The hostel itself has a lot of potential... except that it is dirty and is run by a megalomaniac with who handles issues like a temperamental child. If the owner is no where to be found you may have a decent experience here but if he’s lingering I would run run away. I do not recommend this place and will not be returning.

Amazing place, the staff and the guest are cool and great atmosphere. The flag is clean and with great location between main station and square. At he night you can enjoy the great views and they have a tents and now for the season is more fresh. So, I recommend that. Thank you guys

Nice hostel, friendly and helpful staff. The best thing was the big terrace where you can chill. The breakfast was the same everyday but you had where to choose from. Location is not exactly in the city center, I'd say 15-20 minutes by walk but it was okay. There are supermarkets and everything you need around.

Trash. On the 4th floor and nobody opened the door for me.

Watch out for the 1 review fake reviews. The bathroom is disgusting and not the worst part of this place. The roof top is nice but I’ll decorated and trashy. Nice lounge chair, lots of smoke from owner.

Stayed two nights at Hostel Albania in May of 2018. The location is great, easy to walk to other sights in the main part of the city. When I stayed, there were only a few guests, so the owner, Klaus, actually suggested a restaurant and went out with us. Really friendly guy and very knowledgeable about the city. Even let me take a book with me from the library that I'd gotten sucked into but hadn't finished yet when it was time to leave. Rooms and facilities were simple but clean. Would recommend!

We stayed here for a quick overnight flying out of Albania. It was clean and the beds were fairly comfortable. The building is dated and in a back alley of sorts that I didn’t like as I walked up to it, but once inside it had everything we needed. The air conditioning worked extremely well and the wifi was good too. The hostel hosts were organizing a dinner the night we arrived for guests, and though we didn’t go, it was a nice invitation. It seemed like a great spot especially for solo travelers. In terms of accessibility, it was several flights of stairs up to the hostel with no elevator and there were several spots with weird steps down that were a bit hazardous. Lastly, the airport taxi service they offered there was more expensive than just calling a taxi yourself, so it would be worth asking around about a better service, we found Taxi Lux to be a good one.

The hostel is simple and nice, with a relaxed atmosphere, in my opinion it is in an excellent location, only 15/20 minutes walk from the center with all the attractions. To Improve: 1) Not all the volunteers are particularly kind and helpful 2) In Hostelworld they say "breakfast included" but in reality they only prepare some coffee and tea without anything to eat, so there is no breakfast included. However, you pay very little so in general it's more than good.

We only stayed one night, but really enjoyed the hostel. Big bedrooms, comfortable lounge and kitchen and a fabulous roof top terrace to chill out on and enjoy the view. Security could be better and there is no lift. But staff, breakfast and location were great. Would recommend if looking for value for money. Cheers Karen and John

One of best hostel experiences so far. Not expensive, airconditioning present, good breakfast and a relaxed atmosphere. The rooftop is a nice to drink a beer and to relax. The owner Klaus knows a lot about the city and is keen on helping you!

Nice location. Everything is close by. Generally clean. Has a cool terrace.

This hostel has great amenities. AC in the rooms, comfy beds, a well equipped kitchen, clean showers with hot water, and a cool rooftop lounge area. I also found the owner and his team to be incredibly helpful and generally fun to hang out with. The location was fine - a little walk from Blocku or the main square, but the walk is nice, there's other stuff and places to eat in the area. Good stay in Tirana!

Great place to have as your bass in Albania,very helpful and has lots of suggestions for your trip to Albania, it is a about 20 minutes walk from the main square.

Stayed five nights. Loved the place. Owner and staff are amazing. The place is clean and save. Huge dormitories, fully equipped kitchen and fast wifi. One of the best Hostels I ever stayed in. Will be back...!

This is the best hostel I’ve ever stayed in so far. First: the people who run it are just awesome and seem truly sympathetic and they can help you out and have interesting stuff to tell. Second: I felt immediately like home because the way they designed the hostel is just lovely and feels like a real home, not just a hostel. It’s cozy and sweet and the big kitchen makes you sit in there and automatically interact with other people in the hostel. Third: the roof terrace is just incredible! At night, I felt like I am in a movie with all the city lights and the view above Tirana. And last: the price is amazing. It’s the cheapest hostel in Tirana. Super cool atmosphere. I will definitely come back. Thanks a lot.
