So so nice! Eri, you are amazing - I will tell you 100 times until you get bored of seeing / hearing that! People make sure you tip those people doing this job, it's not easy and it's definitely worth it 💙 Take this tour, you will never forget it and it's a very good start to knowing the city when you get to Tirana! 100% recommended!

We absolutely loved our tour with Eri. He was extremely knowledgeable, funny, and helped us understand the very important history in Albania and Tirana. Although we did the walking tour after spending a few days in the city, we learned many new things and importantly, we were able to make connections across the history that we felt were gaps in our knowledge previous to the tour. It was the perfect balance of history, jokes, current context, and personal stories. Highly recommended!

By far one of the best tours I did. Klint is a great guy, explaining with passion the history of his country and with details about the recent days of Albania. It is heartbreaking to listen to the stories and you leave the tour with a very good impression of the propel and country, empathizing with them. Hands off for the team, very good tour and way to connect to the people!

This tour is amazing: you get to know this fascinating city from a different point of view. You learn about history, religions, traditions and you wil have a very ironic and interesting guide (mine was Eri), who gave us very useful advice on what to do and where to eat after the tour. I strongly recommend it. You will love Tirana after this tour.

Gazi was an awesome guide, very informative and funny. We never got bored on the tour as you do with some other free walking tours. Loved this tour as it gave us a good understanding of Albanian history and life and you get to see the main attractions of the city. Highly recommended!

Really enjoyed this tour. Our guide, Gazi, was very knowledgeable about the history of Tirana and also shared about some of his own experience growing up in the city. We walked all around the main parts of central Tirana and learned about the history and culture of Albania. I highly recommend this tour as a great way to start your time in Tirana.

Really good tour with Gazi, seeing numerous sights in Tirana. He shares a range of history and a lot of good stories that are not only informative, but also give you a glimpse of Albanian people and their hopes for the future. I recommend everyone to go on this tour when they visit Tirana! Walk lasts around 2-2.5 hours. Easy walking. Many stops along the way. Tipping at the end is welcomed based on your experience and ability.

We absolutely recommend this tour company and specifically the tour with Eri. Our tour with Eri was informative, nicely tailored towards our interests, well organized yet flexible to respond to our requests/questions/inquiries. We felt that we were well heard and it ultimately was akin to walking and talking with a friend along the streets in Tirana and learning about the local culture, history, people, food, buildings, etc. Eri was willing to do this tour even for the two of us and is ready to do it every day irrespective of weather conditions and /or season. We didn’t feel rushed and learned a lot as well as received a lot of good recommendations about Tirana and Albania in general. This is an excellent tour to start anyone’s trip to Tirana to become oriented about Albanian history and specifically Tirana.

Perfect walking tour and perfect start of our Albania trip. Eri is a very informative guide and gave us great insight into Albanian history with a touch of personal stories. This insight is greatly needed if you want to visit some Albanian museums as they don’t give a lot of background sometimes.

Had a great tour of the main points in downtown Tirana. Eri was an amazing guide - funny and informative and can also give recommendations for restaurants, etc. Would 100% recommend this tour (probably do it toward the beginning of your trip so you have some context). A bit of history and some culture all mixed together. 2 hours is the perfect length!

We had a tour with Eri today and it was the best! Any question would be answered, the two hours run away quickly, interesting if you know nothing or quite something, always works :) Eri always asked for feedback, understanding... was funny, informal and still super informative, educational, I'm super excited, thank you:)))

I would have liked to give more but I had calculated my accounts incorrectly. The tour was well done, very interesting. The guides are open to conversation and that makes it a real exchange. However, I find that we don't discover the city enough. I'm sure there are other things to see. It is a tour that is limited to the essentials, recommended to visit Tirana in just a few days, or to have more information on the buildings. THANKS!

Superb tour with Aurora. Recommended to not only get an excellent overview of Tirana, but also of Albanian history and current culture. The pace was excellent and there was plenty of opportunity to ask questions. Aurora also gave helpful suggestions in terms of museums and places to eat and drink. A great start to our stay.

Brilliant tour, Eri (not Gino) clearly loves what he does, which is talking about his city and its history, and that's exactly what you want in a tour guide. He can answer any question you have about Tirana and the rest of the country (and I mean any question) and he's funny too. A perfect introduction to Tirana that really helped me get my bearings. Thank you Eri!

One of the best walking tours I've ever done. We were a huge group, 50 odd people, and the tour guide still managed to give a clear and informative tour about the history to modern Albania. I was going to skip Tirana, but this tour made it all worth it.

Eri is the best guide hands down!!! Just this year me and my wife traveled 14 countries, did 14 walking tours and the one Eri provided was the best out of all. Great sense of humor, gives you the facts that you need to know and want to hear, no boring history, 2 hours flew by! Thanks a lot! Highly recommended!!! 5 stars.

Picture is of Enver Hoxha' s house( former communist dictator) closed to the public) - seen from the outside on the walk. The walk was well planned and comprehensive, taking in such hard to find sights as the statues of Lenin,Stalin and Enver Hoxha, given the flick from their former prominent positions and relegated to an obscure side street.

We went on an excellent Tirana walking tour with Gazi. The history of Albania is truly unique and we were delighted to learn so much in just a short time. The tour was delivered with honest commentary on modern Tirana and lots of humour. I go on walking tours in most cities I visit and this was one of the best. Tirana turned out to be such a cool, vibrant city- we wished we had more time to spend there. This tour and the city, highly recommended!

Book it! Gazi was such a kind, informative guide with an excellent sense of humour & wit and very genuine. This makes it feel like sometimes it’s a friend showing you around Albania. Him and the agency’s communication responses are top notch, and they were extremely responsive and generous with information *even* before I ever booked a tour with them. True professionals. I came during winter season as a solo traveler and wanted to go to berat. In the beginning, they didn’t have any trips organized to berat since it needed a minimum # of people. I asked them to keep me in mind and message me if other people decide to do a berat tour, and mostly expected they may forget about me. To my surprise, they messaged me before i arrived Albania notifying me they found other interested travelers going to berat!

I have been doing free walking tours for 7 years now and every time I get impressed by the travel guides. This time I had the pleasure to meet Gazi which I can consider as a friend now, he was very professional, insisted on doing the tour even though I was the only person that day (covid and January the first), I learned a lot about the history and the culture of Albania and he helped me to organise my next trips (Dajti ekspres, Shkodër) Gazi is a great guide but also a great person. I advise everyone to do this tour (better on your first day of arrival so you can get all the needed tips) and I also advise everyone to visit Tirana and the rest of Albania!

We did this tour on our last day in Albania but wish we would’ve done it on the first. The info given about the history of Albania is very interesting and moving and a great start to get to know the country you are traveling in. Our tour guide (something with a C, we forgot his name sorry) was amazing. Next to the anecdotes he gave about his family living in Communist times he also shared jokes with us and created an atmosphere were everyone felt free to ask any questions no matter how personal or controversial. Would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Albania/Tirana!

I decided a long time ago that a guided introduction is essential for tourism. If, in addition, they do it in your language, in a country and city that you don't know, and they do it with the knowledge, amenity and friendliness of Tirana Free Tour, in this case with Ema, you know that you have made the right choice. Furthermore, following a query about the tour, the person in charge of Tirana Free Tour, Gazi, became our best ally in every way. A ten for these friends
