to look at the only 4 options. Within a minute, the starter arrived. I was livid, felt completely trapped by the host. He knew exactly what he was doing. No time was given to make any choices about, do we stay, do we go!! The food itself - My partner had the Burrata has her starter, she said it was pretty good. I didn’t bother. I had most of the bread that with us within a millisecond of arriving. The mains - If you mega hungry, avoid it like the plague. You’ll be wanting a kebab on the way home. I had the lamb, was really tasty and tender, but within 3 mouthfuls it vanished. My side veg was also freezing cold, not good. My partner had the sea bass. She loved it, but again, on the small side. Highlight of the meal was the dessert, we had the cheesecake with cherry jam to share. Delicious! Honest review made.

No prices or menu, but we spent around 3500 lek each for a three course meal with a glass of wine. Not cheap for Tirana, but compared to similar restaurants in other European countries it's a steal. We looked on TripAdvisor for good restaurants in Tirana , this was listed as best , and we were not disappointed . The service was excellent with a very helpful and friendly waiter , and the food was superb . We had a bottle of really good quality Albanian red wine , a delicious plate of two types of salad , flavours just complemented each other . Veal steak with truffle and mushrooms , and cheesecake and yoghurt desserts to follow . All for probably half the cost of a similar meal in UK in a top restaurant . Excellent !
