Great place for a quality meal in Tirana. We stopped in for a late lunch and were almost put off by the large construction site next door, but found that in the courtyard it was clean and quiet. Lovely courtyard with some great decorations, real trees and vines, and comfortable seating. Staff were super helpful and friendly and spoke English well. Each day for lunch they do a different menu from 12 to 4pm, and the great thing is that they have a full display of all the dishes so you can go and see them. All look great. Food was very fresh and very tasty, generous servings and very good value. Apparently Friday they do seafood lunch with different fish and seafood pasta. Looks like we will be back Friday! 😎 Update: so we went back on Friday and had the seafood lunch. Same experience before, excellent service and great food. The waiter even remembered my wife's preferred meal! Highly recommended.

You can feel the warmth and beauty of this place even when you first enter it. The two guys that served us were so, so kind, they kept checking on us and making sure we liked everything, and the food was made pretty fast. Everything you can see here was a combination made in heaven! You can notice they they offer unusual combinations of food but they are doing it insanely well, all the flavors go together. Props to the chef/s. It makes my heart smile knowing that this place exists, and if you are from Tirana or going there, please visit it! It is truly one of the most unique experiences I've had, I'd give it a million stars if I could. ❤️

The most delicious food in the whole Albania. The customer service is top-notch which is already the common thing but they went above and beyond. 6 guests were just entering the restaurant while the waiters already put the tables together side by side so the group could sit comfortably. We received proper explanation of all the lunch options. And been provided the WiFi password right a second prior asking for it. Waiters are friendly. Food is delicious. Serving is beautiful. Location is central. The interior is so cozy that you don't want to leave the place. Music is pleasant to ear. Highly recommended a thousand times if you're into tasty food in the nice comforting place :)

Do you ever have a meal that exceeds your already high expectations, and that you just know you want to repeat? We had just that experience at Ejona. Located in Tirana’s trendy Bllok neighbourhood, this laid-back, high-end restaurant offers an imaginative menu and professional, very friendly service. Most importantly, of course, the food is fantastic (*Note: they accept Visa). We started by sharing an appetizer: Roasted Mushrooms tossed with sliced almonds & flax seeds and garnished with olives, asparagus, cheese cream and Parmesan cheese. This a superb appy: a fantastic start to the meal. We next shared a Volcano Salad: spinach accented by crispy Parmesan cheese, cherry tomatoes, pomegranate, sesame & flax seeds, and aceto cream (a delicious cream dressing based on Modena Balsamic Vinegar - just sublime). In all honesty we could have just ordered one of each of these dishes per person, drank wine and gnoshed on their fluffy, delightful olive buns and left happy - but we were glad we shared because that left us room for two fabulous mains. Full disclosure: we both adore dining on rabbit dishes so we tend to order them whenever we get the chance. That said, we know good rabbit (and, alas, have encountered the not-so-good as well) and something told us these folks knew how to do it right. One of us had the Rabbit Role. This is delicious rabbit meat wrapped in turkey prosciutto (yes, you read that right) and cashews, served on a pool of absolutely off-the-charts rabbit demi-glace accented with a wild berry reduction. Easily one of the best rabbit dishes we’ve ever enjoyed anywhere in the world. The second dish was Rabbit Leg baked with chickpeas, cream cheese, porcini mushrooms, pearl onions in a rabbit bubble wine demi-glace. The resulting dish had a cassoulet-like quality: rich, layered and filling (we couldn’t finish all the chickpeas). We ordered some Sautéed Spinach topped with goat cheese as a side, and while it was lovely we really didn’t need it to be satisfied. We also enjoyed two glasses of a very nice Italian Spumante as well as a liter of sparkling water, while one of us enjoyed a superb glass of red wine with his main. Our only regret for the dinner: we were too full to order dessert! The entire fabulous meal was 5,000L (which included a 400L gratuity for the fine service). Fantastic value for money. We will be back. Highly recommended.

I love its little rustic vibe and the summer breeze while eating outside in the patio, the service I received was really attentive and efficient. I had at first a ravioli which is pretty good, but unfortunately the risotto that comes after is too hard and undercooked. Still enjoy the experience and maybe will come back and try something else. Their breakfast seems amazing.

What bothered us, however, were the portion sizes: The dishes are already priced above average. You would expect at least a normal portion. But far from it: The portions are small, so that we were not really full even with an appetizer. This is especially true for homemade pasta: starting at 400 LEK for five ravioli is quite heavy. Even the portion of beef tongue for 900 LEK does not fill you up. We left the restaurant unsatisfied and got something to eat at the snack bar afterwards.

Fantastic place just off the street in a nice secluded courtyard with inside seating options as well...I was very pleased with the absolute deliciousness of the food and the modern and interesting combinations of fruit with savoury dishes, really enhancing the dishes and adding palate complexity. And... it was reasonably priced, still allowing for some top end expenditure if you feel like it on just a few items. The rest is very good value for money, at least by Australian standards ;-)

You know you really like a restaurant when it’s the first one that you felt inclined to leave a review for. I’ve dined at Ejona on five occasions and not only enjoyed the food, but was pleased by the warm welcome I received each time that I visited. The ambience and decor are fantastic, too. I would highly recommend visiting this restaurant. Thank you to the staff and chefs of this wonderful place. As for food recommendations, the pan-seared filet mignon (served at dinner) was my favorite... at my request - the second time that I ordered this dish - it was served with mashed potatoes and asparagus. My second favorite was the couscous dish (served at lunch- though the menu changes daily) with carrots, broccoli, pumpkin, and fried cheese balls. My only criticism would be the Albanian donuts that were served at breakfast- they just weren’t as good as I expected them to be. After enjoying the donuts shared with me by an Albanian grandma in the past, hers were much better in comparison. Naturally, it can be hard to beat a family recipe, so I won’t deduct a star for the donuts.

The fennel salad for lunch is in my opinion just out of this world. Our waiter, Eraldi was incredibly considered and professional which made the experience even better. It was funny it came with loads of things that you’d never see on an English Breakfast in the UK though (kidney beans, sweet corn, toasted bread, etc).
